Just curious, why didn't you just delete the tank sock and plumb in a pre lift pump spin-on filter? The tank sock has been a known issue and sure would save the trouble of dropping the tank if it ever becomes clogged. Besides the fact that the spin-on would give a 30 micron filtration whereas the tank sock is in the neighborhood of 100.
That truck has a new tank and new pickup...... All brand new from the tank being rusty. I have done another truck with no sock... And large pre lift pump filter. It has good fuel pressure.
Great video! I just installed a 4601hp that I just installed---very similar. I also installed a Bean Sump on the tank---and a 100 micron pre-filter. Huge difference--the extra feed to the IP is almost like advancing your timing by about 1 degree. The lift pumps all seem to fail without a really good pre-filter---but I think 30 microns would be too restrictive.
AMAZING! I'm going to do the same

Do you have a video, or link to these parts?
