Dude, you're like God-sent. I've been looking at all four headsets for 48 hours, trying to decide which one to buy next. nothing else than those 4 headsets, and just by some miracle, you chose to bring them into your video without mentioning it in the title😆. Despite my disagreement with the Cloud 3 headsets, I purchased them as a replacement for my Logitech Pro X headphones. Even after I updated HyperX, the audio felt like I had dropped to a 10-dollar headset, so I was debating whether to keep it or refund it and buy one of the other 3 headsets. Thank you. However, it appears that I will be opting for the Pro X 2 since I have an external mic, and the Nova's sound quality is not up to par based on your opinion.
The Nova 7, yeah. No idea if the Nova Pro is better in relation. Let me know how you like the audio from the Pro X 2 when you get them, curious if people agree on the quality there.
awesome comparison. some people say the cloud 3s have some issues with tracking foot steps and the overall surround sound is a bit mushy looking forward to see you compare the sound quality in detail in games like cs and pubg ♥
Cloud 3 wired has low bass and high treble, but a nearly perfect microphone. I wouldn't recommend it. Gaming headsets have boosted treble but the Cloud 3 wired takes it way too far. That's my opinion from having it. Didn't sound mushy, sounded so clear (treble) it hurts your ears, you have to lower the volume.
Yeah sorry I hope I wasn’t implying in my video the Cloud IIIs are on par with the Pro X 2 in terms of audio quality. They aren’t. They just do the audio/comfort/mic trifecta well, whereas the Pro X 2 really falls short in one category that ruins the other 2 for me. In my book, there are cheaper headsets than the Cloud III, there are better headsets than the Cloud III, but you’d be hard pressed to find a better, more affordable headset for the majority of gamers out there.
Love the video, very straightforward and honest comparison. These two headsets are at the same price currently on Logitech's website so I'm debating on which to get. I've been seeing mixed reviews all over the internet between these two however this video answered all my questions thanks
Going to switch from razer blackshark v2 pro (2023) to the logitech pro x 2. The mic on the blackshark was amazing, the sound was pretty good, but the build quality sadly left me with a broken piece of plastic that connects the cup and the headband, really common problem it seems. The clamping power was a little bit too much for my 'gargantuan' head as well😅. The only big downside to the logitech pro x 2 looks to be the mic, which actually does not matter to me as I specifically am looking for headsets with detachable mics. I only use it for pc and use a nice samson g track pro mic instead.
If you arent returning the Blackshark headset then the mic will actually fit into the Logitech Headset and it sounds a little better. You do have to shave a little of the plastic off to get it to set right but might be worth it.
speaking from someone with a massive head.. the A50x actually fits firm and comfortably! I had the razer blackshark v2 pro plus... Both are fantastic headsets.. the blacksharks have an amazing mic and sound good and have amazing noise cancelling! But!!!! the sound quality and the straight up mic quality out of the astros makes them worth that huge price point! have had it for a little already and it was worth every penny!
I will say, having used the A50X a lot more since this video, they’ve broken in pretty nicely. Still get a little uncomfortable after long periods of time but I can live with it because of the features and like you said the mic+audio quality. Appreciate the view and comment bud.
I have the cloud 3 wireless and switched to G pro x 2 so the sound quality was very good on x2 and boomy bass ,, i never tried the mic yet cause i play solo games
not sure why sooo many people doing reviews on blue voice miss it? on the Pro X 2 mic, if you go the mic, activate blue voice, goto signal cleanup, there are SOOO MANY OPTIONS to make your voice sound better, and yet you just past it up?? as a reviewer, I would suggest clicking on items to see what they do! you have compressor, noise gate, noise reduction, de-essor and the like that you just completely missed! that being said, I think a stand alone mic is WAY better, but blue voice does offer soooo much more then what you showed on this video! I used it for my first 1.5 years live streaming till I made enough to go "pro" on my microphone :) :)
I've played around with every setting in that software, and while some certain combinations make it PASSABLE it's still generally awful in my opinion. I have no stats to back this up, but I am willing to bet the vast majority of purchasers will use this microphone in it's default state, which is what I've presented. There is no excuse for it to sound as whack as it does, especially when they were able to make the mic on the A50X sound that good, with no goofy tweaking required.
@MercuryTV I do agree that the a50 is ALOT better sounding, but on the video, the hyperx sounded like the g pro x, at least it sounded that way on the video
Wbats even worse about the Pro X2 microphone qualiry is that Logitech acquired Blue who makes good microphones. Why the hell haven't they used them fo make their own built in microphone better. The A50X will defend its high cost due to the base station basically being a 4k 120hz splitter. I honestly think they should have just released console/pc specific models that use a usb dongle. They are a expensive niche item. Hell they dont even include the two HDMI 2.1 cables required forcsetupon just one consosle. Granted most people have them laying around but at close to $400 they should be included. The Audeze Maxwell are cheaper and soind better. xbox version wprks on everything. No need to buy the A50X
Hi, would you say 200 USD is a "good" Price for the Logitech Pro X 2? Its actuell about 180 Euros in my Country. I have a Logitech Setup and like my "all for one" Software :P
I think the Pro X 2 is one of the best sounding closed back gaming headsets out there; a little difficult to compare to open-backs like the PC38x - but I have always preferred the soundstage and imaging of open back headphones to closed back. You’d really have to try them both and decide for yourself, but once you go open-back it’s hard to go back. I’ll gladly recommend the PC38x 7 days a week 365 days a year for anyone wanting a great wired gaming headset.
I went with the Astro A50x The high price is for the connivence of having one headset for PlayStation,Xbox and PC with HDMI quality audio and maintaining features like Dolby Atmos and 3D audio . I’d say they are well worth the $380 As that’s how much you’d pay anyways for a 3 different headsets for all three systems
I been having trouble getting my pro x 2 connected to g hub. I play on console and don’t have a PC, my laptops will download g hub but it will say undetected devices when i connect the usb or connect Bluetooth to laptop. Any advice ?
If money is no object, you want Bluetooth, with the game/chat mixer - A50 X If you don't care about wireless, and want open back - PC38x If you want a solid all-rounder with no bells and whistles - HyperX Cloud III Wireless Really comes down to your budget and features you HAVE to have. The two that are currently on my desk, and have been for some time, are the A50 X and PC38x. 80% of nights I'm in Discord with my friends, so the game/chat mixer, Bluetooth functionality, and mic are the biggest reason I use the A50 X. If I wasn't using that, I'd probably be using the PC38x with my old Astro A40TR MixAmp.
For sure, and it's a ridiculous added cost. In the past they had 2 variants of this headset - PS/PC and Xbox/PC. How many people NEEDED the ability to use all 3? I imagine less than half a percent of users. So Astro gets to reduce their amount of SKU's, manufacture 1 product, and charge us more for the pleasure. Smart move on their end, sucky for the consumer IMO.
Damn A50X mic sounds so nice, compared to the other 2. Now I need to listen to the headset itself. I have the wired Alienware, the mic for me is good but thie A50X killed it.

