- A few weeks ago, I saw some absolutely breathtaking colors while driving through Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, and Idaho. It reminded me of this beautiful jazz standard by Joseph Kosma, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. "Autumn Leaves" -- originally "Les Feuilles Mortes"

As a person who lives in Washington State, Autumn and Winter are the most beautiful times of the year here, while it gets cold and wet and it always rains here, it’s amazing when Autumn first comes in and you start to see those golden leaves drop, and then you start to see the atmosphere change and all of a sudden the air is colder and you see frost and fog everyday and every now and then the occasional snowfall, it’s truly breathtaking, and our sunsets are amazing too.
Here’s a little pun too: You know you live in Washington when you say “OoOo it’s a little warm out” and it’s 33-42 degrees outside, I had that happen to me one day and I was like finally I got back on Washington weather.
This is beautiful, thanks for sharing. I haven't seen a Washington sunset yet, but I've got that on the list for next time!
