Was the tuna continued to be tracked after the Mediterranean? Did the tracking stop at that time which is to be understood that in that area that there is no concern for the conservation for management?

They do so by chemoreception where they use a sense of smell pattern to mark their tracks. Their driven by senses for mating and food abundance

Just like Salmon that return every 2 -5 years & spawn within 3 foot of where they were born. They swim out to ocean & we have little understanding of where they go. Most Pacific salmon are born off Alaska and British Columbia. The farthest Journey that I know is from the ocean to the headwaters of the Yukon river in Alaska and Canada is over 2,000 miles. My favorite fish is from the Copper River and I know they swim over 400 miles to get to where I catch them. They are full of fat and have a different genetic code & taste as does every salmon for all streams & rivers. Check out the Alaska Copper River salmon cost per pound.

Then how do we achieve a global consensus on regulation and how would said regulation be enforced. This statement can be applied to any global environmental issue.

If Bluefin tuna are to be protected then better lobby the EU to stop fishing trawlers overfishing the Mediterranean. Fish stocks are dwindling there, leaving nothing for migrating and young tuna to eat there.
