Totally agree. You're a jazz pianist although you think you're not. But what's the definition of jazz if there is any or at least an attempt of a definition. Improvising over a theme or a melody with a small frame of chords I would say. This is my simple attempt of a definition of jazz as someone that has very little knowledge of jazz theory. And according to this definition you're absolutely a jazz player. The most important for me if someone can be called a jazz pianist is feeling. And of this you have an abundance. That's why to me your jazz is very delightful, enjoyable and creates an inner peace because your beautiful soul shines through every key that you strike. One of the most difficult things in jazz I would say is to master the independance of the right and the left hand. But you already mastered this. The level of independence of your two hands boggles my mind actually. This to me is the best proof that you are a jazz player. I watched quite a few jazz pianists that are really experts in jazz piano but a very few do have this astonishing independence of the two hands like you. What you delivered here in this 15 minutes is to me nothing short of miraculous. You improvised in so many areas that it was a joy to witness and learn from your creativity and spontaneity. You changed the rhythm a few times with great ease and made it swing, next time bluesy, then kind a bossa nova and other latin feels. And for real your playing was so together that I heared a jazz band around you although you were alone. I could hear above all the subtile rhythm of a band. Apart from all this you have an amazing personality. A really great radiation. I would say charisma. God and Jesus is shining through you I guess. Because I get deep into whorship when I listen to your praise songs. With your gorgeous beautiful smile (there is no other word for it) you can literally melt even the hardest of hearts. I clicked on your video because of this contageous smile of yours and didn't expect to get to know a lady that is so talented and skillfull with mind blowing musical skills and a beautiful beautiful voice that touches the soul. You're a great inspiration for me.

Now I have an entire playlist of Sangah's Jazz music that I listen to every day as I exercise or in the background as I'm working. No Rock, No R&B, No Beatles, only Sangah's Jazz for about 3 or 4 hours. .Her playing is that good that its opened my mind to musical styles I've never paid attention to before. As I type this I am view number 769,333. This deserves about 100 times that number of views. Simply magnificent.

Great song choices. Great playing. The improvising on Autumn Leaves was amazing and Misty was so romantic. Your bass is so like an upright bass player would play. I like your playing better than any I have ever heard. I think you have a more intimate, natural, emotional feeling than any of the well known pianists.

Wednesday September 14 2022 A wonderful quarter of an hour I spend in this lounge again and enjoy this wonderful piano music with its creative inventive improvisations while the sun is slowly setting and leaves me with autumn colors and I don't feel misty at all. So much happiness I feel here, let autumn be welcome 😊💕👌
Best and most rhythmic “Autumn Leaves”! Absolutely my favorite of the song’s renditions. In my Sangah’s playlist forever. Only wish it were a studio high quality so that I could enjoy it on my purchased Jazz iTunes library. The smiles are like the best as well. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️ I have enjoyed your musical gift since early May of this 2020 year; and have heard countless of musicians play livestreams, but you are truly the most engaging and talented of them all. Your music knowledge is extremely thorough and so unique. The improvisations are always so gorgeous to listen to and I never get tired of them because they are so fresh and true. I’m really blessed to have found your channel as I say it over and over this year. Thank you for such beautiful and amazing talents. The singing (not on this video) and playing are both impeccable! Bravo.
I don't know why, but this reminds me of those 101 Strings albums of my moms that I used to play on the console stereo phonograph back in 1962. So soothing, just floating along on clouds, forget your cares. Relax & enjoy the beauty of music. Thank you, this was simply beautiful.
looks so easy, like you were softly dancing on the notes. Been playing piano for nearly 40 years, I really enjoyed listening your video. Thanks a lot for sharing this.
This reminds me of old 78s I heard in my extreme youth when Jazz was giving me a road-map to endless musical possibilities. Brought up on the classics and strict-tempo rock, here was ragged time, endless improvisation, staggering dexterity and fourth-dimension sheer pleasure. And you are doing it for me all over again. Thank you! Made my evening! Greetings from Wales.
Dear Sangah, if I lived in your town, I would come to hear and watch you play every day, and I mean it. You are so fun to watch and you provide real pleasure to my ears. I am a self taught pianist and Misty was the tune that made me teach myself how to read music, because I couldn't find the audio recording. I fell in love with this tune as soon as I heard it for the first time in the library. Autumn Leaves is one of the first jazz tunes I had learnt to play too. So both tunes have a sentimental value to me. I will try to add some of the flavour from your version to my own the next time I play it. Thank you sooooooooooo much for sharing your music with us and most importantly(I have noticed that by reading the comments), for taking the time to respond to people's comments. My apologies for the few people whose mouse ended up, by accident surely, on the thumb down. Oh, and of course, I have subscribed. ;-)
WOW!!! You just made my day my friend!! I'm really glad to hear both songs are special to you and coincidentally I did both! Haha! It's amazing!! Thank you so much for your kind words, and good luck for your piano music! ❤👍😉
@@SangahNoona More than fully agreed with renesbbwi, I could have written his comment about your choice of these two delicious standards. You transmit your pleasure! subscribed! (I very rarely comment on YT, which goes to show...)
