Just bought a 2022 Goldwing Tour DCT, and was in the process of installing the Honda lower air deflectors. I remember snipping a tab off those panels when I had my 2018, but couldn’t remember which tab it was. I’m glad I remembered this video!!!

Lol. Just pulled and replaced these radiator shrouds earlier today. Kind of wish I would of saw this video earlier. Lol. Either way, screwed with them for a bit and they eventually snapped out of and into place. I did see the video on side panel removal which helped immensely. 😊

Just watching some of your other videos on the wing which are all very informative and helpful btw. Thank you! On this little piece, I’ve found that by also spraying the edges of this piece and body with aresol glass cleaner helps to lubricate the plastic, enabling it to snap in much easier and without added risk of scratching up the plastic.

We use spray bike polish or a very light touch of grease so it stays slippery going forward.

Max, I love my 2018 GoldWing Tour but after owning a 2005 Goldwing I find that the body outer components are a pain in the ass on the new bike.

No matter what you want to do, it's hard to do on a gold wing.

Especially if you don't work on it for a living!

Have you tried using plastic trim and moulding lever sets to remove and replace the panels

I haven't. A $1 bicycle tire lever works pretty good though.

I need to replace my fuel lid. What cowling pieces to I need to remove to get to the hinge of the lid? Is there one of your videos that would be the most helpful? Thanks

You have to remove the entire shelter assembly to do that.
I would have to look through my videos on that... I don't know if I have one dedicated to that, but I am sure the content is there.

Max,with that piece off ,would that allow a volt meter to be installed above the parking brake handle?

    • @Traxxion

      Quite possibly, I'm almost certain.

Where did the carbon fiber lowers come from? The piece that houses the fog lights!

They were "dipped". It's a process that can put any print on odd shaped plastics.

Would this allow adjustment to the parking brake? Seems like that’s been an issue.
