Thank you so much for such a detailed review. I was seriously considering this a minute ago and I'm glad I stumbled on your video. I wouldn't wanna get this especially considering that electronics cost way more here than the US due to shippment, customs and whatnot.
Hey bud, you should do a tier list on headphones you tested so far. Pretty new to your channel yet I'm already pronto to purchase the one you give S tier.
I really like this headset and I was using Truthear Zero Red and a Thieaudio Ghost before. I just wanted a long-lasting Wireless with THX and EQ controls and I actually like the sound quality. I used to like the Carcharias headset but Razer quit making those and worked on Kraken in its place. Gotta say though, I like the wireless and I wasn't expecting it to be this enjoyable to use for immersive gaming. Too bad the mic doesn't live up to expectations but so long as the rest of the headset is enjoyable, could always get an actual microphone to main.
I have both SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (latest version) and Astro A50X. One day I built a new PC for my dad and I had to choose which one to give away for him to use. I really love both but the SteelSeries has the ANC and is just more comfortable. I'm not a really big fan of the cloth mesh fabric and prefer the leather/leatherette material. Also, I really appreciate the dual Bluetooth and 2.4ghz playing simultaneously feature where I can listen to my PC audio (You tube or whatever) and also listen to whatever is playing on my phone at the same time; The volume for my PC is adjusted through the headset or dongle and the volume for the phone is on it's rocker buttons. Amazing! If these guys can do it, Razer can do it. I have narrowed my purchases from Razer to just their mice. They make one of the lightest mice on the market, such as the Viper V2 and V3 Pro. Once other companies catch up then I'll be happy to remove their Razer Synapse software from my system. I'm just waiting for Asus to release their 47g Mouse here in Canada and then I'll hang up my Razer V2 and V3 Pro mice.
Hi Matt thank you for all your content it’s excellent 👌🏻 Can I ask a question I’m considering 2 headsets Kraken v4 Pro or the Steel series Arctis Nova Pro in your opinion for best sound quality I don’t play a lot of games I’m only playing COD, Greyzone and PUBG at the moment thanks for your opinion 👌🏻sorry both are wireless 👍🏻
Unfortunately I have not tried out either of those Pro headsets. I'm very curious if anyone else finds the 400 dollar price tag on the Kraken V4 Pro to be insane vs what you get but we will see.
Im looking for something in the 100€ price range (im from germany) and ive seen a lot of people say, that IEMs are the better choice now. I would like to game (fps shooters with footsteps), but also listen to music with the new headset/headphones/whatever. Can you recommend any for this price range? Maybe with and without mic. Ty and greetings from germany
The nova 5x is about 120 and I think it offers more. You need to do a space marine 2 review. It's fantastic. I'm 42 and been waiting over a decade for a sequel. Great review
When I use the headset on PS5, my friends say that there is a repetition of the sound when they talk. Is there a solution for the Razer Kraken V4 headset?
Definitely dropped the ball for sure. Had a solid opportunity to be a lower cost option to something like the A50 X but that sure as shit ain’t happening.
The swap between the two connections totally kills this headset for me. I don't really need an upgrade, I currently have Arctis 7 and Pros, but was interested in these, this feature, at that price, seems like it should be something automatically included.
Yo man, ive watched your videos because you´re comparing the ones i had in my choice. But im still thinking about headphones (overear)without a mic, for gaming/working(office)/ and music. I comparing Logitech 535 , Logitech G Pro X (sale rn for 139€ instead of 229€) , HyperX Cloud III , Razer Blackshark V2, Steelseries Arctis Nova 7. As you can see my pricerange is around 100 to 150€. The point is, Im looking for an wireless allrounder. It doesnt have to be a real "gaming headset" cause i got a single mic. I want it to look clean for office, but also be good in sound for Singleplayergames and Music. Once in a year im playing shooters but i think its fine if the fps surround is on second point. Not sure if you compared headphones without mics with gaming headsets. Maybe you have an opinion. Realy like the real opinion of yours , keep it up ! Thanks
I use this little Sony lav mic plugged into the DJI wireless mic/reciever. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YJQXJRM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I like it a lot as well, voice sounds pretty natural. Just have to be careful how it's positioned and where I turn my head.
If you want true bluetooth and wireless 2.4GHz integration... Just buy the JBL Quantum 910. Also, it's audio is FAR superior than the Kraken V4 for not much more in price. In fact, they're pretty much priced the same at 200, since the 910's are constantly on sale from their otherwise retail price of 300.
Haven’t tried the Arctis Nova Pro, sorry man. But I honestly think there’s plenty of better headsets. Nova Pro is pretty expensive if I remember correctly. If you’re in the 200-300 price range the Asus ROG Delta II is pretty solid, so is the new Astro A50 in terms of audio quality and features.
Arctis nova pro wireless beats the kraken v4 by a mile both in sound quality and mic quality.I bought the kraken v4 and ended up sending them back as the audio quality was just awful.
If its working for you and you don't hate it, I wouldn't return it. I had issues with the Bluetooth and Game/chat functionality, but if you're happy with them I'd stick with it. As for a good EQ, I would definitely turn THX off, just use Stereo, and then set it on the "Music" preset and see how you like that.
Hi, could you please recommend me a headset with the best audio quality please.I just want to play history mode games and listen to music too. I don’t care about the mic just audio. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks 😀
Hi, i think worst bluetooth integration have "Astos A50" because is implemented in that "object" not in headset so is useless Outside of home or range of "object". So kraken have better solution that Asotros because i can use headset with phone wherever i like on bridge, in forest, in bus until phone and headset have power to listening music or call phones. So i think you may miss the intended purpose of technology bluetooth in headphones. simultaneously Bluetooth can be worthless for many people in practice.
Delta II by a country mile in my opinion. Simultaneous Bluetooth and in-game audio. Mic is perfect. Audio quality is top tier. My ONLY gripe is that it takes a little getting used to the comfort because the top headband is super thin on the padding. But once you move past that, its a perfect headset. No game/chat mixer, fair price for the quality you're getting IMO.
@@MercuryTV Thanks for your patient reply, I will adopt your suggestions. As a previous consumer of ROG Azoth Extreme and Chakram X, my only concern is whether there will be signal interference issues between multiple wireless devices. Anyway,I‘ll buy delta II . Let's see. I really like your current style and look forward to your subsequent creations!
So far no issues, and I have a shitload of 2.4 GHz devices nearby. Smart lights, like 4 other headsets, 2 wireless mice, on and on. My router is 5 feet away. Not a hint of a connection or interference problem.
I’m a huge razer fan, but this seems like a big disappointment. I’ll stick with the v3’s for as long as I can despite that they’re getting a bit old and the mute button doesn’t work.
I think its only a disappointment when you factor in price + microphone quality. The audio, comfort, and feature set would fit great for a headset in that "$150 MSRP/ $120 on sale" category. $180 is just a bit much in my book - but I've definitely been on a price rant lately with everything I've been reviewing.
I wanted this headset because I had the v2 when I was younger. But almost $200 for a mic that’s worse than my current(at the time $60 bucks) headset??? Nostalgias overrated
Definitely starting to wonder if I'm being unreasonable, but I don't see why this thing couldn't have just copied the features of the Arctis Nova 7. I would have recommended it - even with the below average mic - if it had gotten those right.

