IIRC even with a luck of 8 you can win consistently enough to clean them out. Might be anything above 5 and the odds are in your favor

This is funny because each establishment actually has a finite amount of money and so they will actually kick you out for winning too much at their rigged casino games. Just like real Vegas really 😂
1:05 the ironic part about this is that Dragon Quest, the most popular game franchise in Japan specifically, is directly inspired by D&D. The creators loved the game and wanted to make the concept more pallatable to their region of the world. You can really feel that in early titles, but the series has drifted so far away in the past 38 years that we are back at square 1.

I'm not saying people CAN'T enjoy these things, I enjoy doing that from time to time. However, to say DnD is all about these things is categorically false. If that were true, we wouldn't have such great locations like Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate, and Neverwinter. Yes, there are memorable items within these stories, but in general you can remove the items and the stories within would hold firm.

There's a scene in one of the RPGs where she's dealing with a real crisis, and Bowser charges in oblivious to what's going on and tries to kidnap her. Peach's response is to casually bitch slap Bowser clear back to his castle on the opposite side of the continent they're on. She's definitely letting him take her whenever he kidnaps her because its just a vacation to her.

"Did we 'Flowers for Algernon' our tastebuds?" Was pretty memorable to me, since I'd been replaying Breath of Fire 2. There's a potato looking boss in it named Algernon. Very memerable boss for me, with how often I beat that game. So I ended up looking up the boss when I was younger, and found out that Algernon's name was chosen as a reference to that story.

@@havefeiththat's cool didn't know about the boss, but it's actually a novel about a man with substantially below average intelligence being given a serum to become a Superhuman genius. Eventually it all just fades away and there isn't a thing he can do about it. So it's having something great and it going away with nothing you can do about it.

One of the things that I like about the monster hunter games from the past couple of years is that their improving on the mount riding mechanics.
In Monster Hunter World Iceborne they gave us the ability to mount and ride small monsters, then in Monster Hunter Rise they gave us a big dog that we could ride on which was much better than the small monsters from the previous game, and now for Monster Hunter Wilds they're giving us this lizard chocobo thing to ride on.
I can't wait to explore this big new world that Capcom is making.
Another thing that raised the number of the MHW:IB players was the new MH:Now which was massively delayed with its release and should have been released within the maintainance of MHW:IB (Monster hunter x Pokemon Go for those that haven't heard of it)

2:11 To add some context. It isn't the score that is impressive, but the fact that the game crashed.
Until that point everyone playing it finished at being unable to proceed further would it be for speed or weird bugged level colors. Effectively, they lost. This dude played so well that the game itself broke and couldn't work anymore.
And yes, this game have some optimizations in the code which cause issues since it was never supposed to be played past level 30 or something. I don't recall exact level, but it reaches specific speed which nobody could play at for a while and devs thought nobody will ever could since you can't press buttons on controller fast enough with a normal grip. However, if you manage to get past that obstacle speed won't change any further, but eventually color palettes which supposed to switch around on a loop start to glitch and display bizzare colors and if you go far enough the game reach levels at which it may crash if you do somehting specific like: clear eactly 1 line to switch to the next level.
When it comes to removing text dialogues in games cuz reasons, a certain phrase always comes to my head. "Just let characters be characters."

@@havefeith Why did the guy look panicked every time he opened a game case but the game was inside? Right above every single game was a memory card holder, and in every single one of those game containers there was no save cartridge. The save cartridge was the most important part on a PS2 because without it you would have no game. You could play for a little while sure, but you couldn't save anything and any progress you wanted to make would be null and void. It was 100% the save cartridge that was missed during this whole ordeal.

No, that wasn't it. Usually you don't have a save cartridge per game, you can save several games on the same one.
What it was showing was the practice of when there's a disc in the console and you want to play a new game, people would just swap the discs (I.e. with game A's disc in the console and game B's disc in the game B box, you open the box, put the game B disc in the console and put game A's disc in the game B box because that's the one you have handy).
After a few iterations of this, if you wanted to replay a previous game it was an adventure to try to find which box the disc was in. And yes, it's dumb. But surprisingly common.

About Princess Peach being super stronk, if you look up her stats on the VS Battles Wiki site, you realize that Peach is certainly stronger than 2B, such that even if 2B's core programming didn't make her stop the moment Peach, a human, said no, well, Peach could still easily wrestle 2B to a stop and keep her there.
Fun Fact: Peach doesn't need to breathe, and thus can also stay underwater indefinitely. I did not know that. Ignoring her powerful White Mage powers (which includes telepathy, telekinesis and the general manipulation of various kinds of energy magic and mundane), she can levitate for a short time innately, has overall superhuman physical stats by default, is somewhat elastic such that blunt impacts probably won't hurt her and thus logically cannot easily be KO'd by a headshot, she can drag out her own emotions into powers that let her fly, release an aura of fire and make plants grow rapidly, her reflexes are fast enough to dodge lightning, and lastly her superhuman characteristics put her strength high enough that with a proper wind up she can hit something with sufficient force to send a one ton object flying at least a kilometer presuming the optimum launch angle for distance.
It's not random cases, it's the next game you are putting in. Then, you already have an empty case to put the CD you just popped out into.
