You sure? most of their songs are played in C, B or even C# tunings, Thrash Metal is either E standard or Eb.
I didn't like them at first either, I don't know what it was. But I saw them live when they toured with Dark Tranquillity a few years ago and they blew me away. Went home to listen to their music again and fell in love! Their lyrics are amazing and their songs are fresh~
Bothers me so much that Pete got so much hate for being the creative one in the band. His range was incredible. The bands catalog holds up still after all these years.

God I love this song. These guys are so good. Jesus. This is my favorite album from them. 99 is my favorite song on that album. These guys play with Exodus a lot...you can tell.

I'm so glad I got to see The Haunted with Peter in May 2010. I was at the front barrier for the entire show screaming my head off to every single song, so eventually Peter shoved the mic in my face during the "I swear by the flag and the bible, and my own mother's grave" part of this song. Someone took a picture of it, too. A great memory for me.

Peter Dolving was the very best of the best here. Marco Aro is OK. He is not excellent. He never was. PJ kept writing phenomenal riffs, but...the new stuff is dead.
