I have a V3 PRO but wanted to buy a V4 but I've been waiting for this exact review since the V4 first launched. Thank you so much for this video, I have definitely changed my mind about them and will keep my V3 PRO
i just bought v3 pro , returned my g pro x2 !! the sound quality is sooo much better on kraken, ive just tried 5 headset this week and this one is definetly winner!! if you love high quality audio that does also goes perfect with 3d sound! this is it!
So here's why I'm not upgrading from my V3 Pro. The haptic feedback. I use mine while I watch 3D blu-rays, and it really makes it feel like a true theater experience. I have absolutely no desire to buy the 4's now. Thanks MercuryTV Guy, you saved me $200 :D
Was just watching and saw you respond to a comment saying you were going to make this video. Hope you know there are people who appreciate the work you do. U DA BEST ‼️❗️
I have the V2, and they are still great, but the issue is that it's not compatible with Synapse 3, and Synapse 2 looks so old and does not have much to customize stuff in. Thanks for the video, i wanted to see the differences between the upgrades.
got the v4 wireless but man, it really piss me off that everytime the voice part kicks in bass goes lower and vice versa. Anyone knows how can i fix this? I want bass and voice in music to be equal
I've used sennheiser game zero for years. I recently bought a new pair of H6pros and really like them, but decided I want to go wireless. I found the Audeze Maxwell's on sale and was hoping you had a review but was surprised you have never reviewed them. Have you ever tried them?
far as I understand, they are great for music and singplayer games but don't image as much for stuff like footsteps or positional audio compared to stealth pros or vzr model ones IDK I liked the look of the stealth pros so I got them. Bro coming from old astro a50's hands down these stealth pros are as clear as the razer blacksharks with a little less bass than the astros. I will stear clear from anything astro from now on... unless they fix their shit.
I have not yet. They're definitely on my list to check out, but for now I am going to move on to the ROG Delta II's next. Then I think I will get the Sennheiser HD 490 Pros just to get back to open back heaven for a bit.
I have the v3pro and I love it. I know everyone has different opinions but I remember the first time I got on discord everyone was asking what headset am I using and we now all use the v3pro for gaming. By far my favorite and I’m rocking them until otherwise. Personally I don’t like the rotating feature
Any recommendation to buy a headset? I can’t decide what to buy. I’ve seen your headset videos but I think you like pro x 2 the most except for the mic.I just want the best audio quality and I think that would be a good choice. Any microphone recommendations too so my friends don’t hate me on discord? Thanks for sharing your videos.
Just picked up the ROG Delta II today. Very impressed. Going to make a video tomorrow probably but they are getting an easy recommendation from me. Love them so far. Amazing audio quality, great mic quality (but I still want to see what my friends say), Bluetooth + in-game audio at the same time. My only "con" is no game/chat mixer but I will live. As for my standard top 3 recommendations: A50X ($380, great features, great audio, great mic), Cloud III ($120, solid audio quality, good mic if you set it to 32k, no features), PC38x (wired open back, amazing audio, amazing mic).
@@MercuryTV sounds really good. I’ll wait for tomorrow’s video. In a scale from 1 to 10 so I can understand (not so good at English lol). 10/10 audio on a headset would be pc38x then? Thanks :D
HAPTIC FEEDBACK OFF! Razer Nari Ultimates, thought it was cool at first, but then NAAHHHH not for me. OLD SKOOL gamers FTW, well said. Keep it gaming bro!
@@MercuryTVI understand that, they are very expensive, anyway thanks for the answer. I am subscribing for future information, I really like your channel. 🙏
For me personally I went with the v3 pro, me personally I don't like the haptic feedback on the ear cups. Also I usually use the head jack with mine unless my wife has them then she uses the dongle. I love mine other than the haptic.
i got both and the v3 pros are miles ahead on comfort and sound, the mic is also better. the bluetooth is nice and the baterry but 40mm vs 50mm no question the v3s are better i had the wired and wireless
Ranting on about the haptic feedback of the V3 Pro was hilarious... Though in all honesty, the haptic feedback of the Razer Nari Ultimate was by far the best. With the Kraken's, I don't know what the hell they did with it, but without a doubt... They butchered the haptics.
Thanks! Audeze Maxwell being too clampy and uncomfortable for me is the worst thing ever since I am looking for other headphones. Most lack any sub bass so razer is a bit interesting in this regard.
V3 Pro and V4 standard have the same price V4 Pro is twice the price of V3 Pro/V4 Standard Your reason for not liking the Haptics is fair. I don't play competitive games anymore but I get what you're saying. Though I tried it before and it's very fun to use. Specifically for casual / single player games. I just want the haptics man.. Why do I have to pay twice for a product that's already plenty expensive?
Fair points. Like I mentioned in the video it was really only realizing that even people in discord that could make it go off that ruined it for me. V4 is outrageously priced. I want to get it just to see how they came up with 400.
I’ve been having some trouble finding headphones for now, not an audiophile or audio expert, just choose wtv makes me feel better, I picked up the v3 pro and (personal opinion) I loved the haptic feedback bc it reminds of when I go to the movies and you feel the shake but unfortunately the mic was too low for me even after tweaking the settings, and it kinda looked goofy on my head. I ended up returning and got the v4 but I don’t think it was as loud in the bass areas (my first headset was a man o war and I really liked the bass shake from 50mm drivers). Now I got the astro 50x and the sound is really good but I’m concerned with the price and how it will last along the years when it comes to battery life. I’m in doubt of whether I should wait for the v4 pros or stick with the astro bc i don’t really know when they’ll get announced and expect it to be around next year. This is kinda long but I wanted to hear your thoughts, I watched your reviews on both of them and they were really good but I’m still in doubt
