- In today's video I tried out some colored UV resin to create a cute design which turned into a balloon lamp, inspired by the Disney movie UP.
I made a cute little house from air dry clay, painted it and created some resin balloons. I then set it all in epoxy resin, the materials list are below. I hope you enjoyed.

Agree, it was all a bit of an ad-lib project and these are good sometimes, but shows that planning all the way through sometimes would work better, but then sometimes this is when the best ideas are born, a bit of inspiration I hope, thank you, happy crafting 😊🎈🏠💛
What if the strip of lights were shaped to create a frame around the outside of the lamp? That might give a neat effect! I think this would be a lovely night light.
@@leaamherst yes that could work, although I’ve just purchased some lights in a fine wire, I think that will be even better, thanks

This is absolutely adorable. I’m thinking of how to get the lights to go around the project and not bunched at the bottom. A box in a box type thing. Smaller rectangle in the big mold to pour the first layer with the lights in it. Cure, take smaller rectangle put in the balloons with house then finish out the resin. I love the flakes in the resin which gives it a special sparkle.😊❤

Hmmmm would the lights have gone around the entire rectangle? I am a tad turned off by the lights at the bottom gathered together like that.. but if the lights only fit that way I don't know how else you could do them. The UP house is simply adorable. And the balloons are spectacular. The entire thing is fantastic if only the lights were not in a bunch. Lol we all love it tho anyway. Sarah what kind of resin and lamp would I need to buy to get started. It looks like too much fun to not do it. Lol

Loved the project, but I'm not sure about the placing of the wiggly lights. Do you use a mask when working with the resin? If yes, can we have a link. Thank you for sharing 🌻

I would hide the lights around the edges.
Definitely a good plan, since I have bought some really delicate lights on a wire these would look much better too, thanks 😊
