    I have the CPO Indigo black sulfur Overdyed 18oz. Its a tank, I love it. It feels like I am wearing a welder's apron as a shirt. At the same time its soft and moves well with me. I am going to be buried with that shirt, cause its not coming off of my body.

    I usually take an XL in Ironheart. I got this in XXL and glad I did. An XL wouldnt have fit. Ref: 6'3" 205lbs 43in chest and broad shoulders

    IH sleeves are always an issue! Especially if you are muscular since you have to size up then you have pants for arms and gotta add hemming to the price.

      Agreed, I have a fair amount of IH items, but getting the right fit Is difficult. I struggle across the width of my back.

    Great review as usual Cam, your real world vids are fantastic and helpful. Funny, I’m about the same size as you (a bit taller at 6’2” -180 lbs, 42” chest) and I go with XXL in IH western cuts. I guess it’s all in how you want the shirts to fit. FWIW, a very well known leather jacket maker once told me that if you’re working with a good pattern, you can easily size up and it should always look good.

    Disappointed to hear of the long sleeves. I’ve been wanting to try some Iron Heart stuff, but seems the sleeves would be an issue. Sleeves being too long is a pet peeve of mine, and it seems like some brands expect you to be a size small if you’re under 6ft to have a proper arm length.
    I’m 5’10”, 165ish. Large american retail brands (like JCrew) in a medium tend to have the proper length, but man are some heritage type brands an issue.
    Gustin? Yikes. It seems their average model for a size medium is 6’4”, 150lbs. I have one work shirt from them that’s beautiful, but ugh, the arms and body are so long, I need to just give it to a tall friend.
    I live a couple hours from Iron Shop Provisions. Have considered taking a road trip there, trying on sizing of every brand they have there, writing down what works. (And obviously buy some stuff if I’m going to put some unfortunate employee through that).

    Im waiting for their 12 oz indigo work shirt, im still thinking about whether i should get plain or wabash. If Iron heart should create is an oxford collared button down in white and light blue

    I’ve got the Indigofera Copeland in black which may be another good option for a similar black shirt, although it is inbetween a shirt and a jacket

    I don´t know if it is also about the black dye and the sizing... The black overdyed CPO 18oz is also trimmer and smaller than a comparable indigo western shirt (in my experience. I have both). Then, I have a 777 21oz in indigo and the same size in in indigo/black (so with sulfur dye): the indigo/black is clearly trimmer too. I don´t know...

    Reat review, looks awesome. I got this same one recently but indigo overdyed black, with white snaps. I really love it, but was surprised it fits more snug than most of my others. I feel like anything heavy overdyed must shrink up a bit, but then again I should have looked closer to measurements. Still fits great but afraid to wash now, lol.

    Fantastic shirt! I received mine last Monday and I love it. To my surprise it is less rigid than my recently bought very rigid 14oz Nudie Jeans dry ace selvage Jonas shirt. The 295-bb shirt is one washed, which makes quite a difference in feel.

    I just picked up a month ago the IHSH-338-BLK same fabric as the Johnny Cash western. Love it with my black pants. You are right the fabric is a hair magnet.

      You're the same height and 15lbs more than me. I can get away with XXL on an IH western. You might be OK with XXXL. Sort of depends how big you are in the shoulders. Best bet is get to Rivet and Hide and try one

    I have the johnny cash western and love it, probably my favorite western shirt I own. I think the cut on the johnny cash shirt is a little less trim but it did shrink some with a warm soak. Either way you can't go wrong, both are amazing shirts. Great video, always enjoy your stuff!

    I asked in the IH forum what it makes it so special in general. Most of them named the comunity or the good servie. These things are good advertisement. Emotion sells. But it says nothing bout the quality, cuts or what makes IH so special in general. At the end the threat was locked by the admin. obviously I asked too many questions.

      To be fair, I just gave it a try based off their great reputation and the fact I like heritage style clothing, but the quality is really good. Their 14oz selvedge Black/Black Type III I own looks great, feels great and fits great and I even got some compliments from people. So I guess others can tell it's high quality too.
      The other thing that got me hooked is their customer support and shipping. That jacket was the first IH product I ever ordered, so I was asked via Email to please measure a similar jacket I own and get back to them. I did and voiced some concern about the shoulder width and the guy actually went through the XL and XXL jackets they had in stock and measured them all to find the two jackets that were closest in size (one XL and the other XXL) because he knew I wanted an XL but could probably wear that XXL. Told him I want to stick with that XL so he confirmed the order. Package went out 2 hours later and was already through British and German customs by 3 am the next day. The purchase, entire Email exchange and that bit of the shipping process happpened within slightly more than 12 hours.

    i am pretty sure some of you aren´t share my point of view. but in my opinion IH is commercial heritage clothes. there are shops all over the world like Germany, Britain. Even the cuts are average style. There´s nothing special about it. And none of the best trademarks like Samurai Jeans, Oni Denim, Pure Blue Japan for example have stores. And those are much more harder to get in comparison to IH.
    But it looks very well on you Cameron. Hope you have a lot of fun to wear it. Peace.

      Having distribution makes a brand commercial now? It's not any harder to get those other brands, especially in North America. And the only people who care about others having a brand they wear is people with no style who need it to feel different. Also need more details on how there is "nothing special" about IH products and cuts compared to those others. ONI fabric sure but other than that?

    • @LarsLenningerJansen
      @LarsLenningerJansen 7 месяцев назад

      I think the style of IH fits well to northern Americans. IH has filled a gap between american made clothes and heritage clothes Made in Japan. To me as a European ONI, PBJ and Samurai are more vintage inspired clothes.

      Im not really sure what the criticism is here

    • @LarsLenningerJansen
      @LarsLenningerJansen 7 месяцев назад

      @@lt3880 maybe I criticize the hype. Older companies have different denims, cuts and are much more harder to get here in Europe.
      IH has nothing special. Weather the denim nor the cuts. It’s just a new player and people love it for wich reason?

    • @LarsLenningerJansen
      @LarsLenningerJansen 7 месяцев назад

      @@RLStefflerI think non-distribution makes heritage clothes so special and the quality and the cuts as well

    Great looking shirt.. I have the Johnny Cash version, but unfortunately it doesn't get a lot of wear. I find It a bit too restrictive for casual wear. Unfortunately I cannot wear these shirts to work, and whenever I'm off I usually gravitate towards some of my looser fitting more comfy shirts.. Also for some reason I can't really find out what season to wear it. In the cooler months it's much nicer with a warm flannel, and in the warmer months it always seems to get too warm.. I can't get myself to sell it though, I like it too much. After watching this video, I will try to wear it more often😄

    Ironheart is too small. They need to wake up to the new sizes. There is a reason all the big sizes sell out instantly

      The fact that my chest is a xxxxl in iron heart insane to me. I'm nervous to pull the trigger on one of their flannels bc I'm worried about shoulders and arms being too small