A real review thats not like other tech creators., I love it

it's might be one of the honest review ever, thanks and MTFBWY
Maybe you could take a look at the Audeze Maxwell headphones in the future. Thanks!. Great video

Great review. New sub.
Thank you, this helped a bunch no to spend money on something that is just slightly better than a Hyper X headset

Because I'm not playing competitive games so Logitech G Pro X2 is my choice All The Way❤
btw for the pro x 2 u can buy the blackshark v2 mic and attach it onto to get good audio quality with great voice quality aswell
Really? It fits well?
I have the cloud 3 wireless and switched to G pro x 2 so the sound quality was very good on x2 and boomy bass ,, i never tried the mic yet cause i play solo games
so basically what ur saying is, if you have a standalone mic already, the g pro 2 x is IT. good, ordering them.

@@barneyjack if you can't hear the difference between those 2, maybe you need a headset with better speakers lol
@dylanpayne1798 used 2 different headphones and speakers and 3 other people, so nope, don't need to lol

What’s the best ps5 headset in your opinion? I know it’s subjective but audio quality/footsteps/ mic
How do you feel if someone has a usb microphone they use for communication. Would you recommend the pro X2?

I would like a50x without a mic!
just dont use it?
I went with the Astro A50x

I’d say they are well worth the $380

I wonder what you would say is a okayish price for the a50x
If it was a simple PS/PC variant with the charging base station still, probably $250. Maybe $300 at launch because of the updated graphene drivers.
I been having trouble getting my pro x 2 connected to g hub. I play on console and don’t have a PC, my laptops will download g hub but it will say undetected devices when i connect the usb or connect Bluetooth to laptop. Any advice ?
What headset would u prefer out of all the ones you have used before?
If money is no object, you want Bluetooth, with the game/chat mixer - A50 X

Honestly haven’t tried them yet. Will have to buy a pair soon - a lot of people ask about them.
The Astro you are paying for the base station with hdmi switching

Your also paying for HDMI quality audio
If i plug a mic from a different headset with a detachable mic will it work with the x 2
This is a wonderful question I will make a video later on and test it out.
got the astro for 280, is that easier to swallow?
100%
Damn A50X mic sounds so nice, compared to the other 2. Now I need to listen to the headset itself. I have the wired Alienware, the mic for me is good but thie A50X killed it.
yoo, have u tested sony inzone headsets already ? im curious if h5 is comparable with cloud iii wireless
No sir, haven’t tried any Sony headsets out yet.
Maybe H9? since it has ANC.
