Wow - Great reaction men! I'm 72 years old and have been a Sabbath follower for 55 years and amazing to get your feelings of this band. Put yourself in my position for a moment and imagine for a moment a 15-year-old kid in Chicago's hood smoking pot, drinking beer and playing with the babes all while this Sabbath band is blasting away. My take then is much like yours today. These guys are the pioneers of metal, and this plus their next five albums are pure fire! 🔥🔥🔥
Geezer Butler the bassist wrote some great haunting lyrics of the tragic effects of heroin addiction, and such a killer groove to the music itself. I particularly love Bill Wards drumming on this track as well, very underrated. Everyone hits on all cylinders in this song.
“Sabbath bloody sabbath”, “The Wizard”, “N.I.B.”, “Snowblind”, “Faeries wear boots”, “Iron Man”, “Paranoid” are all iconic Black Sabbath songs worth checking out. 👍🔥 You guys should also check out The Who. I’d recommend the song “Love Reign O’er Me” 🔥
You 2 fellas are on a cool journey with the music. Nothing today compares to the rock of the 70’s and 80’s. You are gonna be amazed at what you gonna hear. All Black Sabbath is amazing.
Geezer tells the story that very early on they did gigs at a US Army base in Germany that was a halfway house for returning wounded and disturbed troops that had served in Vietnam. He said they were horribly broken and many addicted.
Black Sabbath is iconic! They definitely have some music that makes you wanna fight or is good workout playlist material. The riffs are just so dirty and grungy and Bill Ward on the drums beat them like they owe him money! Hell, the guitarist doesn’t even have any fingertips! These guys were on a different level and Ozzy Osbourne well obviously speaks for himself! I was about four years old when I watched my dad put on Black Sabbath paranoid album and I’ve been a fan ever since! They are bad ass and they are the original heavy metal!
I just requested this one then saw y'all did a reaction already!! You guys aren't messing around. Love it ❤ Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are also top notch rock bands. So much great music from the past. Keep on rockin' guys🤘
Okay youngbloodz you gained another subscriber!!! I just am enjoying your comments on this music, the fact that you're into it totally, you seem very sincere about your enjoyment and love of what you're hearing!! You guys look like you're probably in your early twenties at the VERY MOST, so imagine if you'd heard this music 10 years ago in your life when you were about 12 or 13!?? I was fortunate enough to have experienced EXACTLY THAT!!!😮 Might I suggest that you go back and listen to some of the tracks they had on their first album!! And take the journey kind of chronologically!! I do see that you have reacted to Sweet leaf which is from the third album I'm definitely going to watch that one!!
Ok guys.. you're hooked.. now.. you're going to get a lot of requests for "fairies wear boots".. but don't do it alone.. there is a song called "rat salad" that is supposed to be played along with it .. make sure you do them both together.. If you want to hear the most insane drum line ever do a song they did called "symptom of the universe".. And once you think you can handle an ass kicking do the entire second side of the first self titled Black Sabbath album... It is almost like just a single long song the way it comes back on itself... I promise it will melt your brain and make your ears bleed.
OK, sticking with the Paranoid album, do Electric Funeral next, it leads into Hand of Doom on the album and is another killer track. Black Sabbath, first and still best Heavy Metal Band ever. Not only that but for me, top 10 Rock Band, period, regardless of genre. They kick butt into infinity, they will listen to them centuries from now. As Dope as it gets, Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
Might be heavy metal but you can really hear the jazz influence in their music (especially on Wards drum fills) on these early albums. it's ageless music. Thank you for covering 🙏
I love the way you love music, brothers. You won't go wrong with any of these early Sabbath cuts. Avoid the Dio era, turns into cheese. Classic Pink Floyd is real AF too; check out "Time" as a no-going-back intro to Pink Floyd.
Planet Caravan and the live version of War Pigs 1970 Paris. You've never seen drumming like that. I grew up with this and it's so much fun watching your reactions. It makes me smile. Love and Peace to Everyone, Everywhere.
They take you on a journey, through the different stages of addiction, from feeling good to death. War Pigs, The Wizard, N.I.B., the list goes on.... If you like drums, Rat Salad is an instrumental with a drum solo in the middle.
Used to play this in clubs back in the late 70's. I never realized how much music we performed which had ZERO dance applications. Much later (25 years) rock music that girls could dance to was the focus. It was basic business 101. Play music the girls like and they will come. Have a lot of girls coming to the shows and the guys will come. Everyone wins. 'Head Music' is for drugs and the privacy of one's own home.
I'm 51 grew up listening to this stuff OGs but if you want time signatures you gotta plug into some Tool. Make your heads explode what they do. Their drummer is regarded as one of the best alive.
