We Love You, Martha!

Family Centre is heartbroken over the passing of Martha Dismont, our Founder and former Executive Director of the organization for 30 years.
Martha’s faith and passion were pivotal to her drive to build a nonprofit from the ground up, whose mission was to strengthen children and families in Bermuda without barriers. Family Centre was established in 1990, growing under Martha's leadership from tutoring one child to impacting the emotional and social wellbeing of thousands of children, teens and families across the island.
Martha’s vision transcended the impossible to what is possible, and she seldom took no for an answer. The world is a better place for having had Martha Dismont in it.
We find comfort in continuing her life's work every day through Family Centre's commitment to ensuring families have access to support without barriers, and working towards a healthy Bermuda where all families are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Family Centre is Martha's legacy - from its humble beginnings to a multi-faceted, multi-disciplined organization that advocates for children, teens and families while facilitating healing, hope, and connection.
