Muth has enough talent to be the #2 pass catcher after Pickens.
I would put Darnell Washington on a prove it season as well. He’s a decent blocker. Problem is by making him a blocker only. You’re giving up another set of hands to catch the ball. Instead of having a TE that can easily do both. Pretty much have him in running play packages.

I like you guys and I enjoy your show but to straight up say Pat is soft and to call him an incredibly inconsistent target and blocker as well as the possibility he could get hurt in future seasons is a massive concern is absurdly hyperbolic! Muth is a real one, The second tight end in history to have 60 receptions in his first two seasons refutes the statement that he is a liability as the security blanket he should be... He was a safety valve for roethlisberger his entire final season and if we had a remotely capable offensive coordinator and even average quarterback play the last two seasons he would be a stud. I agree there are some injury concerns but outside that, all concerned say he works his ass off in the gym, the practice field, the film room and is a great presence in the locker room from all reports. I really hope we get an extension done before the start of the season and I personally expect him to have a pro bowl season. Keep doing what you do guys! Let's go Steelers!!!

Also although he's not a great blocker to say that he's a terrible blocker is just not true He's gotten better every season and is a decent blocker with definitely some upside on that front but he is tough as nails... I almost feel like you guys are talking about a different guy

Russell Wilson doesn't like to throw over the middle because he can't see over the line. Muth might get 30 catches this year.