With pleasure I listen to these two songs again today. These are two beautifully extended versions with excellent improvisations. And I like to compare this version of Misty with the new one released 2 days ago. Both are a plain delight 👍😊👏
This is truly delightful. I love what you did from 12:08, what a lovely little variation you've created there, and played with absolute clarity and emotion. Your passion for performance shines so brightly throughout these two pieces, I don't know how you can say they're not jazzy and you're not a jazz pianist. You've absolutely captured the soul of these standards here.
Oh how I long for the day when I have this much freedom of expression on the piano. I simply must get those jazz piano lessons. This is what I want. Playing music at my mediocre levels brings me such peace and joy, but the look of joy on your face, only comes with years of dedication and the satisfaction of living it paying off. You're lovely.
One million views....and so deserved! This is a great video...relaxing, enjoyable, everything it should be. Congratulations! You earned it and we love it!😎❤❤
You create musical magic with passion and skill. I love your left hand walking bass to complement the melody and improvisation in Autumn Leaves. A delightful arrangement of a classic to enjoy.
There certainly are a lot of wonderful, positive comments on this video - all well deserved! I've watched this maybe 10 or 12 times. Not sure - this maybe the very first Lounge Series video I ever watched. It won't be the last. "Misty" is simply the best. 😎❤❤ (checked the date - I started watching Sangah around Halloween 2019 with her Beatles compilations so I think this lounge video may have been the first. It is special ❤)
Wow can you imagine how much work and practice went into that? What an inspiration. That's right ladies and germs (diseases)...that ain't sheet music. In any event...I'm deeply in love 😋😍😘
I bought a digital piano right after watching your video. I'm a little bit worried about learning because I'm over thirty years old and no experience of piano. Pray for me not to give up ^^... Your videos deliver good influences to me. Thank you!
Never is it too late to learn an instrument :) I'm happy to see more people are finding the time to learn the piano. Wish you the very best on your musical journey!
That’s the best “Misty” I have ever come across hearing. The intro captivated me, in total awe and suspension in time if you will. It is so gorgeous I have to stop everything to listen and absorb its beauty you portray it. Wow!!! I am not extremely familiar with “Misty” but it is one of the most gorgeously played song in the world by you. Thank you Sangah for broadening my world. Your music is absolutely beautifully rendered!!! 🙌❤️
I love this song. And thank you very much for playing the beautiful piano. And I don't respect to whom that usually can not play the piano but have given inverted thumbs.
As someone who mainly plays classical piano, I am so jealous of what you jazz pianists can do. I would love to be able to improvise like you and play such lovely and relaxing music.
Practice, practice, practice. It's like a different language. Listen to jazz piano, learn jazz theory, and practice. I was classically trained and eventually made the switch to playing primarily improvisational jazz piano, which I love. Get a fake book and have at it!
You are so natural, without ego. Truly friendly. How bad the world is that there is a thing called "long distance" so one can't meet. Keep up the good work.
A Monday morning Lounge twofer, great!!! Another appearance by Vince, great!!! Classic songs beautifully done. great!!! Loved all of it Sangah!!!! And congratulations on topping 200K on your 2-5-1 video, great!!!!!
Lovely. Since I never spent much time in lounges listening to lounge entertainment, need I say it's not my favorite way to listen to music?! However -- and I repeat, however -- I did love this. And when you play lounge style I definitely enjoy taking comfort from smooth jazz, 'noodling, or whatever in the background. There are times I enjoy reading a good book with one of your lounge uploads in the background. Just to enjoy your hands on the keys making music that doesn't have to be listened to. Or just to enjoy hearing music that's made for to be in the background as (I think) only you can do it. I've said this before and I stand behind it again now: you are the best I've ever heard. And at my age I have heard many others, believe me.
Already lots of (justified) compliments on your technical prowess but to watch you have such fun and enjoy yourself so much with this great version of Autumn Leaves is something else! Even when I'm not watching the video stream, I can hear that radiant smile through your playing. Bravo!

How lovely playing. This playing comes from soul.... two person together... A base and solo hand with jazz. Perfect.
I have enjoyed your musical gift since early May of this 2020 year; and have heard countless of musicians play livestreams, but you are truly the most engaging and talented of them all. Bravo.
I really like this song. Thank you someone special for showing it to me
Someone is just awesome
I don't know why, but this reminds me of those 101 Strings albums of my moms that I used to play on the console stereo phonograph back in 1962. So soothing, just floating along on clouds, forget your cares. Relax & enjoy the beauty of music. Thank you, this was simply beautiful.