When I use the headset on PS5, my friends say that there is a repetition of the sound when they talk. Is there a solution for the Razer Kraken V4 headset?
Thanks for the review, i already have an AT2020 for mic so i just wanted this as an upgrade for my 2016 Kraken in terms of audio
This is so bad especially for the asking price and the competition out there. Razer should be ashamed.
Definitely dropped the ball for sure. Had a solid opportunity to be a lower cost option to something like the A50 X but that sure as shit ain’t happening.

日本語でごめんなさいm(_ _;)m Thanks for the review!

Audeze Maxwell, if you can stomach the price
Is kraken v3 pro better than this?
Funny enough I just got a used pair of Kraken V3 Pros delivered to test that exact question out. Expect a video comparison soon.
Can I use this for the PS five and can I use it with the dock for voice chat?
Which better bro razer v2 hyperspeed or steelseries artics nova 5?

They do it for sales plain and simple. One release has a great mic and the next has a shit one. It doesn't make sense.
@@MercuryTV In their blurb about this headset on their website they state it has the same mic as the Blackshark V2 pro 2023. It does in it's fuck.
Little late to the party. They just made the pro
I disagree. The sound quality is not very good at all. The steel series is much better.
Thanks, you swayed me out buying it. Such an expensive headset with such a crappy mic, pass.
