There was a time when I dreamed of having this done. These days my dreams are much bigger. I still want this procedure along with a lot of other work. When corona is a memory I am going to treat myself. If I can’t find anywhere decent to operate in the uk I’m going to America. These videos are inspiring.

@@babaharamdev well unfortunately I didn’t because we had a death in the family (my father in law) so that kind of took over. Then we had some good news a grandchild but I still might have it done.

I turn 19 in a week and I have a weak chin. The side parts of my jaw are pretty square, but the chin is tiny and I fucking hate it. Saved up roughly half the money so far from my part time job, but it costs 12-20K here in New Zealand. Everyone's telling me not to do it, but I don't give a fuck. I want to look normal and fuck anyone who tries to stop me.
Save your self money and go to europe for this procedure, here in austria its costs around 2k

@@NikGoodrichthat makes the most sense and is probably different depending on which state you do it in. I would definitely need a genioplasty and some work done on my neck like this guy had. I'm budgeting 10k for it since I would get a sliding genioplasty over the implant.

Hey, one question. Many surgeons remove the excess skin in the form of direct necklift or z-plasty once the platysma is tightened closed. In this video you dont seem to remove any amount of skin after the tightening, how is this possible? Thank you.
The patient is young and the skin will tighten on it's own.. however, when he ages it may start to sag faster than a "non surgically" corrected patient.. If you can see enough of my photo, I had this procedure performed ( a bone implant was used, that fused to my bone ), a rhinoplasty, bone cheek implants and my ears were pinned back.
In another video I saw, don't recall if it was from this doc or another one, they explained that the surface area doesn't actually change much and that you actually need extra skin to properly cover the new angles that recede under the jaw. The biggest issue with saggy skin under the jaw, especially as one ages, is the weakening of the muscle along the front of the neck. As soon as that muscle is tightened the skin along there will automatically retreat closer to the muscle profile.
@@stonew1927 Im not sure. From what Ive read its not just sagging of muscle bands and skin laxity but apparently our entire head loses size, think of it slightly deflating due to bone, muscles and skin shrinking, which contributes to the bottom part, our neck in this case, becoming saggy. I agree with Richard that a young patient in their 20's and maybe 30's could just get fat removed, tightening of the bands and thats it. But for older patients you're inevitably going to have excess skin which will need removed.
@@michaelshannon9169 True, on older patients extra skin needs to be removed through a variation of face/neck lift, but you were asking about this younger patient in this video, and my response was to that. I'm older forwarding information from a certified plastic surgeon as to why skin may not be removed in a younger patient when undergoing this kind of procedure.
@@michaelshannon9169 Thank you !!! Yes, for an older patient, they will need an incision and excision of excess skin around the ears. Something that needs to be done by the most skilled Dr.- because a bad face-lift looks like a "bad facelift"..

Genes remodel itself
Well 90% of chin issues like this are caused by mouth breathing in their entire young life. It literally causes the jaw to expand downward instead of outward causing the recessed chin.

If he wanted to improve his profile, it would cost far less to eat healthy food and lift weights and run. That'll sculpt you properly.
Diet and exercise would tackle the neck/face fat for sure, but a recessed chin is just unfortunate genetics.
@@aarondaniel9986 Well yes. But being fit goes a long way to compensate. So does growing a good beard if one can.
Unfortunately, weight loss does not eradicate the deep neck fat compartment. Although it would help reduce the subcutaneous fat, that was actually a minuscule amount as this individual is already in shape and muscular. The development of the chin in-utero is affected by a variety of factors outside of the control of the individual. Just as many may choose to grow a beard, others choose to simply have an implant placed. Chin augmentation surgery has existed for 120 years and takes less than 1 hr to perform awake.