I haven't commented on your previous Black Sabbath videos, but I've seen them and enjoyed them! While Black Sabbath was the first heavy metal band, that doesn't mean they only made metal. Check out "Planet Caravan" or "Solitude". Also, if you want some great music from today, check out King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. I know their name's goofy, but they're probably the best modern band. "Dragon" and "Catching Smoke" would be my two picks for them, but they're diverse as hell, so that's a difficult decision.
I grew up in the 80s and I know what you mean about how today's music isn't the same. But, there is one band that I've listened to over the past 20 years that I think DO incorporate transitions and musicianship like some of the greats. That band is Avenged Sevenfold. Check them out.
Personal favorite Sabbath song, closly followed by Heavan and Hell (I - know, I - Know not Ozzy, but Dio, come on, top 3 metal vocalists of all time.).
8:38 first time I've seen one of the guys throw up the horns 🤘 Just some fun info, it has nothing to do with devil-worship (so keep rocking out), quite the opposite in fact! It was popularized in heavy metal by Ronnie James Dio of the band Rainbow (he later joined Black Sabbath to replace Ozzy as the vocalist) as a sign he learned from his grandma to ward off 'the evil eye'. There's always going to be a lot of "who did it first" discussion, but just thought I'd share this fun little bit of info, rock on dudes!
Y’all are blowing it ,,,there are true live versions of most of the songs you’ve done and videos that make the music more poignant….. War pigs live 1970 ….look it up and SEE the INTENSITY!
Good start. Now try some Devo: Whip It, B-52s: Rock Lobster, Lynryd Skynyrd: Ballad of Curtis Lowe, Freebird Live 77, Temptations: Papa Was A Rolling Stone, and last but not least Hank Williams Jr.; Country Boy Can Survive, Johnny Cash: Hurt. And Ray Stevens: Mississippi Squirrel Revival to round it off.
Good stuff guys, you really do need to hear their first song, "Black Sabbath". It starts out like an old horror film, a rainstorm, thunder and bells tolling in the background. Then it goes into the heavy riffs, here's a link ruclips.net/video/zBj4HtEWFGY/видео.htmlsi=gvctC2wF7nmrla1F
I love Black Sabbath, but they did not single-handedly birth heavy metal. A lot of bands contributed, not to mention the blues artists who spawned rock n' roll in the first place. Black Sabbath would definitely get a trophy, but not the only trophy. I'm gonna suggest Into The Void again.
Dude (sorry if offensive) could not agree more, but Sabbath serves as the best entry point in my opinion (not that anyone should give a shit about a nobodies opinion like mine).
Agree with both of you, they are the first, true heavy metal band BUT their are many who contributed to get there, Sabbath just took all the heavy influences into a new genre. You can make a case Link Wray is the very entry point, influencing Jimmy Page and Tony Iommi.
Art and music being removed from school curriculum is why music is the way it is today. Children no longer have the opportunity to see if they are naturally talented musicians.
check out the "war pigs live in Paris" video,,,, they kill it live !!!!!! more sabbath and check out blue oyster cult , my 2 favorite bands. keep it up young bloods...........ill be listening !
Hey I wanted to let you know, if you’re having trouble uploading Led Zeppelin videos, especially lives try printing copyright text across it. They are very protective of their music, but if you do that we can still see, & you should be able to upload it.
Took me several listens at high school age for the story to come together for me. Till then it was like a haunted house: a scary line would pop out now and then. I think parents that bothered to listen at all tended to pick up the same bits but never returned to understand.
More Sabbath!! Check out "Into the Void" and "Fairies Wear Boots"
Into the Void - Rushmore Sabbath for sure!
Agreed
I been listening to Sabbath for 40 years now and it's so cool to see people experience it for the first time. Puts a big smile on my face.
I haven't listened to this album in maby 40 years, and I forget how good it is, never mind watching some kids discover it for the first time.
With Sabbath you can never go wrong . Brilliant band , all 4 members one of the kind . Keep rocking !!!
Welcome to Black Sabbath, fathers of metal.
Wow - Great reaction men! I'm 72 years old and have been a Sabbath follower for 55 years and amazing to get your feelings of this band. One of my all time favorite tracks
Geezer Butler the bassist wrote some great haunting lyrics of the tragic effects of heroin addiction, and such a killer groove to the music itself. I particularly love Bill Wards drumming on this track as well, very underrated. Everyone hits on all cylinders in this song.
You dudes are beginning an epic journey into some classic tracks and I'm here for it, subbed for sure.
Riff kings Fire. 🔥. This album changed my life. 😅
It is SO much fun to see people discover new good music.
I’d recommend the song “Love Reign O’er Me” 🔥
wait until you find out where your hiphop beats came from
Back in the day...We didn't play when it came to heavy AF music. So glad to see you guys loving it!.
You 2 fellas are on a cool journey with the music. Nothing today compares to the rock of the 70’s and 80’s. You are gonna be amazed at what you gonna hear. All Black Sabbath is amazing.
Deep Purple - Hard Lovin' Man. It's proto-thrash metal from 1970, another band from England.
Geezer tells the story that very early on they did gigs at a US Army base in Germany that was a halfway house for returning wounded and disturbed troops that had served in Vietnam. He said they were horribly broken and many addicted.

