Hi Leslie - Love the San Juans and Bainbridge Island! We live in California near Santa Barbara, but our son and his family live on Bainbridge and we have a condo there too for someday when we can split our time. The Lamb and Kid is amazing, especially in their newer big location - also great on the island is La Mercerie! My very favorite shop used to be Churchmouse Yarns and Teas - I was so sad when they closed their brick and mortar store. We went to the San Juan’s about a year ago and loved every minute - so gorgeous!! Glad you enjoyed your trip! Lisa
I don't know where I heard it from, but I put my yarn in plastic bags in the freezer for a few days. I take them out for a day, then put the bags back in the freezer for a day or so. If the larvae survive the first freezer, the shock of warming up then freezing again will dispatch them for good. Lavender and cedar chips should keep the moths away, but it won't effect the larvae if they are already present.
Yes it works, i put a woollen scarf in freezer bag and put in freezer for a few weeks..it kills the bugs and eggs. I also place cedar balls in stash and spray with lavender oil for extra protection…plus they smell lovely.
Thanks for a lovely podcast. Today me and my sister went out to the deep woods and picking cloudberries. Now after a warm shower and cozy clothes on kitting on Grannies in a row socks, a fun and playful pattern. My man is making dinner... such a perfect day. 🥰
I was just watching one of your old podcasts and this one popped up - so thrilled! Thank you - it was wonderful to see what you've been knitting - always an inspiration! I live in AZ and we have moths outside except for the winter months, but I'm not certain they are the kind that like wool (supposedly, not all do). However, just to be sure, I store my yarn in plastic bags with lavender sachets and cedar chips. I also spray my shelves and my office with lavender essential oil spray on a regular basis - again, just in case and I've never had a problem. Fingers crossed!
My aunt lived in Bainbridge Island for nearly 70 years. I loved visiting her. Beautiful area. Love your calm nature and taste in knit patterns and yarn choices.
Earlier in the year I, too, made an overnight pilgrimage to Lamb & Kid. What a great shop (even the parking is convenient.) Both the service and the comfortable decor inside are outstanding. All the lovely house brand yarns, plus Spincycle and mYak! xxx
thank you so much for reaching out and helping me i live in canada i was ready to stop knitting i enjoy watching you and hope one day i can knit some of the things like you i have almost no sight
I have always loved brown...for me it's a foundational colour....along with camel.. what's not to love! Yours are lovely! I also love The Republic of One..lovely soul and yes so kind. Enjoy your family !
I’m so glad to spend some time knitting with you and hearing about some of your adventures (knitting and non-knitting). Welcome home! I love the brown.

Whiskey and Wool has a great podcast about moths and how she handled hers. Hopefully it's just one. Love your projects. Thanks for sharing about the cream. All the best, Kimberly
Hi Leslie, so glad you had a lovely trip. I’m casting on for my first ‘Friend to Friend’ today - excited to finally knit one. I’ve made your Butterfly Blanket multiple times and that’s a great knit. Thank you. Enjoy your family while they are home. ❤
Love, Love , Love Orcas Island. My husband try and get there every few years.. we rent a yurt near the water for a few days..it’s so relaxing. We hop back and forth to the different islands. Your vest look more of a rust on screen 😍 that color is so in my wheel house.
So happy to catch up with your knitting and your adventures! I am loving the yarn from Oenling - it looks so soft and lovely. As does the yarn from Lamb and Kid!! I just wanted to let you know that the word Salish is pronounced Saylish. The name refers to the Indigenous peoples that inhabit the area. ❤
Yes! I didn't get there but would have liked to have gone... I knew Sarah in her old business so was anxious to meet in person! 💜 And that part was wonderful too! LOVE the PNW! Lucky you! xx
I made the Corran Cardigan too. I wasn’t sure that I wanted buttons so I did not add buttonholes figuring that I could do an afterthought buttonhole at a later date. I am so happy that I did not! I have worn mine so many times and I love it! Mine is made with Berroco Modern Cotton and it super soft and yummy!
