Seeing as how Homelander and Omniman are in MK1, I wouldn’t be surprised to actually see Superman as a guest character in keeping with the “superhero” theme.
I’m really hoping we eventually get to see doomguy in mortal kombat one day, he seems perfect for the game and may be SO fun to play As long as he isn’t robocop again lmfao
He wouldn't be, you'd have a great time doing the doom eternal loop and adapting it to MK. Flame bleching to get an armoured special, doing a command grab "glory kill" to reload your shotgun to do powerful combo enders then doing almost cyrax style set up with the frag grenade and Frost bomb
@Ch35h1r3C47 probably xray/ fatality given how fun it'd be to slash people apart with it. I can see some real fun mobility with the dash, double jump and the meat hook.
I remember reading a tweet form Ed Boon stating that Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal was almost the PlayStation guest character for MK9 but they ultimately went with Kratos instead.
Kinda interesting how MKX was all about splatter/horror characters and MK11 was mostly about 80s action movie stuff (with a few exceptions). I wonder if MK1 will keep to a theme like that.
@@lixyo4320 I'm not very excited about any of them. Homelander and Omniman are both basically just edgy Superman. I don't feel like they're different enough to warrant two completely different characters, but idk maybe they'll be fun.
I feel like mk should start focusing on video game guests characters instead I mean there's so much potential from games like resident evil or silent hill that they can do. I feel like pinhead from hellraiser would be a perfect fit in mk
I LOVED MK11s guests so much. Robo, Rambo, and Term were all really fun but also animated really well. Robocop was a zoner that got turned into a scary mix up grappler with kustoms. Also Joker with the boxing glove specials was a blast. Any hit you land can get transitioned into a high damaging combo route. Mk11 did it right
Robocop is so hard to make "super cool" for a fighter, largely because his character....doesn't move much. In the original two movies (didn't bother watching the third) he is very clunky, but very tanky. So many of his moments in movies involves him eating a ton of damage, turning a robotic 90 degrees, and shooting someone with pinpoint accuracy. Robocop really is just a walking tank. Slow, soaks up a million damage, and one taps things.
In defence of Fredie, he is eating the dreams of Mortal Kombat characters. He can jump and kick around, because people of this world see it as a treath.
MKX even has several fitting stages for Alien VS Predator battles! I use the Special Forces training stage with the holograms as stand-ins for the various Alien ships and stations, the jungle stage for Predator, the city stage for Predator 2, and the Lin Kuei temple as a stand-in for the ice temple from Alien VS Predator.
I absolutely love the horror franchise guest characters, as a massive fan of horror movies they all hit for me personally and i wish NeatherRealm studios would make a horror movie fighting game. Problem is though it'd be pretty niche most likely and i can only imagine the licensing issues that would come with it but GOD I WANT IT!
Would be cool to see more crazy video game characters as guest characters. Any of the Snakes, Dante, various Resident Evil characters, Dracula or Alucard from Castlevania, numerous Souls game characters, various Samurai Shodown villains, Ezio from Assassins Creed, ETC. You could get really out of the box characters.
I also mained Spawn, and... yeah. He actually had sauce considering it was MK11, but he was just so slow and lumbering and hard to get going. You either steamrolled or got frustratingly destroyed while being mostly helpless, there was no in between. But, Spawn tho
As someone who played MK9 as his first Mortal Kombat game, and on the PS3, Kratos will always be my favorite Guest Character in the Mortal Kombat series.
Wonder if he’ll do a 'Rate The Guests' for Soul Calibur. Link's probably a shoe in for 10/10, and Yoda's going to be -5/10 out of frustration with his size
Throughout all of Mortal Kombat history Sub-Zero has always been my main but in MKX it was Jason! As a massive Friday The 13th fan playing as him was a dream come true! And Jason so played perfectly and he looked Sick as hell doing it as well🖤
My favourites so far are Kratos, Jason, Predator, Alien, Terminator, Joker and Spawn. The guest characters coming to MK1 are looking cool even tho haven’t watched the series they come from or don’t know that much about them, hype to see who else will come to MK. It be really cool if they could bring back past guest characters. 🐉

Rambo ended up being my absolute favorite guest character in MK11. He has definitely the most interesting story ending. His animations were so thoughtful and a lot of heart/passion was put into his animations and details. His sound effects are snappy, his knife attacks are satisfying. His Brutalities are sheer satisfaction. Rambo is how you make a guest character. He's a 10/10 for me easily.

I need Shredder in a mk game so bad
Had a friend that did QA for NRS. Can confirm that Leatherface was a late addition when they couldn't get Meyers and the Ash deal fell apart. Leatherface's whole moveset came from the Ash prototype.
Edit: Ash was for X, then they tried again for 11
Awesome video idea max! Can’t wait to see the mk1 content
Seeing as how Homelander and Omniman are in MK1, I wouldn’t be surprised to actually see Superman as a guest character in keeping with the “superhero” theme.
Nah wont happen
Man having the psvita and playing Kratos everyday was the best moment of my gaming life
I’m really hoping we eventually get to see doomguy in mortal kombat one day, he seems perfect for the game and may be SO fun to play
As long as he isn’t robocop again lmfao
He wouldn't be, you'd have a great time doing the doom eternal loop and adapting it to MK.
Flame bleching to get an armoured special, doing a command grab "glory kill" to reload your shotgun to do powerful combo enders then doing almost cyrax style set up with the frag grenade and Frost bomb
@@jerryjezzaberry5009 Damn that sounds pretty great. Crucible blade in one of his finishers maybe?
@Ch35h1r3C47 probably xray/ fatality given how fun it'd be to slash people apart with it.
I can see some real fun mobility with the dash, double jump and the meat hook.
