We had inline-4 250's, 400's in New Zealand in the 80's and 90's. You can still buy the older ones. I've had the CBR250R (red-linded at 19,000 rpm) Yamaha FZR250R, and the Suzuki Katana 250. The GSX-R 250 had the best power to weight at 138kg and 45hp. I remember going to high school with my mates on our 250-4s sounded like a F-1 race.

I had 2 1989 Yamaha Fzr 250 3LN both revved off the clock claimed 45 bhp and the later models had 40 bhp apparently

I was regretting trading my 2022 z900 RS 50th anniversary. Then asked about the 400 rr . Dealer said sorry sold out. Get on line. So knowing that the 40th ninja was ust coming out the Salesman said no they don't make one. Then the Other salesman ( a kawi nut like me) said" Yes they do. We have only one coming . So I lucked out. Its got my name on it. The 900 was too brutal . So now seeing this video makes me NOT sorry. The 400 won't loop out in 4th gear but still has 4 cyl sound and giggle factor. I'm pumped. Great video.
Yeah, if your're looping a bike then the problem isn't the bike, it's your right hand.
I have one untuned. It's the most fun bike! I don't regret anything
I had my zx4rr dyno tuned by Chris Moore at Moore mafia graves slip on and race air filter made 71hp and now my top speed is 153mph 😎

50hp and after a tune up a whooping 71 HP . Wow , in Malaysia we'll get ours in 2024 . A rebadged under Modenas zx4r SE or RR both comes standard with 77 HP out of the box. 👍
New Zealand they are full 77hp
You're going to see numbers all over the place because the manufacturer claims power at the crankshaft, everyone else measures after transmission losses to the rear wheel, and dyno measurements are not the same either.
@@Daschickenify This. 71hp at the wheel is totally inline with 77-78hp crank hp. Put your Malasysia or New Zealand bikes on a chassis dyno and you will likely see 70-71hp.

I went through 2WheelDynoworks.
And I didn’t specifically ask about that but I’m sure they could flash it back to stock. They did mention that if they come up with updates for it you can send it back in and get the updates for free so there’s that.

What octane do you use now? And did you have to disable the O2 sensor, exhaust valve and pair valve?
Didn’t have to do any of that. I’m still putting 93 in at the moment but I need to message the guys and see if it’s tuned for 87 or 93

How long did it take you to receive your ecu back from the tuner?
A day over a week. But I also sent it on a Thursday, so the weekend didn’t help plus that following week was 4th of July so probably could get it back faster if you send it out on a Monday

theyre not supposed to be taken off. You can use it as much as you want, its not bad for the engine

Some models like the USA ones n shit make like 50-55 from the factory if im not mistaken and you can "unlock" the full power with a dyno tune or ecu flash and get the full 75+ hp

So no rear power gain other than you picked up about 5mph? For all that cost is it really worth it. So you get what 50 hp instead 44?
Ecu flash gets it above 70-76 depending on exhaust setup

Here in quebec licenses for a supersport bike costs 2000$/ year
The zx4 costs ~380$
Zx6 is $3k more which is a 30 PERCENT increase in cost on top of the insurance premium being much higher. So no the costs aren’t even comparable