You add so much inspiration and happiness to my life of knitting. I have eczema too! Awful stuff! I’d like to order the cream you like, but I’m not sure which one it is when I look on Google. I am one of the few who haven’t knitted the Ranunculus. So wordy so kind of scary but I will get to it. Yours is stunningly beautiful. Look forward to your next visit with us. ❤
Well, Julie! Aren't you just the sweetest! Thank you friend! You can make the Ranunculus! And just think how many people will be cheering you on! YOU CAN DO IT! Happy knitting ,friend! xx
It's wonderful to see how you have accepted the right color palette for you. We are all influenced by fashion, but not all of it looks great on all of us. You seem to be a "Spring" or "Summer" color person. I, on the other hand, am a true "Winter" palette and all those bright, blue toned colors are the ones that look best on me. Anything muted, brown or pastel just washes me out. I had color analysis done in the 1980's when it was a huge trend and whenever I deviated from my palette I always felt off. In fact, last weekend I wore a bright salmon colored pantsuit to a wedding shower and two different people came up to me and said that color looked amazing on me. If you get compliments that's a sure sign those colors are for you! Unfortunately, it is often difficult to find blue undertone yarns for fall/winter so I have a lot of green, red, black and pure white (not ivory or beige) sweaters, LOL.
SO fun! I had my colors done in the 80's as well. I remember them saying I was a winter but not sure that still fits my coloring! I'd love to have it done again! And you have me thinking about that salmon pantsuit! How lovely! 😍
I finished my Friend to Friend yesterday! I was at my LYS and the owner asked if she could display it until cool weather! Obviously, it was a hit! Super cute! I used Ella Rae chunky alpaca. Super soft and squishy! We are having a yarn crawl here in East TN in August, so loads of people will see it and I am sure they will want to buy your pattern!
Awe! Rebecca! Thank you so much for being a Friend to Friend! 😍🤩 Super sweet! So glad you love the pattern! I bet it is lovely in that chunky alpaca!😍💜 Happy knitting friend! xx
Love the Corran cardigan - a few years ago I made Carol Feller’s Spraoi cardigan - which is similar but has raglan shaping and plain stockinette sleeves. envious of your outing to Lamb and Kid - on my wish list!
Ohhhhh! How fun! You are going to have a ball! We were at a friends house.... so didn't rent anything for accommodations. We also cooked every night so I don't have restaurant recs either! I'm so so sorry! The downtown is darling and we did shop and go to the bakery and to the yarn shop though! 😍🤩😍 The shop at the ferry is also darling! When are you going?!
Ok. The summer wall is fantastic! Love the dish racks used for needle hanging and the seasonal yarn display! Grr moths! Hope you’re rid of them soon! Love the brown alpaca ranunculus 😍😍😍
Loved the Esmeralda.... You are one of my favorite podcasters. I mentioned this on my podcast Episode 2 :) @ The Knitty Kats Thank you for your constant inspiration.
I love your podcast!!! I’m a newish knitter and am working on my first sweater. Also my son and daughter-in-law live in Pittsburgh! They are expecting our first grandchild (girl) in September. I sooo want to be able to knit a baby sweater for her. Thanks for your inspiration! 🙂
Awe! Thank you Ivana! I just printed and read through your instructions! SO kind of you to go to all of that work! I know it was a lot of worK! That chart in itself! Big hugs friend! xx
I had a big moth infestation a few years ago. I came out of it fairly well but it was my fault kinda. I was just getting into spinning and visited an alpaca farm and they said we could take some fleece. It was off the barn floor and I didn't have the knowledge at the time to wash it. I tucked it away and forgot about it, they ate thru the plastic bag and found paradise. I vacuumed through my yarn and carpet and everything else but yes I froze all of my yarn too. But for the flying ones get the sticky traps from Amazon and keep paper towels handy to literally smash them when you see them. I almost bought a deep freezer to keep all my yarn in but they were all sold out at the time. I store most of them in zip locks and plastic containers now but I'd love to get them out in a pretty way. You won't have to do everything I did but keeping those sticky traps or cedar around isn't so bad. I didn't have much luck with the lavender. It seemed like they liked those too but I've heard different from other people.
Thank you so much for your moth knowledge! Others have used the sticky traps too! Will definitely invest in some of those! Sorry you had the same troubles. Glad you have resolved it! Happy knitting! xx
Hey Candy, it´s raining and I just started the Ihla sweater for my daughter, have a look. I want to try the Pyramid top, is it on Ravelry ? I`m doing a colourwork just like yours so I`ll keep waching to see how it looks. I love how you wear your finished knits so we see how they look, BTW you look fab in them. Thanks for posting and keep going, you`re a pleasure to watch. Lucky You living on Vancouver Island , it`s beauiful ! Take Good Care
Love the sweaters… I’m working on my first ranunculus.. such a fun pattern with great instructions and Videos.. love your chocolate brown one such a pretty brown!! Have a great week and enjoy your kids!!
