  • Hi, I'm Milly and this is my vlog which is mainly about books I buy, books I read and the e-books I write. Plus some of my bakes and a bit about my new hobby - crochet
A super fantasy incorporating magical books. We have time travel, books, danger, violence. A great read.

I loved it - and the idea of a book taking you anywhere - but then again, that's what they do, don't they?

I thought it was a super book about the power of books - with fantasy and danger thrown into the mix

Suggest a few books for beginners to start reading

Wow - this is such a difficult question as there are some genres that I don't spend a lot of time with. For a Sci Fi, one that I really loved was a YA by Patrick Ness - More Than This. For crime/thriller - cosy crime I would say Ricahard Osman and for something quite brutal and gory - MJ Arlidge or Jo Nesbo. Dystopian - George Orwell 1984 and Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven. Then there are the classics of course, Tale of Two Cities and Jayne Eyre. Contemporary novels - Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and A Man Called Ove. Reading is such a personal thing, it is always hard to suggest books because my tastes might not be the tastes of others. I hope I've been of some use.
