    Great video Jeff. The drone footage is a nice upgrade, really provides an interesting perspective. One suggestion for you that I have seen in some other hog trapping videos. Some of them use a broom or a paddle to motivate the the hogs into the trailer. It does not harm the hogs but irritates them more than just the noise or banging on the trap, so may be worth a try and see if it saves you some time in the future.

    Seems like in Mississippi they dispatch the hogs inside the trap, whereas you deliver them alive to the butcher operation. Is there anything in state law about handling pigs before butchering them?

    Here’s one for you. As you know, they herd cattle and wildlife using helicopters. On these big traps, I’m wondering if you could herd hogs with a drone. It might just piss them off but I’d sure try it. It would make good RUclips even if it didn’t work. All you need is a cheap $100 drone.🤷‍♂️👍🏻😁🇺🇸

    I have my dog on a high dollar dry crunchy formulation incorporating wild hog meat. Maybe some of it comes from the wild pigs you catch and sell for slaughter at the processing operation. When you said RINGGOLD I remembered my years at the main post office in Fort Worth the zip code is 76261---a small rural town. I wish you can reel in $529 every day you venture out to catch these harvests. Any spare change, buy some silver and tell no one about it. It will shield you from inflation very well.

    • @sammythompson3694
      @sammythompson3694 2 месяца назад +1

      @@WestTennessee Some use netting for the whole trap in a circle just like the metal fencing. If still using the metal circle then no gate with the net blocking the gate with a side that they slip through to get inside. Pigs are smart, but try to go through the net blocked gate exit instead of the side entrance. If you want hogs to move when you are standing close they must be aware of the prod. They don't move when you are close because they have no reason to. The prod must be a part of the operation to shorten the time of unproductive footage