Into the void next
Yes definitely.
So cool you guys are just starting out and doing a deep dive into Sabbath! Rock on!
Can’t wait to see the reaction to planet caravan
The entire Paranoid album is all bangers. Also Planet Caravan is fire and you’d never guess it was Sabbath.
I just requested this one then saw y'all did a reaction already!! You guys aren't messing around. Love it ❤
Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are also top notch rock bands. So much great music from the past. Keep on rockin' guys🤘

Okay youngbloodz you gained another subscriber!!! I just am enjoying your comments on this music, the fact that you're into it totally, you seem very sincere about your enjoyment and love of what you're hearing!!

Really dig your takes on these classic tracks. Fairies Where Boots and NIB are strong candidates for next songs to check out
Ok guys.. you're hooked.. now.. you're going to get a lot of requests for "fairies wear boots".. but don't do it alone.. there is a song called "rat salad" that is supposed to be played along with it .. make sure you do them both together..

If you want to know who the singer is, it's Ozzie Osborne from 'The Osbornes' reality TV fame.
Metal is all about transitions gentlemen, these guys pretty much invented it.
Might be heavy metal but you can really hear the jazz influence in their music (especially on Wards drum fills) on these early albums. it's ageless music. Thank you for covering 🙏

Loving the Black Sabbath reactions lads. I would like to add Children of the Grave and After forever to the list I gave you.
COG - Rushmore alternate, unique drum techniques on that one.
Planet Caravan and the live version of War Pigs 1970 Paris. You've never seen drumming like that. I grew up with this and it's so much fun watching your reactions. It makes me smile. Love and Peace to Everyone, Everywhere.
The wizard. Debut album
Fairies Wear Boots
I second that 🤘
THIRD 🎉
If you like this, you'll probably like Deep purple with Ian Gillan on vocals from the same era. Check out Child in time live from 1970.
They take you on a journey, through the different stages of addiction, from feeling good to death. War Pigs, The Wizard, N.I.B., the list goes on.... If you like drums, Rat Salad is an instrumental with a drum solo in the middle.

When this album dropped, we were asking if anyone knows what planet it came from.
Sabbath "Into the Void" studio version, please 🤘
Personal favorite Sabbath song, closly followed by Heavan and Hell (I - know, I - Know not Ozzy, but Dio, come on, top 3 metal vocalists of all time.).

Y’all are blowing it ,,,there are true live versions of most of the songs you’ve done and videos that make the music more poignant…..
War pigs live 1970 ….look it up and SEE the INTENSITY!
you need to start with the first song off the first album. The song Black Sabbath from the album Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath.
You should do the title track "Paranoid" - it's a classic.

Art and music being removed from school curriculum is why music is the way it is today.

Y’all just totally ignoring the lyrics, the sad story being told. It’s over your heads.
Took me several listens at high school age for the story to come together for me. Till then it was like a haunted house: a scary line would pop out now and then. I think parents that bothered to listen at all tended to pick up the same bits but never returned to understand.
It's a lot to take in . I didn't get to listen to the lyrics much either when I first heard Sabbath... Give them a minute to digest it ..
