    for question 8 can you just plug into the calculator with a stored value and see which matches up?

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад +1

      You totally can! But remember you are under a time limit so if you can start solving using long division you will reach your answer faster, especially since the answer choices are different.

    Hi! I enjoyed this video as a last-minute study session but I am confused on one thing. When I plugged the expression into my calculator, (22:05) I got a decimal. How did you convert the decimal to a square root? You did the same thing at (22:33). Thank you so much for the video it was super helpful

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you so much for your comment! So on your calculator there isn't necessarily a way to convert from decimal to square root but when you do - square root of 2 and then put it to the sixth power you will get 8 and then just bring down the square root of 6. Also, after getting your answer as a decimal, you could plug into your calculator all of your options and see which one matches (I start with 3 because it's right in the middle). Let me know if that helps!

      @@LearningwithHaneen Hi I don't get this part, I sat for an hour trying to figure out how to calculate the square root equation. So did you do it with a calculator?

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад

      @@musaffakahn5526 so first you multiply both the numerator and denominator by √6. Then you have -2√3 times √6 which simplifies to -2√18 (numerator) When you simplify √18 you get √9 times √2 and then simplify √9 to get 3. So now you have -2*3 = -6 and you put the remaining √2 (numerator). For your denominator √6 * √6 = √36 = 6. Altogether you have -6√2 / 6 and you will get -√2 (-6/6=-1 and you bring down √2) Let me know if that makes sense.

    Hey, for question 7, how did you go from (-2x)^2 to 4x^2?

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад +1

      So (-2)^2 equals 4 and then (x)^2 equals x^2 together they equal 4x^2. Does that make sense?

    i dont get question 7.. How did know that quadrant 2 is (-x,y) ??

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад

      So in quadrant 2 of your coordinate grid, x is negative and y values are positive that is why we eliminated the first answer choice because (1,-2) isn't in the second quadrant. Does that clarify it?

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад

      Then you substitute -2x for y in x^2+y^2 to get your possible values of x which are either -1 or +1 and you eliminate answer choice 2. Then to find the answer between 3 and 4 you substitute -1 into either equation to get your answer for y. Does that help?

    • @LearningwithHaneen
      @LearningwithHaneen  3 месяца назад

      Why if I may ask? To clarify you plug in both equations to the calculator and you find the x value at which they intersect, but you can't choose -1.9 because it doesn't fit the domain of t > 0 Hope this helps and thank you!
