Miui 14 could have been a playstore update. Only some system apps are needed to be updated thats it.
Xiaomi is making claims of miui being lighter since miui 12 & hasn't delivered
Absolutely useless update...indian ROM is joke compared to Chinese ROM
And most of the features claimed as new in this video are already available on MIUI 13 on my MI 11X.

The ads are there on 12X. My favourite improvement is simply that apps remain longer in memory, they really do.
Bet it can't stay in memory longer than your ex tho.....

The video editor was a part of MIUI 13 as well and it’s pretty useful!

Isn’t that how software develops
so you might not know about the deep stories behind it .... thats not your fault ... as i have same ques when i wasn't known about it ... but the reason behind bugs is .. when any developer develops a feature it had bugs which can be cleared by them only when they found them ... the reason they give small updates in every couple of months .... so thats normal to have bugs ....

Battery backup has taken a hit, my 11i is now consuming 4% to 8% more battery depending on the tasks.
There are no ads and ui is a lot smoother than before, yt bug has been optimised a lot and lastly the phone is also producing less heat

The video editor features and image editing features are available in MIUI13 as well

My favourite new additions:
- no gestures with 3rd party launchers so I have to use default launcher
- can no longer change icon pack in default launcher
- recent apps page crashing every time you press + hold an app
- bug preventing you from swiping to open notification panel.
- downgraded calculator app

ℹ️ was worried will poco f4 get it but got the OTA update just now. Good that xiaomi treats poco as a sibling brand 👍🏼👍🏼
They have very agressive ram management currently, if you switch to another app or leave something in background and open it after sometime it is gone.Fixing this should be top priority.
Most of the gallery features were already there on my phone from Miui 12.5 and now on 13

The watermark, remove feature, and the video editor from the gallery is not new in MiUI 14. 😁
Received miui 14 today. Still doesn't have the newer widgets or the themeing options 1.5 years after android 12. Not even sure if it received Standalone 5g update yet or not for Jio, will test tomorrow.
Also one weird bug / design choice - there is a comically large gap between the bottom dock & the bottom most row of apps on home page.
I was curious if MIUI 14 would feature a better camera app but it seems they still keep the app underperforming producing inferior images on Redmi Note 10 Pro compared to Google GCAM.
What's the use of enlarged folder and pressing inside from the folder while u can place it on the screen itself

For the first three apps inside the folder u don't need to open the folder to select apps. U can directly select it. Rest of the apps icons are needs opening the folder first. I mean, if u touch the forth icon it opens folder.
Reduces time. U can open frequently used apps fastly by putting them in first three orders inside that folder

ColorOS13 also had enlarged folder option when they rolled it out initially but later removed it in the next update and i really miss it. It was very helpful.

Color OS has those monet theming and themed icons implemented in the system, still they put more effort than Xiaomi. MIUI 14 is not even a system update it's just system apps update. I'm ditching xiaomi for realme, oneplus, pixel or nothing for my next device.
My phone feels alot more smooth since the update to MIUI 14

My phone (Poco f3 GT) received MIUI 14 with Android 13 some days back byt most of the features shown are still missing.

I have Xiaomi 11i... Ram management actually improved and i loved it... storage same around 12gb.. no new widgets ☹️, super wallpapers disappeared after 12.5 🤣, still blue tint in 120hz on low brightness bug not fixed

Received the MiUI 14 Android 13 update for Mi 11x today, it's smooth and fast, the performance is great, I find MiUI in general lacks a lot of features which should be standard the first being the Monet engine. The lacklustre wallpaper set of miui 14 is also kinda disappointing. I believe the battery life is a bit better, but I don't see any significant increase in storage space, the RAM expansion now can be done till 5GB which is welcome, however the ram managment is still bad in comparison to Apples and Samsungs of the world.
All in all an interative update at best, that just makes existing things a tiny bit better but doesn't bring changes that has been requested since long time ago.

Yeah my f62 does have sensors off option and i use it when on call with my girl (she is sleeping) & i wanna play game (it disables proximity sensor)

What about local music player? Does it still come with hungama collaboration? Or is it neat like samsung music player app.
You can change the region to San Marino and the Collab will be gone. Alternatively revoke the authorisation, open it and don't agree with the hungama privacy policy.
