The place I go to locally has a guy hired for each niche thing, theres a vinyl guy and PC guy, comic guy etc. Part of their job is having a rolling dynamic pricing on trade ins of their item they manage. It seems to work well. But it makes it less so you could go in to a store and get an insane deal from the store owner not being knowledgeable about the area.

I dont think so, almost all those existing physical games are eroding very fast, the plastics they used generally werent very good and early in on the understanding of different plastics. Those things go away everyone is forced in to digital unless you openly embrace repros. I personally dont care, I like emulation a lot. Im more a physical guy when it comes to music I have a decently sized vinyl collection but the popularity of it flooded the market with bad new presses that you have to distinguish by, which matters less if you never listen to it. But they'll last longer than many of these cartridges, or discs.
