Hi Paula, Thank You for taking us on a tour of Charleston! My husband and I LOVE Charleston, and we are hopeful that we will be able to revisit this WONDERFUL city this year. The weather looked absolutely Beautiful the day of your outing, and it brought back so many Lovely memories for me of past visits. Thank you again Paula for taking us along with you on your outing. Thank you to Debra as well for sharing the Beautiful teapots that she purchased. Paula, your outing has Really gotten me more Excited to returning to Charleston. I can hardly wait! 😊 Have a great day, and take care. Sincerely, Paula from Indianapolis
That courtyard garden has Phillip Simmons iron work and the topiaries were designed by Pearl Fryar. (Mr. Simmons' work is all over Charleston and is also featured in the Smithsonian.) It's maintained by the Charleston Garden Club. I parked there every day when I was the nurse at the achool across the street.
I’m going to have to put Charleston on my list to visit, it’s such a cute city! I agree with you about paintings. I once found a painting in a thrift store and at the time I had no idea where I was going to hang it but I just loved it. It is one of my most favorite paintings and it turned out that the artist lives in South Africa so I was really glad that I picked it up.
Definitely add Charleston to your list! It’s a great city with lots of history! I always look for original art when I’m out thrifting. It’s so fun to find!
Hi Girls, thanks for the tour. The last time I went to Charleston my poor husband almost lost his mind with the traffic. It looks like you all picked a perfect time to go. There was a modern day Marty McFly riding his skateboard off the back of vehicles on King St. lol! 😂I need to try again maybe on a weekday.
The traffic can definitely be fierce sometimes! Weekdays and Sunday mornings tend to be quieter! Come visit sometime! We can thrift and antique together!😊
I'm so happy to take this tour of Charleston with you, Paula! So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this video, especially because sunshine has been in short supply here in Massachusetts, and Charlston's gorgeous weather looked so invititing! I loved the little petit point stool Truly was showing. That food looked scrumptious!!!
I just loved this travel video - and I didn't even have to pack a bag! The cobblestone streets, hidden gardens tucked away and the mural in the courtyard were just charming. Paula, I don't know how you refrained yourself from purchasing any of the dishware. The English village scene plates were sweet, the Flow Blue gravy boat was pricey but I loved the scalloped edge on its footing. Deborah, I just love your thrifted teapots - what a lucky friend you have! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Mary Beth! I can't wait to share more of Charleston! Those plates are my biggest regret - I can't stop thinking about them! I may have to go back! LOL
Hi Paula! You may have already posted a similar video, but I would love to see how you store all your beautiful dishes. I definitely lack storage space and would love some ideas.
I have talked briefly about storage but that is a great idea for a future video. I will definitely try to film that in the near future! Thanks for the inspiration!
We love Charleston and go there as often as we can. Would you mind sharing the names of the thrift stores you visit? We love to stop and visit these stores when we are in Charleston. Great video!
Thanks so much! Charleston is such a special place!! The thrift stores are not in Charleston proper - they are the goodwill in Goose Creek as well as the Goose Creek Antique Gallery.
Hi Janet - the thrift stores are not inside Charleston Proper. They are the Goodwill in Goose Creek and Summerville. I also shop at the Goose Creek Antique Gallery and the Second Chance thrift store in Summerville.
I’ve lived here my entire life and it is beautiful but really too crowded now unfortunately 😢 I’m not levimg because I have a lot of family here but it’s now overpriced and crowded.
Love Charleston! Thank you for sharing!!! ❤
It’s such a gorgeous city!!

Just the outing I needed on our grey damp spring day. I find of the week was a hand carved rooster that bends forward. I just love this little guy.
Thanks Mary Lynn! Please share your find with us! I would love to feature him in an upcoming video!!
What a lovely day
Thank you!

All I see in the courtyard is the hours and hours of work in hot, humid weather to keep it all pruned.
🤣 Indeed!
What was the name of the little chocolate shop?
It was called Chocolat by Adam Turoni
Here is their website
