Hey, I've just started watching your backlog of videos and am loving them! Have you had any experience with the Machinist X99 V205? It seems like most of the USA stock motherboards are using Intel H81 chipsets these days rather than C612 or X99. Would one of these cheaper boards still be acceptable for a higher core CPU if I wasn't planning to overclock (xeon 2697V4)? Thanks!
As far as I know V205 has very weak VRM and cooling so I would advise against it.

Hello! Recently started diving into your videos as reference for my own Xeon E5 V3 dual CPU build. What would be the best performing CPU to run in a setup as such for gaming? It will be paired with two GTX Titan XP graphics cards in SLI. There are just so many of those Xeon E5 to choose from! (Note, I would prefer higher clock speeds over cores, but want nothing less than 6 cores.)

Quick question if you don't mind me asking. Could you make a video of the best settings for the BIOS for these Chinese motherboards probably explaining what they actually mean.
I could make a video about it but it will be very boring because 99.99% of the settings will have the same description - leave it alone, you don't need it.

@@titanblack63 The iEngineer BIOS is not free so I can't distribute it with GitHub but Mi899 has an option to select a BIOS file from your PC and then you can flash it.

Maybe because these "circumvents" don't eliminate the TPM 2.0 need for Valorant, LoL, BitLocker and possibly other games, software, features in the future?
Hi, I am looking to purchase a huananzhi x99-tf gaming board.
Ive got the Machinist MR9A Pro with TPM and custom BIOS, but cannot find if the huananzhi x99-tf gaming will work with the TPM module.
Website doesn't state TPM 2 support and biosengineer custom bios for the board doesn't list TPM 2 but it is a very solid board.
Do you have any knowledge on if it will work with your TPM 2 modules as I will order another module if it does.
X99-TF doesn't support TPM 2.0, at least not to my knowledge.

As far as I know, F8 doesn't have any TPM headers, F8D theoretically possible but no development is planned at the moment.

Miyconst can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a video about e5 2696 v3 specifically running on only 10 cores 20 threads to lower tdp? The main issue with 2697 and above seems to be the tdp and i think the 45mb cache on the 2696 v3 would make it as good as a 5600 if you make it run on only 10 cores became of tdp. This could expand x99 lifespan by a little while
The CPU already maintains almost max frequency in games. Why do you think that extra 200-300 MHz will make it catch up with R5 5600?
@@Miyconst I have never seen it maintain even close to max frequency. The difference between the e5 2697 v3 and r5 5600 looked like around how much you would gain by swapping it with a 45mb cache cpu like the 2696 and disabling the cores to run at 3.8ghz all core and then there is even blck overclocking if it wasn't overpowered enough. The difference between both cpus seems to be less than 30 percent stock, so it would likely be pretty close with these changes done to it because of the huge cache pool it draws from

I can't understand why TPM modules don't work on huananzhi f8 motherboards, same chipset same socket, same platform, moded bios too and I don't understand why only Machinist , sorry but I don't understand
This is better to ask Huananzhi why they didn't make compatible header for TPM on their motherboards.

Ok! Got the Rev. 2.0 of the Bios for my Machinist board. When i try to flash it, i get message "Error 25: The Host CPU does not have write access to the target flash area. To enable write access for this operation you must modify the descriptor settings to give host access to this region."

Did you try the tpm module with the machinist pr9?
It works if your motherboard has JLPC1 header and BIOS supports it. There are several different PR9 revisions.
