Hard jazz? Do you stuff your ears and nose with popcorn daily? What are you talking about? Obviously you haven't heard that one scale (yes, 1 scale ms hard jazz lol) Try playing the triangle decently and then talk about music.. smh....
what a time we live, that we can discover a player this good just shredding at home. I knew a guy in the 90's who was a hermit virtuoso, no acclaim except in local legend, and I somehow found him to take private lessons from him. Aldo was his name, and is still one of the 10 best players I've ever heard, famous or not. I wish everyone could have heard him play. At least now guys like this can be exposed for the immense talent they have.
I grew up with a guy who had (still has) an amazing amount of natural talent, great ears and awesome technique. But he had no desire to be famous, enjoyed racing cars more than playing guitar, got married and fathered 2 sons but still plays. The same monster tone, same chops but prefers to play for his own enjoyment and teaching his sons to play. Some of them doesn't even want the exposure, i would if i was that great but not everyone does.
I mean fame only comes to those that are met with the opportunity to chase it. You can go your whole life being the greatest guitarist on the planet, but if you don't meet the right people or go to the right places, you wouldn't make it anywhere.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the current times we live in. There’s always been prodigy’s and virtuosos, we just see more of them now due to the Internet.
So much note value and melodic colour... Phenomenal phrasing... That solo is a masterpiece. One of the greatest things I've ever heard on a guitar. Props.
@@aelechkono exaggeration. This level of technique, clarity and harmonic sophistication is exceptionally rare. It’s not just how he’s playing because to place in this kind of contest, chops are a given. What separated this one from the pack was what he was playing and how he laid it over the track. It’s one thing to throw hard bop over the canvas; it’s another to make it sound completely at home.
@@aelechkonope, based on the chops and harmonic complexity on display here and the improvisational ability that I’ve seen him display in other clips, it’s not an exaggeration to say that he’s better than 99% of “pro” guitarists out there. This is of course contingent on what constitutes a “pro” player. Nonetheless, think about how many people play guitar. That number is probably somewhere in the tens of millions. Am I comfortable asserting that there are not 100,000 better players around the world? Absolutely. If you define “pro” as someone who has generated income with his/her playing, I’d argue that there’s a sizable pool there and I think he probably would still clear that bar. Now if you’re classifying a “pro” as someone who makes a viable living solely through guitar, it’s 2023 my dude; there are only a handful of guys in that position.
That bit from about 0:21 to that transition to the speedier run around 0:30 that just when you think hes going to some other sweep picking, boring shred...he slows it back seamlessly again. That was next level. Tempo master right here
The notes just fly out of the guitar like daggers. unbelievable talent, ive listened 6 times in a row and i will definitely listen again. reminds me a lot of frederik thordendal's best solos but you really make it your own man just literally amazing.
Super high technical skill and musically you can hear that he's shifting around in different modes and scales, very expressive and most of all sounds great. Hope you win!

Really very beautiful playing! Very Technical as you'd imagine a contest winner should be - Kudos!! However a truly incredible dynamic, and passionate performance! Congratulations
God dayum! This solo is a rollercoaster of amezeballs with a heavy dose of wtf! The speed changes, the expression and the beeeeeeennndss... omg. Nothing but excellence here. 🔥🔥🔥