Your FOs are lovely. I am so happy you're using brown colorways now. The tank looks terrific on you! I've made 2 Friend to Friends and definitely plan to make more. It's a great piece and so wearable. Thanks for the pattern, Leslie 👏🏾
All three are home!!! Oh your heart must be so full. I’m sure Libby’s cooking is fantastic because she probably learned from you. Won’t the alpaca grow a bit and sort of the weight of the sweater sort of pull it down? I can’t be sure it’s been a while since I used alpaca because it made me itch😢
Oh, yes, Kaet! I'm in heaven! And I love "helping" the boys with their apartment! 😉😍 I hope you are having the best summer with your sweet girl! Enjoy every minute... it goes fast! And yes... sweater is blocking now and I think it will be great! THANK YOU! 💜 Hugs, friend. xx
dear Leslie, I love the republic of me as well, will also make her recipe ;-) love the color combination you choose for the sweater. The friend to friend shrug looks amazing on your sister I am also a meditator you inspired me to make also one And I just made my first ranunculus with short sleeves with a blend of coton and linnen, love your long sleeves version a lot x Julia
Yay for the friend to friend keeping you cozy while you meditate! LOVE that! I can't wait to start on the In and Out Raglan! Would love to hear if you start yours! Happy knitting Julia! xx
Hello gorgeous 💕 wonderful as always. I saw Ivanas latest episode and how good is she doing all that math for her in and out raglan! What a great recipe formulation and so generous. All the kids home 💖 Mine flew away so early and doubt they’ll ever be back 🫤 nice they’re independent but the adjustment was huge. I’m loving brown, always have. Rounding up yarn now and think a friend to friend will be in that colour range. I missed a sale on hue and me so I’m going to have a yarn stash party looking for lots of strands to get gauge! Also going to do a shrug, copying your cream/peanut colours 💪🏻🤭🥰 it’s so good! I actually make my own skin care products. I had so much stress in my early 30s (married to a madman - not joking!) my skin went crazy. So did loads of research (would have loved the Internet to help!) and taught myself how to make all sorts of things. So many crazy chemicals in products and I freaked out 😬🫣🥲 I’m always making things, soap, sunscreen, deodorant you name it, everything except food! My poor husband 🤣😂 Thanks for sharing and I could listen to you weekly for an hour!! Karen 🥰😘
Oh, Karen! I wish we lived closer! We could knit, make all our skincare products and cleaning supplies! AND share brown clothes! :) Happy knitting sweet friend! xx
Have you seen the podcast “those twins who knit” they have a beautiful neutral color astetic that I think you’d love😊 Beautiful knitting as always Leslie😍
So many beautiful sweaters. I’m so happy to see you again. I too would love to go to The Lamb and Kid some day and I loved hearing from your trips this summer. 💖🧶
Always happy to see a new episode. I’m currently working on a couple of summer tees (Parasol Tee, Alpine Bloom and Dorsel Tee) because living in Ecuador there’s not a lot of opportunity for heavier weight seaters. I absolutely love your brown Ranunculus and I hope it turned out perfect for you. Hope you have a great couple of weeks. Take care.
I so enjoy your podcast and I have followed you from the start. I really like the white sweater and I might cast that on soon. I am knitting my second Axilla sweater and I highly recommend that pattern. Lots of love from Iceland 🇮🇸
Oooooh! That is such a cute sweater! I remember seeing the Axilla a while back but am so happy you pointed it out again! What a great summer and winter knit! Happy knitting, friend! xx
Lovely podcast, as usual. Based on your recommendation, I finished my Esmerelda. I made it in Holst Supersoft yarn, held double. It will probably be one of my all-time favorite sweaters (and I have knit many, many sweaters). Whatever happened to the vest pattern you mentioned some time ago, Leslie? I'm a little obsessed with vests at the moment.
