@@luigisyoshi487 That has nothing to do with his Cloud bias, and is an entirely unrelated issue. Max does indeed have a bias towards Cloud, but his rating of Omnislash is much more reasonable than the people saying Omnislash a copy of Great Aether -- especially since _Great Aether_ is a non-canon carbon copy of _Omnislash._ Much like how Wii Fit Trainer's final smash is like a horizontal PK Starstorm, but is considerably worse because it's also non-canon and doesn't reference anything (amusingly enough).
@@mythosinfinite6736 Carbon copy? Now slow down there, we know the moves are similar but you can't be blind enough to see both are different. Great Aether is more or less an upgraded Aether, consisting of a combination of kicks, slashes, and ending with the usual Aether move. He doesn't dance around the enemy, either. Instead, the Omnislash is a powerful combination of sword slashes all around the enemy. No kicks, but Cloud does dance around the enemy, and the attack hits less times. And if we're talking about relevance and referencing the games... Aether is Ike's signature move and has a small relevance in the plot of his games, being a Skill he has been developing over all the time he has trained. Not just that, the whole Great Aether thing is mostly inspired by the final battle of Radiant Dawn, where he is bathed by the power of Yune, goddess of chaos, giving him his distinct blue flames, and the power to deal the final blow. I simply think that there's nothing wrong with Omnislash inspiring Great Aether, despite the fact FF7 didn't create the sky soaring slash combos, and that it is also likely that they just made up a "better Aether" for the sake of it. This feeling of entitlement just because some people don't agree with one move being arbitrarily rated higher than the other...idk, seems ridiculous.
@@hypertamer9661 I understand the importance of Aether. _Great_ Aether doesn't exist and never has outside of Smash. My issue is that people will look at Omnislash and see "Oh look, the Ike knockoff is doing an Ike knockoff move, what an Ike knockoff. Who asked for these anime swordfighters anyways?", because they don't know any better and won't bother to know any better. I know that Ike kicks a bit sometimes, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's an entirely original move to Smash and is, essentially, blade spam with a falling slash that ends in an explosion -- ie Omnislash. The inspiration is clear enough that people call Omnislash a ripoff of Great Aether; what _I'm_ saying is that, if one is going to get shit for being unoriginal, it sure as hell shouldn't be Omnislash. I won't give either shit, I like them both, but if one needs to get it, it should at least be right one.

In Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pit can call upon the aid of Palutena to unleash certain special attacks, such as the Black Hole and Mega Laser specials used for her final smash, and so her being off screen while the laser is in use makes some sense.
Background info on some of the Final Smashes: Corrin is of royal descent, meaning he/she has blood of a dragon deity. A lot of his/her attacks incorporate turning limbs into dragon appendages, which occurs in Fates during critical hits or activating attack skills. In fact, Corrin's neutral special is just the last part of a critical hit animation. Corrin's Final Smash is turning into the dragon completely, which he/she does in battle if equipped with a Dragonstone. Mewtwo has two Mega Evolutions, Mega X is a physical attacker while Mega Y is a special attacker. While I wish they did something similar to Ryu and Ken, by giving him one for each form, he only gets Mega Y. He then uses his signature move Psystrike, which is one of the strongest Psychic type moves in the game (that doesn't have a downside). Psystrike is a special attack that hits the target's physical defense, because it's attacking with telekinesis. Lucina's copied Final Smash feels even cheaper when you realize that in Awakening, attacks bring up a small green health bar and they could have just done that to make it a little bit different. Dark Pit is an interesting case where he could have been much more unique in Smash compared to Pit if they just gave him different weapons. Kid Icarus Uprising has a ton of different weapon types that could have been split between them. Pit's "main" weapon is the bow (which transforms into the dual blades), but Dark Pit's "main" weapon is a staff rifle. His Final Smash is a sniper rifle shot, but I wish his main moveset was built around that weapon. Robin's actually sets itself apart by utilizing aspects of Awakening. You have Chrom, a central character, using the new pair-up function to attack alongside you, and he even has a cut-in of his face like when he gets a critical hit. Palutena's I would actually say suffers from being too close to the origin game. Her Final Smash is just using two special attack items that you can equip in the game. Zelda's Final Smash is fine as is because it's iconic for her to have the Light Arrows which often play a part in defeating Ganon. But I completely agree that Sheik needed a different Final Smash. Yoshi's is weird but strangely is a great reference to the three special types of Koopa shell that Yoshi can eat. Fact remains Ike had it as a Final Smash in Smash Bros first and they could have tried to vary it, but it's literally a swordsman bringing their opponent into the air, slashing at them, and slamming down on them again. They could have tried to do SOMETHING to change it up a bit
Icemasteru I never said cloud created the whole slashing finishing move, but many people are claiming Ike’s great aether came first which is wrong. Clouds final smash is a direct reference from his game lol.
Does Max have something against Zard? He doesn’t have Mega Zard X in this one or PT’s in the next one.
