Jordan, the musician Phil Collins has a museum near the Alamo dedicated to the mission and the battle. He actually has the largest collection of Alamo material in the world, by the way.
It's very cool to hear people talk about the experience they're having while they experience it. I've come to enjoy Jordan's vlogs and I found them over a year ago with the 1st couple I got to watch were his honoring and remembering Kurt Cobain! If you enjoy travel blogs that have the person on road trips you should check out Jacob the Carpetbagger. He loves going to these quirky types of places and I really enjoy getting to see them!!
The big monument to all who died at the Alamo, is placed at the spot where there was a funeral pyre to get rid of all the bodies......... all the men who died there were heroes...... I got to take the tour, and it is a sacred place......... you can feel it.
Omg I live practically in Leon Valley. There’s a haunted landmark over on Bandera Road called the Huebner onion house and you should look it up it’s got the craziest story to it it used to be a stage coach stop and the owner drank some kerosene he thought it was whiskey and he died right there on the floor by the front door dropped dead
This was fun!! You were so close to my neighborhood in San Antonio. I love all the little stops along the way too. And Jah in front of the Alamo was too cute!!
When you said Comfort, TX I thought maybe Scott suggested it. He is more my age and I thought perhaps it was to pay respects to the victims of the 1987 flood. There was nationwide news coverage. You can see some of it on RUclips. The teens that passed away that day, had been attending the Pot of Gold church camp. I’m from Fort Worth and had visited that camp the summer before. Our church choose to visit a different church camp that summer. I’ve not traveled across country but my family is taking a road trip to Tennessee this fall. I just this week booked a stay at the Elvis Presley Lauderdale Courts apartment. I’ve not stayed at the Waco Fadal house yet, but plan on it. And may God bless you and Jah in your new house. I love the layout. And the pool/backyard. Very tranquil. Enjoy! 🏡❤️
From Stonehenge II to Armadillo to San Antonio, you showed us some very cool stuff, Jordan and Scott. Jah looked as though he was having fun, too. Like you, I realized (as an adult) how brilliantly funny Mike Nesmith was. His comic timing was impeccable! Thanks for sharing Day 4 with us!
Stonehenge 2 is very impressive & definitely doesn't take itself to seriously. Fascinating to see The Alamo & the 🐖stand was super cool as was The Diner. Happy Hunting !
In 1978 when I had a day pass from USAF basic training at Lackland AFB, most of the area around the Alamo was bars, strip joints, and other tourist trap shops. Only other thing worth going there for was the river walk.
This was a very information video, thanks for sharing and it's great to see all things that you saw on the way to your you place. Oh Mr. Jah how he loves you. We always love seeing your both
Love the History of the Alamo, as a kid I had the guys equivalent of the Barbie House. A giant plastic fold out Alamo Fort. The soldiers, cannons, horses, trees, etc. Waged war at the Alamo dailey. Saw the original Alamo movie as a kid with John Wayne, Richard Widmark, loved this movie. When the later version of the Alamo was made staring Billy Bob Thorton I said no way I'm going to see this there is no it could stand up to the original. Years later I finally watched it and I think I like it better.
Love this channel. So glad you are so respectful, complimentary of every state, city you visit always looking at positive never being rude. We just love that about you Jordan!! 😊
Glad you found our beloved Texas, we left the light on for ya! LOL. When I saw you were going down to the Alamo area, I thought about the Ripley's museum and how you'd love that place. Also, if you ever get back in the SW area of Texas, you have to check out Lukenbach and Fredricksburg. Right beside Lukenbach there used to be Armadillo races held every Sunday, and of course, 'everybody will know your name' in Luckenbach...and there's a incredible museum in Fredricksburg, the Nimitz museum....anyway, hope you enjoyed your stay. Ya'll come back now, ya hear?! LOL We'll leave the lights on for ya and make ya some sweet ice tea. :-)
Next time you visit San Antonio, you might want to make a stop at the San Fernando Cathedral. It's a few blocks away from the Alamo. Three of our heroes' remains are buried there, entombed near the entrance. Thanks for all your great videos.
I've only gone to Dallas and that was wild. I've never seen so much traffic in my life. Great video and definitely can't wait for the Alamo video later!
Be glad you didn’t go to Houston... Traffic is 2 times worse! Dallas is bad too! I live in Fort Worth, west of Dallas, beautiful city... lots of fun and real laid back!

The British Rock journalist Allan Jones was with Ozzy when the incident at the Alamo happened and he writes about it in his book ‘Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down’ along with other amusing tales. I read it a few years ago and really enjoyed it!

