Here John is showing us an excellent side triangle. This is a triangle that is often times perceived as difficult but under Johns tutelage, it is easy. He combines his Triangle Attack here with his Kimura System.

Love it! Thank you. Why would you get up like that when you are in kimura trap? You should be escaping your shoulder with something like a babybridge/outside shoulder escape or an inside shoulder escape.

@@WhtMike2006 I think it's a body type thing. I showed it to one of my training partners the other day and he could immediately choke me with it even when I gave 100% resistance... I didn't even explain the details of the choke he could just do it.
Meanwhile I'm still struggling with it. Probably not a great choke for me :/

I'm quite sure when you lean heavy on the right side of the opponent's body + put the pressure to the upper thigh with your right shin at 1:50, there's not a good chance for your opponent to reach for the back take.
