The best part is ingenuity... You're expression were perfect and not scripted... I loved your way of delivering the speech. You're great in delivering exactly what the title says. Thank You for sharing your knowledge!! All the Best for your journey!!! 🙂
I want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH! In all the RUclips videos I've viewed on this topic, your version is the simplest and easiest to understand. Thank you again for the simpler points and clarity! God Bless
Thanks for the video. Regarding the weird problems with Inkscape (like objects disappearing), I have noticed is just a "rendering" issue. As soon as I zoom in/out, I see the images back as they are supposed to be rendered. That used to happened to me in 1.1 version but now with 1.2, it's seems to be a pretty solid software. It's really an amazing open source tool. Kudos for the developers and people creating tutorials!
You cleared up part of my problem with the current version (.092) although I am still having trouble remembering what I've done, what I need to do, and what order... I think I just need to slow down, write down what I've done, and write down the results. I know that just a few of my successes have shown me that I really have a ton of ideas of things I can do, just using the mask and clip functions. I will keep trying. Thank you for helping.
Thank you for this video. I couldn't figure out how to clip a photo. I was trying "command -" and nothing. This helped me so much! I added it to my inkscape playlist.
This is exactly what i wanted! Other tutorials are just talking about eraser. Luckily i found your video. And your explanation is very clear and simple. Keep it up!
Like your style! QQ, if you wanted to make the clip permanent, how would I do that. I typically need to union a clipped object with other objects and create paths but everytime I do, the hidden stuff comes back. CNC Plasma. Thanks in advance!
can you do inverse(LPE) on jpeg picture(the cat)? i don't think so because i try many times and not working. Set inverse only work on object you draw not the imported jpeg photo.
Mind clipping doesn’t go the way to you explain . It works the first time but it did do it second time. I do it at the same layer, and raise the picture cookie cutter on top and clip set but it doesn’t work
I see how to create a mask, but for the life of me, I can't imagine what it's for. Is it just to lend transparency to an area? Is there a way that the two functions can be combined to make a clipping mask like you have in photoshop, which enables you to single out a specific area to make it untouchable if you draw over it?
Mask Use two color to represent condition of transparency. it like clipping but can handle transparent.. you can edit preference of this feature in the LPE Menu but to activate it you must masking the Group object not regular object... if this succes the menu PowerMask will Active
haha i love the casual style of the vid. Beautifully educational and entertaining!
Cookie cutter analogy was very good. It helped me to get the concept perfectly.
I like how you carried on even though you ran into unexpected issues. Very professional. Great job.

grup the object first before clipping. you can use the LPE CLIP like non-destructive boolean
Excellent

Good one
My instance of INKSCAPE doesn't do gradient masking. :-(
The code must be broken. Maybe reinstalling helps...
Cookie cutter is always on top :D
