hi i went my 2nd gc interview 2 months ago with my us citizen wife and officer ask me about 100 questions and than he ask 20 questions to my wife but after 20 questions she answer all the questions same as me and officer said okay i’m recommending for approval , everything was really smooth even the officer said you guys should go out and celebrate that , but i has been months since interview yet i haven’t heard anything back from the office , is that normal to take too long just to make decisions?

Do you have to let them in? One of the most basic things lawyers say is to not let the police inside without a warrant or an emergency

Good question. You can deny their entry but that might affect whether your case gets approved.

Thank you for what you do. Please, I’ve an interview in few days time. I’ve previously submitted an asylum application and I’m worried if my asylum application would be of concern as I go in for my marriage interview in few days time?
My spouse is currently on a government assist housing and I’m not on the lease. Every other documents we both have our names on them.
Please what do you think I should expect on the above 2 questions?

Go back to the place where u got it. Pay for a copy

You can usually obtain a certified copy by contacting the office that issued the marriage certificate.

Which green card will I receive if I have a CR1 visa and I will enter the US after my 2nd year of marriage? Can I convert it to IR1 at the time of entry?

I am married to a us citizen who is a nurse. We have 15 years of age Gap. I applied for my green card in sep 2023 and got interviewed in March 2024. I submitted lots of evidence such as lease with our names , bills with our names , loan from our joint bank account used on regular basis since we got married , photos , much more.
But prior to my this marriage case , I had submitted my asylum case in 2020 which still is pending and haven’t received anything about it.
But it’s been 6 weeks since I had my marriage based card interview in March 2024 and haven’t received any decision so far. However, the lady who conducted our interview told us to be patient with the decision.
What are the odds of USCIS officer giving us home visit ?
We were separated while our first interview and we messed up 2 or 3 questions in haste or confusion but we submitted lots of evidence and our joint bank is used on regular basis as a primary bank account

A request for evidence usually has little to do with the chances of approval. The request for evidence usually means that a document was missing.
