Dave chill out as long as it 2as after the battle not during. He list bruh you need to fall back. Canibus is depressed bro and having other issues. He know he should have had a great career. That's why you need agood producer and DJ'S and an overall good team to make it. Em was blessed to have a Dr Dre to teach him , how to create a character, rap timing, breath control, making beats ,how to craft an engaging story in a song. People try to diss Dre for taking a long time to complete projects but when he is finished his work is legendary. Look at both Chrinic albums compared to the Straight outta Compton soundtrack which studio guys rushed him to put out. There are probably one maybe two decent songs on that album.
He could have remembered them all and it wouldn't have mattered, it was already looking terrible for him before the notepad. The material he did remember wasn't very good either.

Busta Rhymes is one of the greatest. Period. He has fortune fame lyrics and hot beats great music and club hits.....he's still VERY underrated.
Umm.. he's not underrated! He is well respected , sold millions of records (something these new age kids can't do) movies, had an Il crew and a long run. His accolades, creativity and grammies speak for himself but at the end of the day we all get old, pass the torch and Busta is. Legend go and do your research. Think the term underrated is a cliche word and is heavily miss used on youtube by people who never knows what they are talking about.

Canibus is still a beast. Yes, he made a major mistake by pulling out a notebook in the middle of a battle, & quite frankly, I'm certain that he feels bad about doing that now, and probably won't ever do it again. It happened, it is what it is now, and history can't change it. However, Canibus is still one of the best MCs of all-time. I have him in my top 5, without a doubt, as far as overall cleverness, intelligence, lyricism, & wit; it's all there. It's like the total package. One of the best.

When Bust said, "Cats pulling out Blackberry's while they battle rapping", the first person that came to mind was Arsenol. He does that a lot before raps, scrolling through his Blackberry as if he is reminding himself of some of his rhymes. I'm not saying he's reading his rhymes, but it does look VERY suspect.

Canibus knew he was going into a match for one of the first times as an underdog. That's real talk. Bus was a legend , and wasn't use to that. A crowd that was hyped on dizaster. A style he couldn't mess with, and he was a has been to a young crowd like that. He knew he lost the first two, and had that planned for media hype

Still writing is part of rap. The biggest part actually. They need to call it a freestyle battle or a memorization battle. I understand that pulling out notes is a bad look but it's not that bad considering that whatever you wrote might be fire. If I have better lyrics than you and a better delivery I should win even if my memory is not as good. They should also have to rap with and without a beat. Diz could not possibly win a battle on a beat and to me every aspect of rap should be involved in judging a Rap battle. Otherwise you need to un generalize the name. Call it a No beat rap battle etc. But to think that one guy could be a better freestyler and writer and know how to ride a beat and know how to kick real world knowledge in between dope bars and still lose a battle simply because he didn't memorize his couple of lines about a specific opponent is an insult to Rap. IMHO.

Bus never battled anybody out of the Country before. Since he had name recognition, he knew everyone would be rooting for diz, especially since diz just put on a few good shows there.
Canibus's heights are immarkable, definitely god level for hip-hop. But the notepad and that battle were some of the worst things for hip-hop.
Busta rhymes has a very distinctive voice .... i loved his weird style .. it always got me hyper .. he just had a different style and he give a fuck about being criticized for it.. Busta will always be one of my all time favs man ..

Freestyle battles are a lost art....I actually love URL and how the battles are written with a little freestyle, but the freestyle era was something special. That's how came up battling at parties and shut, we'd clown someone if they were sus of writing

You can't 'lose points' if the battle is over. Also, it is not the "middle" of it is over. Canibus conceded first, pulled the notebook second. My understanding is that the notebook was a consolation. He was deciding to at least share what he had to at least try to satisfy anyone wanting to hear what he had to say. Nevertheless, he conceded first. The battle was over.
To me, this was totally Matt Hughes vs Royce Gracie. Respect, Canibus came back, went out on his sword, passed the torch.
