I used to watch the series Hoarders, and usually in the episodes, the initial cleanup upsets the hoarder so much, the cleaners have to stop and calm the person down. Keep an eye on the homeowner.

District 9 here! Called 311 for a status on a ticket for maintenance on trees that the city planted and broken curbs and street lights being off for months if not a couple of years! City said no funds go talk to your district representative Mr. Price office said talk to 311. This has to be a joke!!

my dad is 81, he asked me to buy a new microwave for him 2 days ago, as his 20 y/o Daewoo microwave was making new noises & on its way out (HIS words) (MY words... it looked like a gremlin blew up in there). I said "dad, I'll take the old one out tomorrow". Next day, after he had the new one in, he says "maybe, I think I should keep that old microwave, because it didn't quite stop working, just put it in the basement". I'm like its ok, we can throw it away. u have a new one now & that one is over 20yrs old. Many are delicate & vulnerable in this life, especially if the have been exposed to trauma. Dad does have severe OCD. It's a strange vulnerability when people shut down mentally & cant let go or be organized in their homes & mind.

The county will place a lien on the home title to cover the cost of the clean up and will have to be paid off before the home can sell.