WOW!! 1962?!! I'm honored!! ❤😉👍
I love visiting your previous lounge series...the many hours sure have served you well Sangah...
Beautiful! 👍🏼💯🎹🎶♥️😊
I could never play like you, in a million years! Just wonderful. An inspiration!!
There's nothing better or worse. You do your own work. It's another wonderful work! Thank you my friend! ❤👍😉
@@SangahNoona You're so welcome! I just started practicing your method of ii-V-I. :) :)
너무 너무 좋아요~ 제 어깨가 들썩이네요~ 좋은 음악 감사해요~
Love that walking bass in Autumn leaves but having coffee and pastry with Misty on a Sunday afternoon would top the chart for me. 😊
너무 아름다운 선율입니다 어릴 때 재즈 피아니스트가 되는게 꿈이었는데 전 이루지 못한 꿈 이루신거 너무 부러워요! 들으며 힐링합니다
looks so easy, like you were softly dancing on the notes.
Had to add: giving your time to answer so many comments is a quality, sign of generosity
@@astronome92 Oh....I'm really honored to hear that my friend! ❤👍😉
With pleasure I listen to these two songs again today. These are two beautifully extended versions with excellent improvisations. And I like to compare this version of Misty with the new one released 2 days ago. Both are a plain delight 👍😊👏
you can tell she did really enjoy both of these classics, especially atutumn leaves (:
You have a beautiful soul and rhythm in your play. Not cloudy but moody, Not shady but glittering. Thanks for the stunning play.
You earned it and we love it!😎❤❤
Heard more than 500 times, literally. Still never gets old.
You create musical magic with passion and skill. I love your left hand walking bass to complement the melody and improvisation in Autumn Leaves. A delightful arrangement of a classic to enjoy.
You are a blessing. Your smile and the vibrance brightened up a rather sad day of mine.
너어무 좋다....진행 루틴이 진짜 가려운곳 긁어주는거같이 내취향이네....피르가즘 제대로 느끼고갑니다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
There certainly are a lot of wonderful, positive comments on this video - all well deserved! I've watched this maybe 10 or 12 times. Not sure - this maybe the very first Lounge Series video I ever watched. It won't be the last.
"Misty" is simply the best. 😎❤❤
(checked the date - I started watching Sangah around Halloween 2019 with her Beatles compilations so I think this lounge video may have been the first. It is special ❤)
Awesome Steve! Like all of us we return because these gems are so beautiful to listen to while working or cooking. Have a beautiful Sunday!
@@LisaRSArt Watched this again just last night, I kid you not!! LOL!
Have a beautiful Sunday as well!! 😎❤👍
@@stevem8149 ohsome Steve. I believe you completely! Yay! 👍🏼❤️🎶💯🎹😊
I love how you make your music interesting with variations to rhythm, voicing, volume, etc. You teach me something new just by listening to you play.
Happy to hear that Robert! ❤️👍🏻😉
i love the way you smile and seem so free and open when you play. it really sucks me in and enjoy the music even more. thank you! 🙏
Hello Lisa, great to see you here, see you in about 5 hours again. Have a nice afternoon while I go to sleep 👋😴
It'll take a few more to get this to 1M views but I'll certainly do my part, lol!!! 😎❤👊
@@stevem8149 it will but in 2-3 months it will be so cool. 👍🏼😍. Thank you.
I watch this a lot while I'm working. It's great. I'm view number 767,969, so I'm not the only one who thinks so.
@@justmoose6534 awesome 👏 😎✌️👊🏼😍. Thanks Mike!
I love this song. And thank you very much for playing the beautiful piano. And I don't respect to whom that usually can not play the piano but have given inverted thumbs.
Such tasteful playing. Avoids deadly temptation of cramming as many notes in as technique makes possible.
Your expression of enjoyment just makes me smile as you play.
As someone who mainly plays classical piano, I am so jealous of what you jazz pianists can do. I would love to be able to improvise like you and play such lovely and relaxing music.
Music tehory
Practice, practice, practice. It's like a different language. Listen to jazz piano, learn jazz theory, and practice. I was classically trained and eventually made the switch to playing primarily improvisational jazz piano, which I love. Get a fake book and have at it!
The first improvisation after Autumn Leaves is I Wanna Talk About You! Such an amazing piece, and an incredible pianist.
While listening, you inspire me to "find something new" on my guitar. You are simply cool & sweet when you do it! So
"keep doing what you do best".
Thank you Mark! Have a great week! ❤️👍🏻😉
Bravo!
It’s pure jazz! Keep on improvising, I’m sure one day you’ll leave your name in jazz history.
wish i lived nearby!!!…..soothes the soul…..can imagine how hearing it live would do wonders.
11:04 to 11:14 kills me everytime. Simply delightful
I am honored to see you playing piano Ms. Noona. Keep doing what you love because we love to listen to your music. I wish I can play like that.🎶❤️
love it when you dance with your own melody you made, super natural
