Interesting to see the BTS footage as well as the finished product. Not a lot of people actually insert the finished footage, so that's great. Since I work for the Marketing Department for a tech-company, we often shoot multiple videos for a product/campaign as well. When shooting multiple videos, we usually try to avoid starting them with a very similar shot, like I noticed all 3 videos start with a very similar drone shot. Because if a potential client has seen one of the videos, and sees the start of the other, they might think it's the same video and click away. I was just wondering if you had taken that in consideration. Keep up the good work!
Interesting behind the scenes plus lovely results and one thing I love about such editing workflow is how the viewer gets to focus on the story being told by visuals. Great video thank you Mr Matteo Bertoli
great video! so inspirational. love how in this one we get to see your one-man band sort of progression, which I think many will appreciate. killing it!
Thanks, this was very cool. Nice to see BTS of the process. It's actually more interesting than the finished product. The most impressive thing is how you are able to start and finish projects. The ability to do, is a fundamental obstacle for most creators.
Hey Matteo! Amazing work as usual! I was just wondering which specific lens was used on the bmpcc 4k for the BTS, ( i know you mentioned Nikkor but dont know which one) Thanks in advance! :)
Thanks for the behind the scenes look! I look forward to sipping on some vino with you in Lisbon! I film in the cellar often, so just seeing your positioning of lighting helped a lot. Are you rocking an Omega Speedmaster???
Hey Matteo, great work btw. Just wanted to ask is there any advantages of having the follow focus on the left of the camera vs the right. Most ppl do it on the left but just curious on your thoughts?
Curious as to why you opt for a lav mic rather than setting up a boom? I understand crew, setup time, and managing extra equipment could leading factors. Curious what you think. Great videos as always! Really enjoying and appreciate your content.
im not matteo but theyre sick. If youre planning on doing short films, get them immediately. If youre planning on doing corporate video like this, then i dont know.
Great work!! Very inspiring how you did this one man band style and most of it handheld at that. Insane quality from black magic 6k pro, and great color grading to top it off 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I am curious what lens did you use for this?
Thank you for this info but the commercial looks too digital and clean to me rather than cinematic. I'm not sure if it's your lighting or lens or gradings but I personally like to get more cinematic look rather than video ish one .cheers
This is really cool. Fun to see your approach to this task - it is very similar to the kind of work that I do as a single person / run and gun shooter. I like that it seems really calm and relaxed on set, even though you have to get many shots, so props for that. I use your luts with the 4K and 6K as well, and I am really pleased with the look that I can achieve. Can you tell me what your approach to setting the correct white balance is when run and gunning for optimal results using the buttery luts? I find that adjusting white balance is something that I struggle remembering when not having a ton of time, being just one guy...
Thanks Thomas! I don’t really pay too much attention to WB since I only shoot braw. I usually stay 5600 outside and 4000 inside or even lower if there are a lot of very yellow lights.
@@matteobertoli thanks, man. Makes sense. Learning Resolve and switching from FCPX is my new year's resolve, so hopefully I will be shooting braw soon as well.
Hi Matteo, what was the reason to use the pocket over the URSA? I don’t see any tight spaces or complicated top down shots that would have been easier with the pocket than the URSA. With the monitor and the Vmount rigged onto the camera there would have been not much of a difference, right? All the best
It was much easier to transport and since I had to fly, it was a much easier solution. Also I couldn’t really use my rode mic with the Ursa since it doesn’t have 3.5mm jack.
I really enjoy seeing your BTS footage. Just a question; do you have the Rode wireless receiver connected straight into the 6k or are you using an external recorder? Cheers, Carl
When filming the b-roll & product shots, did you plan to grab images that would match the interview? Or were those happy accidents in editing? Thanks for this, great stuff!
Hey Matteo, great video. What frame rate and resolution were you using for the slow-motion shots? And do you mostly rely on focus assist to nail focus?

You are such an inspiration bro🙏 Thank you for all the amazing contents! Love your BTS so much, makes me want to grab my camera and shoot every time.

Even the BTS looks like a movie. That’s awesome!
My favourite shot may be the one in the BTS of the bottles moving right to left. That felt very cinematic in terms of action.
Incredible work. Thank you for sharing. Ever single one of your BTS videos inspires me to no end.
Loved the video and breakdown.
S35 sensor is definitely way to go.
Nothing added always simple and effective. Thanks for the inspiration.
Again, badass video Matteo, thank you for sharing. 👏🏻🤓
Non so che dire, sembri Re Mida: tutto ciò che riprendi è oro puro 💎💎
Great final videos and behind the scenes! Bravo Matteo!👏👏👏
Beautiful work Matteo!! I see you like the Leica R 35mm. I love this focal length especially on a full 35mm frame.
Fantastic work guys. Shots are magical.
Great work! I like how you used the natural lighting from the window for the interview. Perfect choice for the location. Thanks for sharing.
Just love this kind of videos ! Keep up amazing work Matteo :) Would love to see more videos like this !
Bravo. You really know how to squeeze the most out that camera.

