Indy The Great It sounds a bit clearer on this song, but in Quartz Quadrant Zone, it does sound slightly different. I can just about make "Shake it" on this, but not on Quartz Quadrant Zone.
Something I find kind of interesting is that, due to the soundtrack stuff added into the Christian Whitehead remake, that version of USA Wacky Workbench Present is almost twice as long.
+Overhazard You're probably talking about version from album "Sonic the Hedgehog Boom". Fun fact, on the album it's listed as "Workbench Workout", and album track "Wacky Workbench" is actually a Good Future track.
One of my favorite tunes on the US soundtrack! It fits perfectly with the crazy and bouncy platforms. The song has a catchy funk/reggae sound to it which i think goes well with the bouncing platforms and the psychedelic colors of the stage
The evil anti-gravity floor makes me rage sometimes. It's like it shoots you all the way up to the tip-top of the stage, you slowely work your way back down dodging electric wires so you can proceed, only to mis-step and get shot back up again. RAAAAGE.
This one actually has instruments that sound like working tools. The good future even more so. I think it captures the workbench angle way better than jp does. The bad future jp sounds more wacky than anything though
In the background, the singers are saying "shiiiit.....shiiit....shiiit!" because the singers are trying to describe how much this level sucks due to the difficulty
Reminds me of "Make You Mine" by El DeBarge on El's "Gemini" album AND "Axel F." by Harold Faltermeyer, from "Beverly Hills Cop", with a touch of some ska.
I always found this to be the bizzaro track on both soundtracks. This song sounds more in place in the japanese soundtrack & the japanese version sounds more fitting for the american soundtrack.
I usually prefer the Japanese soundtrack BUT for Wacky Workbench at least I can say it sounds way better to my ears^^ If only we can choose which soundtrack we want for each Zone lol
I just thought of something. If in the 1-out of 1000 chance that they ever make a sequel to this game. They should make a factory level just like WW and use this exact theme for the present. And make the futures use different variations of this theme including the "sha-dee-doops."
@Triforce9426 thats is true my friend but sega is now going in the right direction with sonic now, you should check out the new sonic thats out on the playstaion network.
Once it hits 1:00 it becomes so awesome
0:15 - 0:46
Shoryuken, shoryuken, shoryuken, shoryuken...
Exactly what I wanted to do to the level designer.
I'm generally a fan of the JP soundtrack, but even I love the US version of Wacky Workbench. So funky!
Spencer Neilson confirmed to me that it's "Shake It" I don't know how you people can hear otherwise.
Indy The Great It sounds a bit clearer on this song, but in Quartz Quadrant Zone, it does sound slightly different. I can just about make "Shake it" on this, but not on Quartz Quadrant Zone.
i thought it was je ney pa in french or something
@@redhotsonic on quartz quadrant it sounds like its saying "Fast"
We're missing those "k" and "t" consonants in the song.
Those electrical chords are no joke. 0:30 is where it gets serious.
*****
That is bizarre. Did someone misread some notes?
@KerryC05
Sonic OAV was actually suppossed to be a pilot for a potential series. But alas, it was never picked up
One of my favorite tunes on the US soundtrack! It fits perfectly with the crazy and bouncy platforms. The song has a catchy funk/reggae sound to it which i think goes well with the bouncing platforms and the psychedelic colors of the stage
Hmm. It's giving me Fly in the Freedom vibes.
My favourite USA present theme.
"The Japanese soundtrack is better, the US soundtrack is creepy not happy at all"
What the fuck is Tidal Tempest and Wack Workbench zone then?
This is the most 80's thing I have ever heard that didn't actually come from the 80's.
Aaah this is heavenly! This brings backs memories of 1993 even though I never played this game back then.
it's a mishearing of the "shoobedoo-doo" in the background
Man I love this stage and the music, the stage is like that you are at the funnest bunjie jump or jump house.
The evil anti-gravity floor makes me rage sometimes. It's like it shoots you all the way up to the tip-top of the stage, you slowely work your way back down dodging electric wires so you can proceed, only to mis-step and get shot back up again. RAAAAGE.
Wooo This Is So Funky
This reminds me a bit of "Moon Patrol" and "Axel F" combined!
Beverly. Hills. Cop.
That is all.
Shuriken! Shuriken!
Sounds like Axel F
US: Wacky
JPN/EU: Workbench
This one actually has instruments that sound like working tools. The good future even more so. I think it captures the workbench angle way better than jp does. The bad future jp sounds more wacky than anything though
I'm glad the US Soundtrack made it in. However, I had to convince my parents this song wasn't a late 80's TV theme song.
This and the music from Collision Chaos (Past) is my favorite!
I can't unhear it!
Shoobity-doo-doo! Shoobity-doo-doo!