It all depends on what your main drivers are for your gaming headset. For me, I want it to have (in this order) 1. great audio for the games themselves, 2. a great microphone since I'm in Discord most nights, 3. Bluetooth connectivity so I can mess around on my phone while we're in a lobby or take calls without having to take the headphones off 4. a game/chat mixer. For ME, the A50X has all of those, it just costs a lot and isn't as adjustable as I would like. If you have the money, and you aren't concerned with the price tag, I would 100000000000% keep the A50X over the Kraken V4's. I can't think of one thing the V4's have or do better than the A50x besides RGB...
Razer kraken v4 pro wireless i bought mine at best buy there awesome I play it on my ps5 pro there expensive but you get what you pay for that's the world we live in every things expensive save your money and try them you can always return them stay safe and happy gaming to all
bc most people don't buy it for the mics since they already have standalone mics on their setups. I assume the only ones that care about it still are the console players
There's such a big divide in the headphone market between the high end ugly-looking XLR audiophile headphones and the gamer kid's birthday present headsets. The Razer stuff falls into the latter category, and honestly the sound quality of the more expensive Razer headphones isn't better enough to justify the price IMO. I'd just stick with the cheapest Razer headsets until you fully nerd out and acend to the high end audio stuff. Also thanks for the steam games at the end! I got Citizen Sleeper but left the other 3 👍
Might have to steal that line: "gamer kid's birthday present headsets." I will say, I had hoped by now gaming headsets would be closer to the audiophile world than they are. The Sennheiser Game One's came out in 2014 or so. 10 years later and Sennheiser doesn't even make gaming headsets anymore. The newest open back gaming headset was made by Turtle Beach... It's honestly a shame.
Now I always wanted to try Razer blackshark v2 pros, and they are definately worth 100 bucks with their microphone and not tooooo heavy bass. Coming from the Astro a50's, these headsets for sound are literally so annoying from the bass, that you cannot EQ out, that ever since I got the blacksharks (which, are very bass light) it changed my perception very heavily. The blacksharks make for a really good and simple FPS headset, audio imaging isnt the best but its still kind of there, they are lightweight and of course that mic (plus I think they look cool) These titanium drivers are almost extremely crisp in the mids and highs. No secrets, its as advertised. fact is I wish I had them sooner I bought the stealth pros right after the black sharks for fun to see how they would be, looked like a premium headset in my style, colors etc yeah for the most part they are, its like astros and blacksharks in one for quality, however they are heavy AF and their mic would make you want more. Th audio imaging is amazing, directional sound is what I was after. But now, once the stealth pros hurt my head too much I just switch to the blacksharks at this point. Astro always was the most comfortable, but don't hug like other headsets which is good and bad, depending on if you go into your garage to have a chat wirelessly etc. For the stealth pros, The EQ they have is great though, and the leather that exists is nice and I guess a lot of those 300ish headphones have the pleather. The pleather slides around/shifts almost like a gelly fat mass around your ears when you move too fast. Kinda weird, I will be getting the wicked cushions for my headsets and continue to test them. Definately, wouldn't get the expensive ones for kids that wouldn't need/respect them etc. Razer always struck me as cheap, but I mean they have upped their quality it 10 years for what it is. given inflation, a 150 dollar headset really is kinda 80 bucks from 10 years ago I bet.
@MercuryTV looks like simultaneous bluetooth, TRIFORCE BIO-CELLULOSE 40 MM DRIVERS, instead of the the titanium triforce, haptic feedback, still doesn't equal $400. Dela 2 probably sounds way better and it's 70 grams less!
No the razer kraken v4 pro wireless are awesome there crystal clear and have a ton of features bought mine at best buy there pricey but you get what you pay for there like the rollsroyce of gaming there luxury i use them on my ps5 pro stay safe and happy gaming to all

@DarkWestern this is what's drawing me to the v4s
I like the way you review headsets. Straight to the point!
Love the completely real takes you have, I'm def sticking around your channel, lol.
The microphone on the V4 is miles ahead of the V3 pro, although not as good as the blackshark's

Abslolutely amazing review man, keep it up
The mic on my blackshark v2 hyperspeed is definitely a step up from these kraken headsets. Very happy with the mic and sound quality overall
But they look like shit, wish the kraken's had the same mic quality.
Great review, thank you.

Surely should be in game settings

turn off bass boost and use the equalizer to add bass

They just released the V4 Pro with 40mm as well. What a weird decision.
Oh my God and they're FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. Cue Hall and Oates "Out of Touch."
@@MercuryTV please buy the headset n review it, also please take some closer shots of the fucking headset in the next video :-)

Hi mate. Recently, a new product has been released again, which is the Razer Kraken V4 PRO! Could you make a video showing V3 PRO vs V4 PRO please?
