That person should be arrested for depriving an entire neighborhood of the enjoyment of their property. And chances are, it will be right back to that state very soon.
So the guy that lives there piles up tons of garbage, which causes misery and blight for his neighbors, and others have to clean it up for him. Who pays for it? Sickening.
I don’t understand why someone would bring trash from others to their home. I imagine it’s some form of OCD/hoarding, but I don’t get it. I thought hoarding was someone having difficulty throwing away their own things, not bringing garbage to their home? Idk. I feel so bad for the neighbors and I feel bad for the man with this condition. He really needs help and probably needs more care than he can get living at home.
There is like 13 diseases that can be spread directly by rats and like 17 diseases that can be indirectly spread by rats. It's unacceptable all those complaints made by nearby home owners been ignored all those years. The city Mayor and the city workers that is in charge to make sure nothing like that happens should be ashamed of themselves.
He is in a crisis. I'm glad he's getting help. It'd be nice if somehow he gets a case worker who can put him in touch with resources. He needs someone to help him clean up, do some house keeping every few days. He is obviously struggling with some mental issues. I hope he gets the help he needs.
Get the men and women on the sanitation crew tetanus shots and lots of Gatorade. And thank them for the hard work that they do. All of our yards would look like this if it wasn't for sanitation workers. And like the mayor said this is a mental health crisis for Raymond. His sister needs to get Adult Protective Services involved if it's more than she herself can handle.
Joe Piscopo doing live on the spot reporting. That House of Horrors mystery is yet to be completely solved. Who knows what else is hidden behind closed doors.
There is a big difference between being nosey and being concerned about a public nuisance. There's no way anyone who asks questions about this trash heap should be characterized as "nosey."
Deserves? No, probably a mandated pysch and personality exam, yes, and maybe he's incapable of owning a home with basic sanitation responsibilities. Meaning with either assisted living or a homeless shelter. Owning a home is a privilege not a right. And if you become a public threat by encouraging disease and fire, you probably don't need your own home. Now I bet he goes back to collecting trash and putting it in his front yard again after it's all cleaned up, watch....
Obviously it never should have gotten this bad, but there comes a point that even if he wanted to clean it up, he looks at it and says to himself, where do I start? Its a good lesson, don't let things get this bad!
It takes a news station to get things done by the city, now they're using these excuses as a threat or as an emergency. Who's minding the city? Do we need to report this every time, these things happened everyday. Just do your job city government in all ways, not just in one area.
We've all seen the show hoarders. This guy needs help. The property needs a proper cleaning for sure. As long as both get done it should be fine. There are many different ways to go about it and not everyone will agree on how.
Once it's cleaned up I don't think it will stay that way. The problem is in Raymond's head and that manifests itself in the hoarding and trash that piles up around him.
TO The producers, can you just knock it off with the puns!! It's not cute, it's not funny. We're in the year 2024, okay! Stop trying to act like you're your own version of Network. You're here to provide non-biased information to the community you serve. Start acting like it! That is one thing I do not miss having left California over 39 years ago.
What’s a shame here is Hollywood will probably make a movie about him and he will make millions of dollars off of that movie. Maybe that’s exactly what he was looking for.
Just to point it out that, the only reason they are doing this isn't because there is a public health hazard, it's because the property is worth something and people are now going to try and pick it up. He has a mental disorder, and the sister has cancer. People know, some money flowed, and now it's a wait and see what they do.
And you should see the inside of the house---- or maybe you shouldn't. It will take days to clean that out too. Many who live this way - can't even get to the toilet because of the stuff piled up. Some end up wearing diapers cause they cannot get to their toilet. Then they take the diapers off (poop and all) and throw them in the house in a corner - or fill up the shower with them. Sometimes it is so bad that the homeowner has no plumbing or running water. People have actually died in hoarders' homes when stuff topples over on them. Some homes, when cleaned have revealed dead pets who have died in the mess and their skeletons are still in the house. This is the tip of the iceberg and the person that lives in the house needs counseling or they will just go back to doing this over and over.