YAY! I just folded my Esmeralda and told it how excited I was to wear it! 🤩 So glad we are twinning. Ohhhhh the "hello friend" vest! I DO still want to write the pattern... it's just so darn hard for me to size it. I did start though! Thanks so much for the push! xx
Hey Leslie, I use to lived in Pittsburgh (bloomfield/shady side) 30+ years; back then I used cedar chips. Eventually I had my closets lined with cedar. I live in California now and I use cedar. I also use small plastic tubs from Costco (perfect for each project) and add cedar pellets/circle to each tub. Moths are so pesty.
I love brown too!!! Your yarn choices are so pretty! I have excema on my hands also, and have used sreroid creams for over 30 yrs. I am starting to wonder if I'm allergic to wool...The cream you mentioned is sold out!!! I will have to keep trying her website.
Ohhhh darn! Yes! Keep your eye out. It is so nice not to be using my steroid cream. UGH! I hope you aren't allergic to wool! I do think soap is my problem! Especially dishwashing soap!
Hi! 💜 Are they the patterns I spoke about? Everything is linked in the description box above. Which is right below the video! Please let me know if you still have trouble! xx
It was so much fun to catch up with you, Leslie! I love your Corran cardigan and your mini mock neck tank, too! It's inspiring watching you stick with colors that you know fit in your wardrobe 😊Your ranunculus is looking beautiful! Can I ask you what is the weight of the alpaca yarn you're using for the ranunculus? The ranunculus and how it works with any yarn weight confuses me, so I'm trying to learn from other people sharing their knitted ranunculus! ☺
Hi Josie! Ooooooh! I know what you mean! It is mind boggling how that pattern works for all yarn weights! The alpaca is a worsted weight yarn. And I must say, it knit up perfectly for this pattern. I have not tried it yet with a fingering weight, however, it is on my list! Happy knitting, friend! xx
For moths, if gets hot where you are, put your yarn in the trunk of your car and let it bake in the sun all day. Probably not advisable for yarn containing nylon but for 100% wool or blends with plant based fibres, this should work. You need high temps which is why your trunk works best.
Hi Leslie, may I ask how you did the decreases on the sleeves. I showed your video of the finished Ranunculus to my daughter and she really liked it, so went back to see if you decreased, for the tapered fit. Thanks for your help.🦋🌻
Hi Sharon! I decreased 4x for a total of 8 stitches every down until the ribbing. Then I changed to us 8 needle for the twisted rib. Hope this helps!🤎😘
Use BugMD moth traps. They’re Amazing and work so well. They’re sticky and have a lure for the moths. I put them around my whole house and was surprised to catch a few I did t know I had.
Love your podcast as always! Made my first Friend to Friend and absolutely love it! Thinking of making Ivana’s sweater too: You are so inspiring thank you so much:
I do the freezer for moths too (72 hours, per google). Also, wash your garments at the end of the season ... moths are supposedly attracted to our sweat, dirt left on garments.
Yesssss! I have heard that! I do put away all of my sweaters into bins for the summer after washing. So far so good. And hopefully I can nip this before it gets out of hand! Happy knitting, friend! xx
@@LeslieFriend Additionally, apparently, I moths love the "cool & dark". I moved my sweaters to a closet that stays warmer, AND I leave the door open (sometimes) to let the light shine in. Don't know if it will help ... but I am giving it a try.
Thanks for another great episode. Beautiful sweaters. My husband and I will be in the Pittsburgh area in August. Do you have a recommendation for a local yarn store?
Hi Susanne! Already a week into august! Hope you haven't already come and gone! My local yarn shop is yarns by design in Oakmont, PA. Natalie is a doll and is super helpful! Happy traveling friend! xx
My understanding about moths is they don’t like perfume smells, or any odours, such as moths balls. I think we all hate that smell. Lavender, cedar I think work, but eventually that smell fades. I started buying Irish Spring soap, it’s cheap and I throw it in the bins and bags of yarn I have and in my drawers where I put wooly sweaters in the winter. I think it works. My husband had a lovely wool sweater, a friend made him, in his drawer. I didn’t know it was there, the moths got it good, we had to put it outside. Interesting enough, my dresser drawer is next to his and none of my sweaters got moths. I think they hate the smell of Irish Spring, I’m not crazy about the smell neither, but it’s better than moth balls or getting moths. The smell of it lasts for a long time as a bonus.