That would be actually perfect
Apparently there was a leak about doomguy being in kombat pack 2 so just wait to see if its true or not
I feel like Michael Myers would have played way too similarly to Jason
I remember reading a tweet form Ed Boon stating that Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal was almost the PlayStation guest character for MK9 but they ultimately went with Kratos instead.
Kinda interesting how MKX was all about splatter/horror characters and MK11 was mostly about 80s action movie stuff (with a few exceptions).
I wonder if MK1 will keep to a theme like that.
So far the theme is looking like comic book anti-heros & villains, which we had a bit of in 11 with Joker & Spawn
@@RedGalbotHave you even seen their respective medias? The only thing that’s “Superman” about them is the cape and the some of the powers.
The funny thing is that Freddy Krueger gets goofier as the movies went on. Doing backflips wouldn’t be too out of character for him.
i want a big budget horror fighting game so bad!
Mk11 did it right
Personally I liked Robocop, his up close game with his command grab and the flamethrower was really fun imo.
@@hteetythe 3rd one is bad but I enjoyed it as a kid on vhs
I love that Terminator just steals Johnny Cage's motorcycle lmao
I'd like to see guest fighters from other violent video games like Rick from Splatterhouse or Albert Wesker from Resident Evil
Doomguy
In defence of Fredie, he is eating the dreams of Mortal Kombat characters. He can jump and kick around, because people of this world see it as a treath.
Kratos is a perfect guest character and was the one to introduce us with more guest characters
Freddy jumping around is fitting. In dreams he moves in unnatural way.
Art the Clown from Terrorizer would be so cool. Like if he gets close to death he gets a gun
I love the care put into the editing in these videos, it really pushes them above and beyond
This one mans insight on Fighting games is the reason i switched from fps to more fighting games. W mans W Dood
Would love to see Jason return and Have Myers as the counterpart in a DLC for MK1. Dunno why but horror icons hit harder then the rest imo.
Leather face was so fun and well thought out, my favorite slasher type movie for sure
Totally shooting for the fences here, But what about The Toxic Avenger? I remember that hero actually killed people in cool gory ways lol
There are a lot of amazing guests in MK... probably best guests roster in all of them.
Kratos and Spawn the Mortal Kombat/Soul Calibur duo
Throughout all of Mortal Kombat history Sub-Zero has always been my main but in MKX it was Jason! As a massive Friday The 13th fan playing as him was a dream come true! And Jason so played perfectly and he looked Sick as hell doing it as well🖤
Dude 22:35 I had no clue about that Terminator exoskeleton move
My favourites so far are Kratos, Jason, Predator, Alien, Terminator, Joker and Spawn. The guest characters coming to MK1 are looking cool even tho haven’t watched the series they come from or don’t know that much about them, hype to see who else will come to MK. It be really cool if they could bring back past guest characters. 🐉
Dude you’ve gotta check out both the boys and invincible which are the series Omni man and homelander are from. They are both really great shows so far. Homelander from the boys especially is one of the best super villains ever IMO
@@jeremyroberts8822 Yeah it pisses me off when people say "He's just an evil Superman". Yes, his powers are the same and he is based around him, but his personality could not be more different. His abillities just give him the power to do whatever he wants, if he had any other OP hero's power, he would be the same.
every time i watch one of Max's videos, i always have to headbang to his intro. its so good. at this point, its a ritual
We’re so close to rate the fatal/kostume MK1 edition! Can’t wait
a prity fun "RATE THE" video whuld be the games Project X Zone 1-2 attacks
Dude I hadnt heard of Spawn before Mk11 and its still a 10/10. Granted im not like a Spawn superfan or anything now, but the game made me aware of how badass of a character he is
Rambo ended up being my absolute favorite guest character in MK11.
I was just saying the other day that i wish they would bring predator back. they did an awesome job with him.
Slow and annoying with crazy zoning is exactly what i was looking for. Robocop was perfect for me.
I will say this. I’m not too hyped for the guest characters but I will tell you. The character interactions are gonna go crazy. Especially peacemaker and homelander
Well kinda. They are going back to one line per interaction with characters. Not the usual 3 part interaction like in Injustice 2 or MK 11
@@Android-Twenty-One yeah that part is real unfortunate but I’ve heard Johnny and he has some great lines despite the change
I think that the Sparda Brothers from devil may cry could work in MK universe
As someone who watched all the Nightmare on Elm Street films, Freddy 100% fits into the MK verse, more so than Jason. I do agree his moveset could be a bit more creative (plus not having a Robert skin did suck). My MK pipe dream is having both Freddy (with the Robert skin) and Jason back to MK for a rematch
I love your takes Max. As a long time MK fan. I agree with all of it. 11/10 to you sir
I really want pennywise in mk1, genuinely think he’s the perfect choice. The fatalities would look awesome
Jason Voorhees is my all time favorite fighting game character, I need his style to come back
Here's hoping that each KP is its own theme cause I really want a horror pack with Ash, Myers & Ghostface, and a video game pack with Doom Slayer & Dante
I dunno if Dante would fit MK, way too long range with the Rebellion, which is like a 2m+ sword
Doom Slayer however would be amazing
Well, you got ghostface.
2 days so hyped! With you on the new guests.
If they ever go back to horror characters I think candy man would actually work so well not sure it’s a big enough name for them though
Some other good ones would be penny wise the clown, pumpkinhead or pinhead
@@jeremyroberts8822 Man, I would love to see Pinhead in MK.
@@patsagonsaechin3006 same I think he would fit in perfectly in MK.
I remember hearing that Marcus Fenix from Gears of War was supposed to be the Xbox 360 guest for MK 2011.
I really wish that happened, I’m a huge fan of gears but personally a locust character would’ve worked better
