interesting overview, thanks. Do you think 10.1kg is about right for a winter bike? I'd be interested to know if you thought that the wheels/Tiagra were the 'weak link' here, and maybe a cost effective/easy upgrade and weight reduction. Ta

Wheels your not going to save loads of weight on unless you spend £££, cranks set you could trim weight down with ultegra or similar. The rear cassett and chain could also trim more weight own

Disc brakes are the reason for much of the weight, the whole frame and forks have to be strengthened on top of the weight of the discs.
