But feels akward in some moments, like, there's some big continuity problems and the edition is bad. Like, there's some big flaws. But, narratively speaking is good.
Bought this recently. I think it is better than the theatrical cut because there is more time focused on the characters in the future, and of course, it has Rogue back. I was extra-mad at X3 for not having her fight with the team because I was so invested in her character and she is my favorite X-Man after Wolverine. I was not holding my breath on seeing her fight Sentinels, but just knowing she would be with the team in the movie and using her power for a good amount of time made me satisfied enough. Besides, I think it's appropriate that Rogue should help Logan stay in the past because he was the first mutant she met and their bond is one of my favorite bits in this film series. Hell, I get emotional just hearing Rogue saying, "Hello, Logan." Also, a lot of the extra moments are not major enough to be a game changer for the film. They're just cute ("Princess and the Wolverine"). However, anyone else think Richard Nixon's comment about screwing and that mid-credits sequence with Trask is unnecessary?

Although as long as the endings are the same which I am 99.9 percent sure they are,(SPOILER NEXT IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVEN'T SEEN DOFP YET) the universe gets reset anyway at the end of the film so the events leading up to that moment can be whatever you want and it still works with the movie canon going forward.
They released the script months ago, but it would be awesome to see it! Rogue has always been a favorite for me, COMIC book version for me. I didn't like the movie portrayal, they made her like a fearful child when she is a very strong character, even starting out in the comics. Ability to fly, super strength, etc were added bonuses. But I do look forward to the Rogue Cut, have been for a year and a half
I am really excited for the extended edition...but I didn't even know that rogue was back...and actually I am kind of pist off that shes not part of the regional whatsoever..but still XD

When I watched it, it had quite a few extra scenes, like a joke about the Internet and stuff. Personally, I think they should have stayed with this version. A few people have mentioned some flaws such as a scream from one of the characters during Magneto getting put into the Cave area by Kitty but I think that is a lack of editing due to it not being the version put on the big screen. It feels MUCH more complete with Rogue.
Fox will do anything to keep the rights. Yeah they know Rogue is a very beloved character (even though they can't even get her right in the movies) but it's not Anna Paquins fault. I think she does awesome with what's she's given.
Jokin_a_box This special edition was announced even before the blu-ray for the theatrical cut was released. Not sure why people are complaining that Fox is trying to double dip. Afterall all studios do this. Also, July 14th is the first X-men's 15th anniversary.
I may have forgotten or got this wrong but how can rogue have her powers? She got rid of them and became human. Or did this movie not take into account the cure. I mean then why wasn't future Mystique with them in the future. I just don't understand where Rogue came from.
***** I believe the cure did not last. Magneto was also given "the cure" but his powers came back (i think a the end of that movie they show him moving a metal chess piece). Also they are sort of pretending that movie didn't happen? there's lots of time travel stuff so its all very strange
+Christian Santana You're right. Cure is just only in beta/Alpha stage which means the cure cannot defeat X genes. I think the cure is still in development.

It all takes where X-men fights off the brotherhood before fat guy bounces her off at the pack of cans. She just talking until she a woman in the shadow which is Ms Marvel(She's a hero). She just scream and scream until Ms marvel gave her amnesia only for a short while. She just destroy the building up to the roof. Before storm brings her back, the floating figure ask her to come. Asking where she is, she said hospital. Mystique stops x-menAt the hospital, Rogue follows Ms Marvel(Is Mystique) and she crashed some sh*tties. Then confused, Mystique explains her and ask to look at her memories. In the past, Rogue has first kiss with her boyfriend, Cody. That's where she get she powers, her fat father dumped her. She ran away and find Mystique and become villain and that's where Ms marvel tried to stop them but Rogue got her. However, Rogue feels something wrong which she had never had
+Cass Pan Mystique ask her to hold up longer. Then later, Ms marvel fall asleep into a forever known as COMA. Rogue starts to have crazy voices and flash then leaves the brotherhood. She finds Charles Xavier which only block Ms marvel from harming her. Later, Ms Marvel got her body until Jean took over 'Ms Marvel' minds. She trapped her. Then later, Rogue came visit her to give her power back and in the end, Ms Marvel smiled. Still, since Rogue had her powers. It would came off when she's older or not which means that Ms Marvel had lost her power forever or may even come back later.

MAJOR SPOILERS HERE Like, there's many continuity problems (why does Hank ridiculously changes all of his clothes on all scenes he is in after the Rogue rescue starts?). Kitty brings Magneto to inside the Temple, instead of Blink (but we can still her the little screm she gives on the threatical cut when she opens her portal)...seems like someone forgot to fix it. And the scene where we see the Sentinel's arm on the X-jet, the whole take was computer generated, and we don't see any of the mutants that were outside the temple where they were supposed to be. I don't know exactly why those flaws happened, felt weird. But narratively speaking was cool, set the tension higher and it was really important to see characters Storm and Bishop having more voice. Still sad because they cutted the arrival at the temple :(

I think if they had originally stayed with this version they would have fixed a lot of those errors. And I still like it more (But I am COMPLETELY biased because I was furious when they decided to remove Rogue's scenes lol).
I would prefer Jennifer Lawrence play no one I personally hated her as Mystique...but thats just my own opinion, I very much dislike her as an actress, I think she's overrated....I did like her in American Hustle though
