Morning, guys. I'm going on a 2 week overland trip come the end of this month. Wondering of you could answer two questions for me. 1) Are you still running a front sway bar? 2) What is the body roll like with that amount of weight up high on the machine? I'm just getting to the stage of setting mine up for long distance travel now so i haven't really felt the weight on the trail yet, wondering your experience. Heviest thing on the roof will be my spare tire and jack.
Hey good morning! We aren’t running the front swaybar, the trails around us really don’t have the speed where we have felt it necessary, and not running it makes for a much more comfortable ride. This trip and a few others were some of our first and we definitely over packed and were just using our “normal” camp gear. More backpacking type of gear would have really helped with weight reduction. Body roll was definitely felt, I would much have preferred a 4 seater and storing the gear lower down. I wouldn’t worry too much about the tire, and better to have it with you! :) Have fun!
I was curious where you ride, until the 15:00 mark with I-70 traffic. I live in Denver too! Where were you guys riding? I'm new to the UTV world and want to get into overlanding as well.
Haha that i70 traffic is unmistakable :) Colorado has so much to ride and explore, Get out there and have fun! Check out some of the Colorado side by side facebook groups for local insight.
We do that all the time and I love it, wife kinda lol. Last time we went from west to south all the way across north Wisconsin in to Michigan and back. It was a little over 800 miles. We will camp or drive to a hotel. For meals look at Mountainhouse meals. All you need is something to cook hot water and they are very good.
Wow! that is some impressive miles, we typically don't put on more than 100 or so. Would love to do a longer trip at some point. We'll check out those meals, always looking to cut out some weight and it seems we pretty much bring everything but the kitchen sink! Keep up the great content! We've been watching your channel since first getting the X3 a couple of years ago. Your pre-runner bumper install video helped out with our install. :)
Just FYI I have the four seater and I use the BF good wrench baji mud terrain tires and I’ve had two flats at different times on the side walls that were not repairable. But that is driving Pretty hard in the desert in Las Vegas. Thanks for the video love it
Great video! My wife wants to know how your passenger keeps her hair perfect? Checkout 2023 SPEED UTV 4 seater coming. They have a much larger pickup style bed. Next Gen utv... by the time you upgrade any other Mfg. Sport model, you saved $10-20k. Check out glue tread or cold vulcanized repair kits until you can carry a spare. Until then... Good luck 👍
We're actually using the plastic BRP roof. I drilled a couple of holes through the roof to hold the cross bars to the roll cage. The roof rack is just an inexpensive car top carrier found on Amazon. We really wanted something inexpensive that we could easily take off if needed.
Beautiful place to ride!
It really is!
Awesome. Just ordered a roof rack for our X3.
Right on! You won't regret it. The only thing now is that it seems we take along too much stuff lol
Looks like you need a 3rd seat for that beautiful dog. 😃
Yes we really do! We would like to move to a 4 seater!

Great adventure and video...I gotta get one of these especially where we live I could drive it to the store as well. Also, I just subbed!
Thank you so much!
No more videos?!
We haven’t gotten out much this year unfortunately! More trips planned this fall
Good video but if you could cut out the crap music and use the road/engine sound it would be 1000x better. We wanna hear it rip man!!
Appreciate the feedback, going to give that a try on our next video!

nice video, got my rig all ready to go just waiting for the snow to melt (Canada). Cheers!
Awesome! Yes, we are certainly looking forward to the snow melt and getting some rides in this summer
Natural sounds > music
Appreciate the feedback, going to give that a try on our next video!
What about spare tire?
Yeah no spare, maybe once we move to a 4 seater we'll have the room. Right now it is just an air compressor, lots of plugs, and prayers! :D

What roof rack and roof panel do you use?

Where did you get the rear holder's for roof rack that's connected to your roll cage