Thank you for a wonderful road trip! You are showing great land marks and places like hidden gems I would never have the opportunity to see due to my conditions. Jah sure seems like he is having a great time!
glad you had a nice time. haven't been to San Antonio in a very long time. born and raised in Austin and you mentioned Bastrop I just moved there nice town. safe driving you guys and Jah

I have lived in Texas most of my life. Been to Florida and California, and Oklahoma but always come back to Texas. There is a lot to see in Texas. Do come back.
Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle! Lol Another great vlog Jordan. Texas is a loooong state to get through. But you made it fun! Never knew about Mike. Love going on the roadtrip with you, Jah and Scott!!
I live just a short distance from this attraction. I would recommend you travel up to Fredericksburg as it’s only a 25-30 minute drive. Fredericksburg is the birthplace of Admiral Nimitz and there’s a spectacular museum. They also do live WWII re-enactments of battle skid. Also, Lucenbach is just a short drive and they have some great musicians who play at the “Pickers Circle”. There are other places of interest, but you can check it out online. There are 100’s of B&B, and wine, beer and whiskey manufacturers as well!
Thank you for doing a small tour video of San Antonio! My hometown! Would have loved to meet you in person! Keep doing your tour videos...their awesome!
The only time I have ever been to the Alamo, I was moving/driving from Oregon to Florida. We stopped to see the Alamo, and I couldn't get near it because we had my dog with us!!! I felt your disappointment 😃😃
Hi Jordan, Scott & Jah, still beautiful and scenic even in the rain. Funny seeing a complete Stonehenge rather than the usual one we see. What a lovely name for a town 'Comfort', and barely a soul about, and so peaceful. Nice to see Jah soaking up all this history of the Alamo. Great vlog Jordan.
Interesting as always. The Alamo isn't as big as I thought it was. I'm looking forward to when you get a chance to go inside. Jah - he loves you just as much as you love him! He knows you spoil him. lol
There's another Stonehenge recreation in Natural Bridge, Virginia, called "Foamhenge." It's a complete re-creation of Stonhenge only in "foam!" It's the same size as the original Stonehenge!! Maybe you can do a vlog on it. My favorite Monkee was Micky Dolenz. I knew Mike Nesmith's Mom invented "Wite-Out" & Mike took over the company. But I didn't know he has a street named for him! The Alamo was really cool, too!! Another great vlog, Jordan!! And Jah is the cutest, sweetest doggie (next to my two Maltese pups!)! Great job, Jordan!! 😊❤✌
It is no longer in natural bridge.... They relocated in in 2017 Because natural bridge became a state park... It was fixed up and with the help of an astrologer it was relocated to COXS FARMS in northern Virginia...

That was a cool vlog of your road trip. The last time I was in Texas was when I took a Grey Hound home from San Diego, California getting discharged from the Navy. I did not get to see much of Texas even though I rode through there. Jah looks like he was enjoying himself on the trip.

Nesmith would have done his basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio; ironic that he's actually from that area as he would've been essentially "locked down" for six weeks (barring extenuating circumstances).
Jordan please come to NORTHERN Virginia.... I can take you to see so many things... I'm in Winchester so I can show you ALL THINGS PATSY CLINE... she was born and raised and discovered HERE... also her final resting spot is here ...she is buried beside my grandfather...also about 40 mins up the road is a farm called COX FARM... And they have a Stonehenge replica too... It's called FOAMHENGE... Virginia has soooo many road side attractions... I would love to show you around
Having visited the original Stonehenge you can buy special passes that get you inside before the open time to the public. When I was stationed in the UK I was able to get some of those special passes and take pictures inside the circle of the original Stonehenge.
So weird to see you driving around my neck of the woods! I grew up and still live in the San Antonio area. I feel like you could make a whole vlog just about the inside of Buc-ee's lol!
Too bad you couldn't go see "Alamo II" in Bracketville, Texas. That's where John Wayne filmed his movie of the famous battle. It's closed now. I was in basic training in San Antonio at the Air Force base there, and at the Medina base where they have the K-9 school, and officers training. They have a pretty cool airplane museum you ought to go see. Enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!
I would have loved being your tour guide through Texas!!!! I wish y’all had time and could get a room in Marta to see theMarfa Lights. San Antonio is a beautiful city, the people are so friendly and so much to see and do!!!! One of my favorite visits is between San Antonio and Houston. It is about a 45 mile trail to follow. Google PBS Painted Churches of Texas, probably 10 different churches all are well over 100 years old and still working churches. Especially around March or April when the the bluebonnets are in bloom. One of the little towns is Shulanberg (misspelled ). This is where Shiner beer is made. I was raised in a small town in the Texas Panhandle about 10 miles from the Oklahoma boarder, on Route 66, home to the U Drop in . I now live in Fort Wort, Tx. I would love to host y’all all over Texas! Fun would be had b6 all... I just love Jaw... he and my puppy Sadie would have a big time! Enjoying the trip!

I have never seen the Alamo! Wow what a fun vlog! so many little goodies!
Two friends and myself rode 100cc motorcycles from San Angelo Texas to Comfort when we were 14... Big mistake 😂
Man you gotta come back to visit!!!!
I’m Loving It Every Minuet Of It
So good to see u travelling thru my homestate and hometown of San Antonio! Lots of cool things along IH 10 to see! Travel Safe guys!
Jah is hilarious what an interesting vlog thank you jordan
Keep your vloggs comming.... Love y'all- from freeport texas
You should head on up to Historic Old Washington, AR where the first Bowie knife was made.