Being paid, and accountable to someone else, means that you have to start and finish a project. It's a given.
Great!
DANG 🔥 everything looks beautiful as always Matteo, from the actual finished product to the BTS, everything, beautiful 👌🏻 those shots look sexy AF
Great video

Hey! How's using the Nisi black mist compared to Tiffen bpm?
Nice work Matteo °¬)
How much would the budget be for a project like this?
Matteo, do you use focus peaking or just eyeball it?
Focus peaking
Hi Matteo, what do you think of Meike cine lenses on pocket 4k? I have a lumix 12-35 but I thought I'd go for these more cinematic Meike lenses.
im not matteo but theyre sick. If youre planning on doing short films, get them immediately. If youre planning on doing corporate video like this, then i dont know.
Dear Matteo, Good Morning. nice video. one question which model of external monitor do you use on your Blackmagic pocket cinema camera ?
Thanks! Bm5 portkeys
Bella cantina
Which lens was used for the bts shot in 1:00?
Hello Matteo! Tell me, how do you like the experience with the SmallRig tripod? Is he good or not?
Not a big fan
What's the file sizes for this kind of projects? Do u record to a ssd?

This was fantastic - def my favourite kind of video you do. What sort of compression did you shoot?
Thanks! 12:1 or 8:1

Might be your monitor. I don’t see anything videoish in there. You are also welcome to link one your cinematic work so I can check it out.

what type of silver rods are those on the cage Matteo ?

Thanks! Straight into the Pocket
@@matteobertoli pretty clean audio for straight out of camera, cheers 👍
Lovely as always 😇. The BTS camera was P4K?
Yes it was! Thanks
When filming the b-roll & product shots, did you plan to grab images that would match the interview? Or were those happy accidents in editing? Thanks for this, great stuff!
Not really! But I already know based on the questions we drafted
Hey Matteo, great video. What frame rate and resolution were you using for the slow-motion shots? And do you mostly rely on focus assist to nail focus?
Thanks! 48p 6K 12:1. Yeah focus peaking ;)
@@matteobertoli Grazie mille!
@@matteobertoli 24p timeline and final export?
@@srandall31 yes
@@matteobertoli Why 48 instead of 50? Is there some technical reason?
great video - did you use pro mist or any other filters? you shoot 400 or 800 iso? with my 6K pro 800 looks looks too grainy
No promist! A bit of both I believe. 800 is super clean on my Pocket
@@matteobertoli thank you i wish i could say the same
@@matteobertoli how You manage with IR polution with no filter?
Sorry I only read promist. Of course I used irnd filters ;)
@@matteobertoli can you tell which one? And do you see any color cast with the filter on? Your images looks great :)
Why shoot at 48fps, in your opinion?
I saw many cinematographer shoot at 48fps, i just use it once because of a client request.
For slowmotion ;)
@@matteobertoli lol didn't expect that answer, cus why don't use 50fps then🤣
.Honestly I'm super curious and wanna try it myself
Great Video. Did the customer work out the questions beforehand in the interview?
Thanks! Nope, just read them for the first time there
@@matteobertoli Did the interviewee read a script from a prompter or did he just speak from the heart on most of that?
@@srandall31 read the above answer. It was all a conversation ;)
I noticed all these shots were a higher frame rate; what prompted this decision?
48p. Product/beauty shots always look great at 48p. Especially in a run and gun scenario
How do you achieve such a creamy look with the BMPCC? Is it the lens or you're just a master? Or may be the ND...
Ahah I just know the camera well I believe. The Leica R definitely help
@@matteobertoli do you have a masterclass on that camera. I'm considering buying one for my music videos.
1:14 PAROLE SANTE
Hi ... I always wanted to ask you what filters you use? Does it have IR cut?
there's a red spot defect on your bts camera
I know, probably a speedbooster issue. Not my camera, so I only found out later in the editing unfortunately.
There's some dead pink pixels around the center of your frame, in case u didn't notice. Very interesting video nonetheless!
It was the Pocket 4K. I noticed it right away, but I doubt they are dead pixels. Look too big. Might be an issue with the speedbooster
😬 'promosm'
