J.D. broke the Guinness World record for the lowest note sung by a human in 1966, by hitting a C1. He was the last person to hold the record with a chest voice note, and the G0 he hits at the end of the video is still the lowest note that's ever been sung in chest voice.
The legendary J. D. Sumner, In 1964, Sumner founded the Gospel Music Association with James Blackwood. He was also the founding force behind the National Quartet Convention and he wrote more than 700 songs. What a legend!
JD Sumner was and still is the lowest CHEST bass singer in the world, maybe tim storm can go lower with fry, but i don't think we can compare, JD is pure CHEST man, this is very incredible, he can cause an earthquake just by singing. :)
ok there is a guy on youtube that can hit negative notes in chest voice but still and trust me he's not using inward bass ruclips.net/channel/UCDvpZdcYqp04c6URqanSbUQ
JD Sumner said when Elvis was young he tried sneaking into JD's shows and JD said 20 yrs later Elvis was letting him sneak into Elvis's concerts 😂 that last one was also Elvis "go do it JD" & " your breaking the speaker"
Great and interesting reaction to a guy who took it hard when the charismatic Elvis died being a great friend and a back up singer to him for years. The ending of the song with the picture of Elvis was Way Down
Ooh, this is gonna be a good one! I always look forward to your reactions, it's become like a guaranteed wholesome part of the day. I don't think you guys have reacted to VoicePlay's Billie Eilish in 3 Minutes, or Panic! in 4 minutes (parts 1&2) yet, that would be nice to see :) And since Christmas is coming up: -Baby It's Cold Outside -Mission: Jingle Bells -O Holy Night -What's This? -O Little Town of Bethlehem (my favourite) are all fantastic. And You're a Mean One Mr Grinch will be out soon just so you know.
That was very low. If you want to go the other way, check out the high note of Dimash when he sang (Unforgettable Day) at Gakku. It is record setting for a man.
Yes JD sumner is a god 🙌 Maybe you could react to another one of my videos 👉👈 Would recommend my fairly recent video “bass singers subharmonic compilation”
In the comments of this magnificent reaction there is a lot of misinformation, one that vocal fry, that tim storms is lower than jd summer Tim storms is too far from jd summer, tim storms only uses the vowel fry from F1 downwards and the loss of resonance and power when changing the vocal fry is very noticeable, Jd summer always occupied chest voice and although tim storms reaches a g -7 is false, the vocal fry is a relaxation technique, in some other way if you try it you can lower several negative octaves, and jd summer reached a g0 in chest voice and his spoken voice is more resonant and lower than that of tim storms , he is a great bass, but he does not compare to jd summer, the only one who would equal jd summer would be Michail Zlatopolsky
JD sumner was the lowest bass singer nobody can do it like him he also hit the lowest note ever. He was also known for going below the note and coming back to the note.
Elvis said J.D. could hit 4 notes lower then the AO on the piano, that would be about EO. They sang-Ive Got A Woman/Amen every concert back in the 70s. I don't care what anybody says or proves, J.D. could & did go lower then GO👍✌️
Tim Storm has the lowest voice in the world ever. JD Sumner did a beautiful G0 but Tim can go to a G -7 Seven notes below a zero. Wonderful cute kids Dennis!!!
@@jerryboy9652 J.D. went lower then GO, some people say he didn't, Elvis himself said J.D. could hit 4 notes lower then the AO on the piano, I believe he could👍✌️
Wonderful cute kids. Absolutely. A beautiful GO. It is. So why even mention Storms? If you like him good for you but his so called record is controversial and misleading. Find his Guinness listing and scroll down to the comments, if you're at wiki click on the talk section. Read them both. These aren't complaints over someone not liking the guy. These are concerns over the record claim itself. Storms holds no record for lowest audible note by human voice. He has not recorded a single note below the keyboard. Others have.
@@gagemaker1959 Yeah the Tim Storms record is very shady. Could be made just to get people to buy the Guinness Book of World Records. It's not about the records for them anymore, it's just for the money.
His group was the background singers for Elvis for the last several years of his life. Great reaction!! Look forward to more from the Stamps.

That’s insane
JD was a friend of Elvis they sang a ton together
JD IS THE BEST
i wish i had a deep voice like him
i also wish i existed back then to see him perform
That G0 sounds like a movie sound effect😂
The legendary J. D. Sumner, In 1964, Sumner founded the Gospel Music Association with James Blackwood. He was also the founding force behind the National Quartet Convention and he wrote more than 700 songs. What a legend!
He’s come up with the idea of a tour bus in gospel music. Him and George Younce bought a school bus and transformed it

@@lurecyyy ok but his lowest chest note is still Bb0
Thank you so much for the reaction!
JDSumner was one of Elvis's backup singers. Elvis loved how low JD could go. He was also in the Guinness Book of Records for a long time.
What was even better is hearing JD hit these notes in person
JD Sumner said when Elvis was young he tried sneaking into JD's shows and JD said 20 yrs later Elvis was letting him sneak into Elvis's concerts 😂 that last one was also Elvis "go do it JD" & " your breaking the speaker"
I am a 7 string bass player and I approve of these low notes!!
My dad played piano behind JD and group. Said he watched him walk the scale 7 notes below last piano key.
Damn!!!!!!!👍✌️
JD was a friend of our family and he truly was the lowest bass singer. Elvis loved to hear him.

Finally someone reacts to JD Sumner 👏👏
Impressive vocal frying 8:48
You should react J.D Sumner sing Rainbow of love ....crazy low notes
He and the Stamps Quartet were in Elvis’ groups for many years
JD was well known in the alligator kingdom. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
O melhor de todos os tempos 👏🏼

10:24 112 hertz a#2 very detuned to 25 hz
The kid's reaction to the left at 6:10 says it all xD
Mmmm... A react to J. D. Sumner! Thank you!
I love classical music
This will be good to watch
that is B flat zero & G zero.
JD Summers is the king of the low notes, not Tim Riley, not Tim Storms, nobody beats JD.
So true👍✌️
Loved your subs
Yay! Thank you!
The lowest audible note is about C0, but Tim Storms can hit G#-7
Yeah but I think he's using a chest fry technique, but Jd hitting those notes with chest.

15 hitting these notes
JD used the mask
I don't know if you have done Tim Riley yet, but he may be the best in my opinion. George Younce was fantastic as well though.
Both excellent bass singers, but JD was way lower than them. The way they projected may have been a bit more “velvety”.
Watching this again and y'all should react to Clap It Up Dan's video Just A Little Talk With Jesus x Rainbow of Love. He's insane.
Did you check my video out for y'all to do a reaction to
Not sure that JD had to work at it really ... just sayin'! Be Safe
Watch A rainbow of love..then watch tim Riley and George younce
Check out Tim Foust, Avi Kaplan and Geoff Castellucci!!!
Lowest usable note definitely. Double low C.
Check out George Younce.
You need to do rainbow of love by the crystal river boys, some of the most iconic low notes of all time
I can do that.

It's not G0, is E0.

@@kennyhuskisson2684 Yeah, of course, i agree with you.
@@lurecyyy I think the G0 was the sound of the speakers distorting and he actually went down to an Eb1 just before and after the speakers distorted
