Being that it’s Teahupoo, maybe Brasil should put in Pupo and Toledo should take one for the team rather than show up, sit the shoulder, and then drop out to illness. The whole Trestles format doesn’t actually give surfing real world champions. It’s sad WSL ruined surfing with the format and location.

Seriously makes no sense having people qualify to surf possibly the heaviest and steepest barrel on the planet in shit windslop. Some of these surfers (especially the girls from Europe /China) are going to be spectacularly underprepared for chopes, and the only way the Olympics could conceivably put them out is in small and choppy conditions which no one wants to watch