Hi Monique! I actually received it when I purchased the yarn in Berlin. Someone told me that when you go to download the pattern on Ravelry (it's free) that the English option pops up?! However, I just did it and didn't find that option. Maybe email or DM them? Sorry I can't help more! xx
I keep all of my yarn in Ziploc bags in storage containers. I hate it. I would like to be able to have it on the walls and enjoy its beauty but I know we have moths and those little silverfish bugs so I can’t.
Moths come in when you go to the grocery and purchase produce, etc. It is important to wash what you purchase to get rid of the moth eggs. If you don’t wash them off they will hatch and then the hatched moths will lay mor eggs on your yarn. It the eggs the destroy the yarn not the mature moth, because the moth does not eat the yarn. I wash off all my fruits, bananas and everything that doesn’t go in the refrigerator. Out potatoes into a pantry or cupboard and close the door on them, out into the refrigerator anything that can be refrigerated and you should be safe. But there are no guarantees, not when it comes to moths.
Hi Leslie! I’m loving brown too. My challenge is finding a dark brown mohair silk to pair with some of my brown yarn. I watched this video a few years ago ruclips.net/video/-QLh0BFr0jo/видео.html It helped to educate me and to discern facts from fiction as I think there is a lot of misinformation about moths out there. Hope this helps you too!
Hi Leslie, you are always such a delight to catch up with, as soon as I saw your vid I had to settle down with some crochet and catch up. I never considered wearing the mini mock tank like you have, to be honest the rather immodest main pic for the pattern turned me off it, but your styling has me reconsidering, it looks gorgeous on you. I love hearing that browns are coming in for Autumn this year, living in Australia we are 12 months behind in fashion, so everything you get, we get later down the line, its nice to get a preview of whats coming up for us and I am definately a brown lover. Speaking of brown, I am currently knitting a Mousseux (inspired by your beautiful Moussuex) in truffle, I will link my project page when its finished. I recently finished an Auspice shawl (a lovely 1 skien project) and some legwarmers I 'kind of' designed, I used a couple of lace patterns from my vogue knitting stitch dictionary. I have never knitted leg warmers before so I excited that it worked and had fun playing with my knitting for a change. Heres my recent little triumphs. www.ravelry.com/projects/MissusPilgrim/auspice www.ravelry.com/projects/MissusPilgrim/lacy-leaves-leg-warmers Stay safe with your travels.....hearing about your foray in to the Canadian Northwest reminding me of my roots, I was born on Saltspring Island in the Gulf Islands and spend my early childhood and a year in my teens there. Im biased, but I think few would argue the Canadian North West is a beautiful part of the world. Im looking forward to your next catch up already, take care, Mrs P
Oh Tara! What beautiful work on your latest finished objects! Love them both! Very much looking forward to seeing your Mousseux that you are about to finish! YAY! Anything in brown is YUMMY! Thank you so much for sharing bits and pieces of your life. I love to hear it! Happy knitting sweet friend! 💜💜💜

You are THE best at pairing the perfect yarn for each pattern, and your color choices are always exquisite.
That is just the sweetest thing to say. THANK YOU! But trust me, I don't always get it right! Happy knitting friend! xx

I love how you styled your Mini Mock Neck 🤎
Awe! THANK YOU! xx
Leslie your sweaters are gorgeous, as all your hand knits are. Loved your yarn & needle wall, so clever and beautiful. 🤗
I’m so glad to spend some time knitting with you and hearing about some of your adventures (knitting and non-knitting). Welcome home! I love the brown.

Always love watching you Leslie! Love Love Love the color on your mini mock!! Browns are my favorite!! Thanks for sharing! xoxo
Thank you sweet brown loving friend! xx

The other shop at Bainbridge is La Mercerie. She has wonderful yarns. Churchmouse was also there but is only on line now since Covid. I live PNW.
Yes! I didn't get there but would have liked to have gone... I knew Sarah in her old business so was anxious to meet in person! 💜 And that part was wonderful too! LOVE the PNW! Lucky you! xx
So happy to see you back! I too went to Lamb and Kid and was in heaven!
Awe You are so sweet! YES! Me toooo! Wish we were there at the same time! 🧡
So glad to hear you enjoyed our San Juan Islands! I live on San Juan island itself and feel very fortunate to call it home!
