I like the Sporn no pull harness. The one with the mesh chest section, and the leads that constrict on the chest. The trick is to beat your dog to the punch, and give a sharp pull right before, and I mean a fraction of a second, they hit the end. My 1st, lab/husky, only hit the end once. My 2nd, sheperd/lab/terrier, needed an occassional reminder. My 8 month, border/aussie/heeler/hangin tree, needs an occassional reminder, but is responding well. Most of our walks require loose, one-finger contact on the leash. My lab/husky doesn't require a leash anymore. It's mostly for show, and when we go into stores. He's 12, been off leash since he was about 8 months.
My 30 lb dog does so well on a gentle leader the one that pulls their nose.. are there cons to that? I love the look of the aesthetic wild one harnesses but I was told they do not work for pulling.
Nice video. My 50# rescue likes to dart and pull, and I have had limited success with other types of no-pull harnesses. I'm going to give the Weiss a try,.
Thanks for the recommendations! we are still in search for a great harness for our 8 month old GSP. did you get the medium or the large for your boys ? And you trying to get the harness on your pups made me feel a lot better. I thought I was the only one who experienced absolute chaos lol
Hi! I have two questions. First question: whats the difference between a no pull harness and a regular harness? Second question: is the Carhartt harness any good? I think they sell it on Amazon!? lastly your my favorite RUclipsr!!!!!
You're so sweet!!! Theres alot of different harnesses - so I don't know much about the regular harnesses, but from looking at them it is how the leash is attached and how it fits the chest. I've never tried the Carhartt harness so I have no idea!
Derek Walker I’m so sorry! Summer is always a bit slower for me as I can’t take my dogs many places to be off leash with all the people around. Winter is our jam! But I’m hoping to get another one up yet today or later this week!
Tools aren't going to solve the problem on their own. No matter what you're using, you need to teach attention keeping and impulse control. Then teach them how to walk properly with whatever tool you're using. You can't expect them to know what to do just because they got a new harness. Yes, the front clip can help deter pulling but they don't actually understand why they need to stop pulling. Check out Upstate Canine Academy.
Here's a novel idea, train your dog not to pull. I had a Rottie x Doberman freak, 30 inches at the shoulder and over 140 pounds. You could take him out on a piece of string. He didn't pull, just walked at my side. You have to put the work in but it's well worth it and lasts a lifetime.
@@Tammy_Bashore It would have taken way less time. To put a halter on the dogs if they weren't jumping all over. I realize they are hunting dogs. And to bad you didn't take the dogs for a quick walk so we could see how and if they work ,,Have a great day, TY for your video .
The dogs being silly is part of who I am and the types of videos I make. If you want stuffy heavily trained content, I am not your gal as I am not a dog trainer. Just a dog owner helping other dog owners with what I’ve learned.
@@Tammy_Bashore there are always going to be people who find fault no matter what we do. Personally I just wouldn’t give them the time of day by replying to them. Takes way too much energy. Appreciating all your content I’ve come across so far 😃
Hahaha...I'm just loving their energy ❤️🐾

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check it out!
Those are happy, rambunctious puppies, that's how I like them. Bravo!
They’re the best!
Did you try the Blue-9 Balance Harness? Similar to the Freedom, but wont hurt your dog behind the legs
I haven’t heard of that one. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll definitely check it out!

I've never actually used one like that, so I'm not sure I could say if there are any cons. Sorry about that!
Try the halti no pull harness! I really works for me!
I will have to check that one out. Thanks for the suggestion!!
Wish there was more video of you actually walking the dogs in the no-pull harnesses.
I'll add that to my list of videos to make!
Keep looking ,there are some on here.

Good luck! Hope you find something that works for you
Lol my dogs get excited when I grab my keys or their leashes 🤣
Every single time!
Thank you!
Thanks for info
Thanks for watching!

LOL it can feel like a circus around here sometimes. I got the large in the Freedom No Pull harness.

Hilarious!
TRY THE GENTLE LEADERS.
will do! Thanks!
Adam Williamsen they are the best. Just took our GPS sometime to get used too, but no more pulling.
Miss ur videos!

@@Tammy_Bashore Awesome:)
Why no new videos?
Life happened. But I’m still here and have lots of plans coming up!
omy go get the one that pulls the dogs face dog when they pull. its stops them everytime. easy to train when they cant see if they pull.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Of course! I was merely showing the ones I have and what I do and don’t like about them.
🤣❤️
I think a prong collar is best option. Like you say there isn’t a harness that works even close to 100%
I'm not a fan of prong collars personally - but whatever works for you and your pup is great!

Here’s a novel idea, don’t be a jerk. You don’t know my situation.
@@Tammy_Bashore Ooh, touchy!
Not at all! Just don’t see why you need to be rude.
she should have brought out 1 dog at a time , and maybe train to sit /stay
I don’t NEED to do anything. My dogs are very well trained for the things they NEED to do.
