This shoe always reminded me of V especially in the first season before it got confused.

I always like the custom then and now. It looks alien in style by being uncanny.

These reviews are great. I couldn't get farther than 5 minutes into the episode, but it's great to know what the stories are. I always wondered what these "Roddenberry" shows were like. Seems like they have some good ideas in them.

Gene's scifi seemed to have a common theme in all of them that Humankind are very resilient things and that they eventually will figure out how to come back from the greatest of odds. -- Old Man

I vaguely remember Earth Final Conflict, it reminded me a little of mini-series like V or Childhood's End with all the secret agendas and the untrustworthy "benevolent" aliens. I can recall Boon being written out and not really much after that. I possibly gave up on it too after the second season. I guess it was victim of studio execs pressuring them to turn up the sex appeal and action to get more viewers.

It definitely had a V vibe for sure. No mouse eating scene in this one though. But when the Beastmaster is on the Resistance's side, how can they lose? ;) -- Old Man

Ironically, I think 90s Television made it very clear that humanity would either take to aliens well, or as shown in Stargate SG1 not very well. I never watched this show when it first aired. However, I did enjoy Andromeda.

Loved season 1 with Boone. Was distraught with his death. I found that the later seasons less than satisfying. I didn't hate it but didn't have the drive to always watch

From what i understand they all ended up leaving over money. When ever it was time to renew the contracts the actors would ask for more money and the producers would say no. The actors would just be like OK bye and move on to another show. That is the one good thing about the 90's, All the independent syndicated TV shows. I honestly think if they had been able to keep Boone for the following seasons it would have been a much different and better show. Seriously I'd rather watch STD than to ever watch Final Conflict seasons 2-5 again.

I enjoyed the final season more during my last viewing. It didnt junp the shark quite as badly as Andomeda's final season. That said, seaosn 5 of EFC certainly wasn't the best.

I have always loved your reviews and comments that I found them very accurate and close to my own views but I have to admit that I found EARTH FINAL CONFLICT very confusing and dull especially after the first season where they got lost on just what the show was about.

We only recommend the first season to people because we completely agree about seasons 2-5 being an absolute mess. We saw a lot of promise in the beginning of season 1, but it was clear by the end of the season that the show runners were aiming to take the show in a *very* different direction. -Mollie

Thank you so much for the compliment! I know we can all agree that Discovery is garbage, so we will definitely be back on the same wavelength soon. -Mollie 😉