After this comment... At least his neighbors didn't have to do any of the cleaning! That's a good city! I'm sure the city will get their money. As far as 'how this happened' and 'what's inside?' or ''what's going to happen now?'.... Take care. Don't ask for something you yourself do not want! This is the United States of American- its none of our business now that it's under control. Social services will help now.. and that's their job. I hope they do it. The newscaster needs to settle down. Legally, things can start happening now... So shhhh. It's time to go home, before something even worse comes of this. This news bit made NOT one uninvolved person look entitled - which they were at some point... They didn't appear honorable or good.
Don't cit the guy....get him help. Don't turn this into a "make him pay" campain. The guy has some kind of mental problems. The TV show HOARDERS will help give you some insight to the behavior.
what is that asian comedian and actress sherry cola doing there. she just happened to be there or what. if sherry cola doesn't like it then go somewhere else. she is a rich comedian and can do that you know.
I’m sorry, but it’s too late if you ask me. How the city allowed this pile of trash to get to this point is beyond me. It’s unacceptable!
Expect what I'm thinking too
Correct how this was possible
Unfortunately it happens
That front and backyard will be filled up again in no time.
Right
This is disgusting. The front yard was a landfill. Anyone who lives among all that nasty debris, needs professional help.
He's autistic. Of course he needs help. I'm sure most of his family is dead and he doesn't like his sister. This happens quite often.
Can you imagine how the house look inside
The guy now has a clean canvas to work. It'll be the same mess in a few months.
I hope we will be able to see after it all gets cleaned up.
Thank God that they charted everything including the work I was doing for the world. God word is true and Jesus Christ and Raja will live for ever. Truth will be truth you can't fake it.
I guess that not Everybody Loves Raymond, if you live on this street....
I feel bad for the poor souls that have to clean that mess up.
Amen.
God Bless 💗🙏
Shout out to all Sanitation Workers. We are nothing without them.
Why they not looking in his windows they know its trash in that house as well
Give the man some privacy at least
@@kmariamv if you live next to him you would have rats come visit you, you would smell a foul odor on a daily--you go and sleep and a dumpster fool
If he's in danger they can't look away. He may need help for the inside as well. Hopefully he will get some additional assistance.
Approximately 1 million dollar house.
That these neighbors had to live around this as long as they did is TOTALLY unacceptable.
That person should be arrested for depriving an entire neighborhood of the enjoyment of their property. And chances are, it will be right back to that state very soon.
Ok commie
I hope Raymond gets the help he needs 😢
Great report, on many levels, great video, thank you all
the trash is 20 feet deep and the mayor shows up saying Wow, what the heck happened, I had no idea. the mayor needs to be removed
Nah, she can't know everything. I don't blame her.
The homeowner needs to be held indefinitely, on a 5150 hold.
his sister bought the house and let the brother live there, she looks to have the same condition when they showed her on an interview
@@jazziez6467 OK, then give them a 2-for-1 special on adjoining padded cells.
Must be close to re election time, after years mayor shows up.... terrible paying high property taxes to live beside this
So why did it take so long
Straight up "Gargamel" from the Smurfs!
Finally, Thank God.
Hopefully The Tenent Will Get Alot Of Much Needed Help.
God Bless 💗🙏
Also The Neighbors
Probably Need Help
For Being Subjected To That.

Mention Asian ..? Why? No mention of ethnicity of the 9. What's your point? Just curious 🤔
Oh shut up with this race baiting shit

So the guy that lives there piles up tons of garbage, which causes misery and blight for his neighbors, and others have to clean it up for him. Who pays for it? Sickening.
Somebody's gotta do it. And he certainly couldn't by himself. Would you rather it stay there or are you ok with some of your tax dollars chipping in?
Even Raymond's car is filled to the brim with garbage!!! The man is not right in the head.
Exactly! He should be been fined and keep getting fined till he cleans up his own mess!
Wow Karen, what about the rest of LA?
What about it? You can go out and interview people and report on the rest of Los Angeles. No one is stopping you.
I can only imagine what the inside of the house looks like
Take bass to skid row 😂

Why the city had to wait to take action? It needed the press for the city to start removing all the trash.

Sue the city for trespassing
This is so stupid. Why bother if you ain't going to clean the inside of the home? The inside is way worse, that's why he has to put stuff outside.
