thanks for watching! links discussed in the video are listed below! masterclass.themilkmanual.com... comment if you have any questions for a part two 🙂
I need hand-holding to get started! I was thinking of going for CBS and then work on IBCLC. I don't know where to start like where to start. my long-term goal is to work for myself but I want as much experience in as many fields/environments as possible.
Hi! I just passed my CLC exam and using it as a stepping stone to become an ibclc. How long did it take you to complete your clinical hours to sit for the ibclc exam?
It seems impossible to be an IBCLC if you are not a nurse . I'm a RD btw. Meaning hard to get hired. I'm on an IBCLC group and we discuss this all the time
so I'm probably the worst person ever to ask any insurance or formality questions because I'm still learning. BUT I used the CM&F group when I was in private practice! I haven't looked into new options yet but I will be soon and will def update you :)
Just came back from prometric. Took my IBCLC exam today!
sending you all the luck! what’d you think of the test?
Thanks for the info ❤
no problem at all, katie 🙂
What jobs can someone do who is not in the medical field but they want to work in lactation?
any jobs, i believe! you don’t have to be an RN before becoming a lactation consultant. 🙂

i’m not 100 percent sure because i got them over the span of my nursing job!
maybe 2+ years?

this is what I've heard online a lot! I guess I'm fortunate to have worked for a practice in Texas where a good majority were not RNs beforehand!
What insurance company did you use or what insurance company would you recommend for private practice IBCLC