R.A.G. M.A.R EXACTLY
Haha, as a kid, I always heard "shuuut up, shuuut up..." as the lyrics xD
Amazing!
One of my favs
Someone should make a mod where act 1 is jp and act 2 is us. Idk for act 3 though
SHURIKEN!
BWOOM!
The start of this song is almost identical to the title screen of Kid Chameleon.
Madman Asa And "Startin Something" by Michael Jackson.
This is such a good song! Shame it doesn't fit the level very well...
Eu adoro essa música!
Tbm
This would be really good for a radio station DJ.
I like this song a bunch.
Nice
Awesome music
In the background, the singers are saying "shiiiit.....shiiit....shiiit!" because the singers are trying to describe how much this level sucks due to the difficulty
I like this version, but this music sounds like a beach level theme for my
Dat bassline.
Reminds me of "Make You Mine" by El DeBarge on El's "Gemini" album AND "Axel F." by Harold Faltermeyer, from "Beverly Hills Cop", with a touch of some ska.
Japan version:wacky workbench
Us version: workbench?
No.
Why dose Quartz Quadrant good future US have the same kind of words??
That would be very nice! I always wished they remade or made a sequel out of this game.
I always found this to be the bizzaro track on both soundtracks. This song sounds more in place in the japanese soundtrack & the japanese version sounds more fitting for the american soundtrack.
the music reminds me of an old saturday cartoon that was loved by many lol
Japenese: Wacky
USA: Workbench
I usually prefer the Japanese soundtrack BUT for Wacky Workbench at least I can say it sounds way better to my ears^^ If only we can choose which soundtrack we want for each Zone lol
welcome to the 80's!!!
this is so darn jazzy,am i right?
"Shee-edel-deup" is all i hear, and im not complainin
I WAS FROZEN TODAY!
robotnik:can u get through my factory,blue rodent?
sonic:*starts singing in female voice*sure i can! sure i can!
Okay so I just looked down at the comments below and noticed others had the same thing in mind. xD
Am I the only one getting a Knight Rider vibe out of this??
@superdude200ify You mean it was 'released' in 93 /Jap/Euro and 94 in the US.
Saying shudubduc but the bad future says hey hey go wacky!
Exactly!!
This song screams 90's
I just thought of something. If in the 1-out of 1000 chance that they ever make a sequel to this game. They should make a factory level just like WW and use this exact theme for the present. And make the futures use different variations of this theme including the "sha-dee-doops."
LYRICS: Should I pee? Should I pee? Should I pee? Should I pee? Should I pee? Should I pee?Should I pee? Should I pee?
yeah totally.
A ska song in a Sonic game. Nice!
For some reason, the Wacky Workbench songs are the only ones in the game that I prefer in the USA version. -_-'
This should have been the good future
I always though they were sing:
"Shugidugidudu, Shugidugidudu, Shugidugidudu, Shugidugidudu, Shugidugidudu, Shugidugidudu"
I just hope Sonic team puts this game in Sonic Generation
Good thing I got this game from PSN
I always thought it was Shoo-dee-doop.
0:03 usa + spain
Not the best song of the zone, but its still awesome.
My favorite song in this round (and in gaming history) is Wacky Workbench Good Future US.
They sure dont mae good video music like this anymore .
Fuck this stage
music is awesome though
Hmmmm....
US: Metallic
JPN/EU: Madness
US: Tidal
JPN/EU: Tempest
US: Stardust
JPN/EU: Speedway
...I see what they did there.
notice sonic 3 & knuckles's bonus stages with the blue spheres?
my favorite part 1:01-1:33
Best played in industrial assembly lines.
Check it out, ***** and ***** .
Shake it like that
Shoody doo
USA version: 80s style
JAP version: 90s style
Period.
@Triforce9426 thats is true my friend but sega is now going in the right direction with sonic now, you should check out the new sonic thats out on the playstaion network.
It's kinda repetitive, but ironically it feels like a factory.
Japanese version is much more techno-ey thats why its more epic
Shake That!
They aren't "From" the Generations trailer. This game was made WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Before Sonic Gen, dude.
@Nesplayer Well you're in luck because Sonic CD is getting re-released on XBLA
Am I the only one hearing "shuriken! shuriken! shuriken! shuriken!"?
Surge it up!!
sOUNDS LIKE MJ IN SONIC CD!!!!!!! SWEEEET!!
I Used to think they were singing: Jennifer Jennifer Jennifer Jennifer
I'm sorry but.
Sonic: *puts on gi* Shoryuken, Shoryuken!
SSSSSSSSSSSSS is the new HUUUUUUUUN 8D

Is that what the female vocalist is singing?
1:00 it's actually not bad when the ska kicks in
It's all good always.
This is Sonic CD, son!
Classic Sonic & Donkey Kong Country are always golden.
SHORYUKEN is all I hear