Oh, you lucky lucky girl! Just LOVED Orcas Island! Happy knitting friend!
Happy knitting ,friend! xx
Always such a pleasure to knit while watching you…
Awe! Thank you so much for watching Maureen! xx
Always a treat to knit with you and see what you've been up to!!
I bet it is lovely in that chunky alpaca!😍💜 Happy knitting friend! xx
@@LeslieFriend I tried to share a pic but it wouldn’t let me
Love the Corran cardigan - a few years ago I made Carol Feller’s Spraoi cardigan - which is similar but has raglan shaping and plain stockinette sleeves. envious of your outing to Lamb and Kid - on my wish list!
Ohhhh! Your yarn and needle wall is so beautiful and functional. Love that you can organize needles but also pretty seasoned yarns.
Thank you! It makes me so happy! 😍💓
'So anyhow...' 🤣♥
Haha, love how your Corran and Esmeralda have turned out, very inspiring!
Right?! How many times can I say it! hahahah! Thanks for watching friend!~ xx
Would love to hear more detail of your trip to Orcas! Planning a trip with my daughter and am clueless about the area.
Ohhhhh!
I’m planning on checking out The Lamb and Kid in a couple of weeks! I can’t wait to see the shop.
Loved the Esmeralda.... You are one of my favorite podcasters. I mentioned this on my podcast Episode 2 :) @ The Knitty Kats Thank you for your constant inspiration.
OOOOH! Thank you SO much! Off to watch yours! 💜
How cool, we live close to orcas island. Hope you enjoyed your time.
Awe! You are so lucky! What a gorgeous part of the world! xx
Dear Leslie, thank you for your kind words.... I'm so looking forward to see what you make. Pleasure as always. Ivana ❤
Happy knitting! xx
Needle storage perfection! ❤
Awe! So glad you love the pattern! Makes me so happy! Thank YOU! And thank you for your sweet words! xx
My day just got better ! Can’t wait to watch later ❤
YOU are the sweetest! :) xx
THANK YOU! 💜 Hugs, friend. xx
Regarding your Ranunculus: it might block out longer since it’s alpaca??? Looking forward to seeing how it works out. Love your podcast!!!
YESSSSSSS! One of those times you don't mind a sweater growing! :) Happy knitting friend! xx
dear Leslie, I love the republic of me as well, will also make her recipe ;-) love the color combination you choose for the sweater.
My poor husband 🤣😂
Thanks for sharing and I could listen to you weekly for an hour!! Karen 🥰😘
Oh, Karen! I wish we lived closer! We could knit, make all our skincare products and cleaning supplies! AND share brown clothes! :) Happy knitting sweet friend! xx
Missed you! Welcome home. ❤
Awe! Thank you!!!💜💜💜
Have you seen the podcast “those twins who knit” they have a beautiful neutral color astetic that I think you’d love😊 Beautiful knitting as always Leslie😍
So many beautiful sweaters. I’m so happy to see you again. I too would love to go to The Lamb and Kid some day and I loved hearing from your trips this summer. 💖🧶
xoxo
Love your style!
Well, that is just the sweetest! Thank you! xx
Take care.
THANK YOU for those sweater choices! I can't wait to look them up! Happy Knitting friend! xx
Fabulous idea for needle and yarn storage! Very artistically done ❤
Thank you Janis! So much fun to look at! :) Happy knitting friend! xx
So excited to see more brown being used! You Ranunculus looks great!
Awe, Amanda! Meeee toooooo! xx
Wonderful content and inspiration ❤
Awe. Thank you friend! 🧡
Ooooooh! I need to look for those plastic tub from Costco! Sounds perfect! THANK YOU! xx (My boys are renting an apartment in Shadyside!)
Years ago I lived in Shadyside too! Loved it!
Hi there! Alpaca grows!! There may be hope for your Ranunculis!
Yay! Yes! Finished and blocked and ready for some photos! I think it is perfect! 😍 Thank you!
Especially dishwashing soap!
i enjoy watching you i have been on ravelery tried to find your patterns i have had no luck
Happy knitting, friend! xx
@@LeslieFriend yes! Mind boggling is the perfect description 🙃 thank you! 💜
Welcome back!
