I purchased the 2022 CX-30 CE AWD about 6 weeks ago. it actually looks a lot better in person that what you see in pics/videos. It also looked a lot better once I (matte) blacked out the front chrome grill trim & the lower side windows chrome trim, as well as blacking out the recessed lower hatch painted triangular area where license mounts with the same 3M matte black vinyl. Gives it more of an aggressive black vs paint contrast & "post-apocalypse" sort of vibe, especially with that thick, generically-uniform black cladding being what it is. I also added a customized aftermarket lower intake grill to entire gaping lower front opening that matches the upper grill pattern, & it looks so much better & more finished that way. It also should be noted that the front/back seats in-person are a nice deep, rich burgundy/wine color - NOT red. But, they show more as red for some reason in photo/videos.
You should definitely upload a vid showing the work you've done, or at least the front black out you did. I definitely want that to be the first change I make but I have no clue how to even do it.
any way to black out the large Mazda grill logo. Can't stand any logos on front grill and would black out the back one also. can it be painted? I think the camera is located on it but carefully paint around it without disturbing the camera. what do you think?
@@markzimmer1486 I hear you I understand however I don't think it should be more money I don't think the looks justify the price like my red cx-30 was $500 more they charge more for the red color so does a few other manufacturers like when I bought my 06z06 Corvette it was sunset orange that was stunning color unfortunately the makers know that too they charge you more money for that color as well but I think it was worth it for those colors but this color I think it looks boring neutral color. If you're in a parking lot with this car no one's going to look at it like the eye popping colors on the red or the sunset orange that's my point
I agree the red is great. My wife has a 21 miata in soul red and its worth every penny of the extra cost on that car. She had a 16 CX5 in the old soul red as well, the new color is so much better..i think its called soul red crystal now. I agree about the carbon edition color, not the best color by far. It changes on lighting looking grey to a slate blue. But the carbon edition is a package, not just the paint. I know it has dark red leather seats and other options as well. Im not a huge fan of the color (it was the only Cx-30 available in Cincinnati when I bought it, lol) but love the car so far. Very premium feel to it for the price.
We just purchased a CX-30 Carbon Edition and ours is navigation ready...we would have to pay extra if we wanted it, however, we just use Android Auto because 1) it's free...2) the maps are updated frequently - for free.
I own Mazda CX30 2022 turbo and has two main issues. One, do not even dare to touch the plastic screen that covers the speedometer. It is also called entertainment cluster screen or whatever. It is made of cheap, extremely cheap, quality that prone to scratches. Second, 12.7 gallons tank capacity. It is a beautiful car and drives smooth and fast.
@@DTYY941 , the short answer is not and you should only use high compressed air can. I used a freaking microfiber cloth, which is extremely soft and is used for eyeglasses and a liquid specifically for eyeglasses, TVs, and others it still scratched it. Despite of applying the liquid on the cloth first and running it very carefully without pressing it, it still scratched it.
@@JohnnyUkeOfficial there’s also a SD card slot in there for the navigation card. They moved everything inside the center console including the 12v plug.
Oh my goodness I think it's ugly love my 2022 cx30 red with chrome wheels that color with black wheels are ugly. And to pay more for the carbon Edition no thank you.

Isn't this a base trim with upgraded seats and tires?
No. Base 2.5 S trim has; cloth seats, single HVAC control system, no blind spot, no rear center armrest, and no rear cross traffic alert.
I got this now,but wondering why no lift gate button both front next to the driver seat and back up the trunk??🤔🤔😭😭😭😢😢😢
does it come with navigation or do you need to pay extra

Use Google Maps and it works great
I use Google maps on my phone but the car does have navigation but you have to purchase the navigation SD card for it to work.
The dealer will charge you about $500 for the SD card but you can buy one on Amazon for about $50 and it works perfectly.
You don't need navigation Android phone with Google Navigation

The thick plastic around wheel wells and lower threshold (angled) looks terrible
The sun will make it look faded in time. My recommendation is to ceramic coated when it’s new to give it a gloss shine and UV protection.
With that color it blends well and as someone who now owns the Carbon, it's all good
Does this have bose speakers?
no
our dealer said it was discontinued bc of the chip shortage
Is there a Active driving display?
There isn't,wondering neither
where is the black chrome trim?!?! What a wasted opportunity. CX-5 gets black chrome

inside the center console there are 2

awesome!
why is mazda's paint so thin? are they really cheaping out on the paint? It chips so easily
Is this made in Japan?
The engine and transmission are made in Japan. Most models are assembled in Mexico. Not good IMO but the Engine and tranny are the most critical.
How's the gas mileage on it is it really a gas guzzler??🤔
I’m getting 35mpg. I drive between 55-65 to work on a us highway
