I love to thrift for dishes - I can't seem to have enough! LOL I like to use them as seasonal decor, so I'm always happy to find unique or colorful pieces. What do you like to thrift for?
I agree with what you said about our society being so casual that we’ve lost the art of making things special. I have 11 grandchildren and occasionally I have a tea party for them. We dress up nice in our church clothes and practice our manners. They grandchildren ages range from 4 to 22 years. We have the best time.
Oh my goodness what fun!! Your grandchildren are so lucky and they will remember those tea parties their whole lives! Teaching manners is so important - believe me - I see so many kids that have not been raised with manners. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!
My mom always had tea parties for my four daughters… Waiting for granddaughters, myself, so I can continue on the tradition!

Tupperware item: You can fill the top with ice then set the food container on top to keep the food chilled.

A great video! You must have out of this world thrift shops. Since you asked I would love to see a joint thrift adventure with all three of you together. I know with life and distance all of that would make it difficult, just a dream. As always your finds are beautiful. I find your interaction with your doggies so sweet.

It's so funny you mentioned a joint thrift adventure - my sisters and I were just talking about how we could arrange that! Great idea!! We just may do it! Our thrift shops can be great and they can be a total bust. I have found that visiting frequently or regularly is the best way to find treasures. I have noticed that some prices are getting very high. I only purchase things that I think are a good value/price.

I am amazed at the prices you and your sisters pay for your beautiful finds. In New Jersey our prices are sometimes 3-4 times higher at thrift stores. (Even before this inflation we are all currently experiencing).
It is still possible to find some bargains at our thrift stores, but we have definitely seen an increase in prices. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of trips to the thrift store to find the bargains! But who doesn't love an excuse to visit the thrift store?! LOL

We definitely have similar tastes with dinnerware … I have a collection of thrift finds that I use through the different seasons and I smiled when you were sharing your set of sugar and milk! I could open a store with my many sets … I am quite envious of the pricing in your area … here in Canada we do not have as many thrift stores and the prices are a little higher but still I manage to find little treasures that I cherish! So lovely! I’m from a trio of sisters - a notch older - and we love a good Irish tea as well. We grew up on coffee at breakfast and tea throughout the rest of the day. Lovely finds. Each one is a gem, and I do plan to make the French 75!

Omg, my mom had the exact same Tupperware dip and chip container. In fact we had quite a few Tupperware things, from a set of avocado coloured canisters to a gravy shaker maker ( what my mom called it ). Thank you for the fond memories!

Oh yes by the way I'm a lover of all tea things too! I only drink loose leaf tea. I order mine out of Northern Ireland from a company named Suki Tea Co. It's Belfast breakfast tea. Order with your sister because the European postage is steep!

Your finds and prices are absolutely unbelievable. Our tastes are very similar. The gold platter reminds me of a sunflower. The covered turquoise dish is beautiful. Tea Party - how fun. I'm having a hot (tepid) chocolate tea party with my toddler grandson on Valentine's Day just as I did with my children when young. Thanks for sharing your decor style and thrifting.

i wish our goodwill had these fantastic items and prices. the prices at our goodwill are outragous. i did find another goodwill in another town with great priced but very low inventory.
We have the same issue with the Habitat for Humanity Restores here. There prices are absolutely ridiculous! And the stuff is often very poor quality. You can usually buy things new at a cheaper price. I don't shop there ever. It is very frustrating!
Good morning Paula! The Irish creamer and sugar bowl are charming! I'm part Irish, so I love to find things from Ireland! The Bavarian cream and sugar set is gorgeous! Your thrift haul is super! The last three thrift trips we went on yielded me nothing! Which is not a bad thing as I have way too many dish sets, too many mugs, too many baskets, etc.!
Prices here in Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, where I shop, are very much higher than other areas of the country. I watch many thrifters on RUclips, who have much better prices.
I agree with you on using nice things for everyday. Why save them for company? An old friend said it this way to me, when I was a newly wed, decades ago, "Treat your family like company, and your company like family!"
I absolutely love those canisters! 15 dollars is way less than a trip to the coffee shop! 😃

Hi Justinie! It is always so nice to hear from you! I went to Wellesley College and UMASS-Boston so I know prices in the Boston area are higher than in most places! That can make thrifting a. challenge, but also a necessity! We are planning to do a series of thrifted room tours showing how we use and style our thrifted finds. Stay tuned! LOL. Take care! I have a gorgeous white with dainty blue flowers tea set that was used 67 years ago at my christening. It's bone china and so delicate. I have pieces of that on display in my kitchen. I agree with the others that you have very reasonable prices where you live. I live in Michigan and I could never get these items at the prices you paid. I love tea items too. Pretty floral vintage English tea c/s, plates, tea pots and etc. I will do a Valentine tea this week for some neighbor ladies and use my pink and some red items. Using pieces with roses,although I guess Februarys flower is violets. Have you used Wrights silver cream to polish your silver? It does a great job.

Thank you! I thrift at the Moncks Corner and Summerville Goodwills as well as the Dorchester and North Charleston one. It is hit or miss, but if you go regularly you have the best chance of finding treasures!