Thank you Vickie! 🧡🧡🧡
Enjoyed your podcast
Awe! Thank you for watching! xx
For moths, if gets hot where you are, put your yarn in the trunk of your car and let it bake in the sun all day. Probably not advisable for yarn containing nylon but for 100% wool or blends with plant based fibres, this should work. You need high temps which is why your trunk works best.
Great tip! THANK YOU! xx
It’s always a pleaser to hang out with you 🤗🧶💕
Awe! Thank you so much for visiting! xx
Whiskey and wool did a deep dive into moths on her channel. So not fun. Glad you had fun in PNW 😊. Truly beautiful spot the San Juans.
Thank you! I will do some hunting on her channel! Happy Knitting! xx
Use BugMD moth traps. They’re Amazing and work so well. They’re sticky and have a lure for the moths. I put them around my whole house and was surprised to catch a few I did t know I had.
WOW! Thank you SO much! Will order some today! xx
Love your podcast as always! Made my first Friend to Friend and absolutely love it! Thinking of making Ivana’s sweater too: You are so inspiring thank you so much:
Awe. Hope your friend to friend keeps you cozy! Thanks for loving it! xx
I use a moth repellant spray that I found on Etsy. Fingers crossed that it will keep moths at bay.
Happy traveling friend! xx
@@LeslieFriend Thank you for the information. We will be there later this week.
Oh, Lynda! The Irish Spring Soap is genius! I'll get some this week! THANK YOU! xx
So lovely to catch up on your travels and knitting! Do you have a preferred cast on for the friend to friend as I don’t see in the pattern. Thanks!
Hi! I love the long tail cast on for this project! That is actually my go to cast on for most projects! Hope that helps! Happy knitting friend!
@@LeslieFriend ❤❤❤
U can use lavender bags for the wool. The bugs dont like lavender❤
THANK you! I will give it a try! Someone else mentioned Bug MD. I'll have to add both!🤩
Just saw your brown ranunculus on IG...would love to know the details of yours....I'm wanting a more fitted version like yours. Maybe your next video?
YES! I will be sure to talk all about it! Plan on filming this week! THANK YOU! 💜💜
I have missed you My Friend. I hope you will be back sooner than later.❤️🤗
awe! Thank you sweet Linda! 😍 Happy Knitting my friend! xx
HI, how did you get the english translation for Lana Grossa? RAUTENPULLUNDER? i can't find it? thank you
Hi Monique! I actually received it when I purchased the yarn in Berlin. Someone told me that when you go to download the pattern on Ravelry (it's free) that the English option pops up?! However, I just did it and didn't find that option. Maybe email or DM them? Sorry I can't help more! xx
What size and brand of ziplock bags do you buy?
HI! For my yarn I like the largest ziplock bags from IKEA! They are fun, too! 😍💜
Your needle storage is so clever! I think I need to make a friend to friend. Yay for having your kids home.
Yes! I truly think the Friend to Friend is a lovely addition to any closet! Thanks for visiting friend. Happy knitting! 💜

I keep all of my yarn in Ziploc bags in storage containers. I hate it. I would like to be able to have it on the walls and enjoy its beauty but I know we have moths and those little silverfish bugs so I can’t.
Oh dear! I hear ya! All the things I want to make sure stays safe stays in bags as well! Happy knitting friend! xx

I am knitting the salty days sweater by kutovakika #knitwithkika I am in love with the pattern, I can't put it down 😍🧶
I MUST make that TOO! I LOVE THAT SWEATER! I want to see yours when you are finished! 😍
Against moth, but just on natural fiber, no mix with nylon or sythetics, the mycrowaves. Try on smal peices wol and stay near , it kan fire…
thank you!
Remember alpaca stretches.
Yessssssss! That is a beautiful thing when you need it! :) xx
Such great tips! Thank you SO much! xx
Lamb and Kid has a couple brown shades in their Mho Mho. Moonwink and Armadillo.
Thank you SO much Jacqueline! I will definitely watch that video! I wonder if Sonder Yarn has a dark brown as well! xx

Stay safe with your travels.....hearing about your foray in to the Canadian Northwest reminding me of my roots, I was born on Saltspring Island in the Gulf Islands and spend my early childhood and a year in my teens there. Im biased, but I think few would argue the Canadian North West is a beautiful part of the world.
Im looking forward to your next catch up already, take care,
