Also I really like the micromanagement you did for the skulls by shooting on the floor when they are all crashing down, but do you have any tips on when to shoot at them? congrats on the world record btw :DD
@@miraie TY :D!!! As for how to manage skulls while farming? Movement is the most important skill in this game. It's important to understand how "strafe-jumping" works in this game. A lot of it comes down to mastering the movement mechanics and having good aim, but there is a gameplan I follow when farming. My goal is to never let the skulls control me if I can help it. New players let the swarm get out of control and let the swarm push them around the arena frantically. Prefire all the early squids, get level 2 hand as fast as you can and start clearing skulls. Find a safe corner to camp and kite in a small circle. Jumping around the arena works, but it leaves you with less control, and makes it harder to keep track of everything going on. Pay attention for straggler skulls that might catch you off guard. I'm not sure what your PB is, but I should mention that farming is a bit of a meme... 90% of gems come after 450. If your PB isn't 1100 you probably shouldn't farm as hard as the crazy people do (unless it's fun!! its pretty intense gaming). My recommendation is to farm only enough to get level 4 hand on the first scrape of the Gigapede trio (250s), which means you should kill all Squid2 (big spawners), and farm Squid1 (small spawners) until about 80-90 seconds and start hard-clearing before Centipede. The farm top players do is a HUGE amount of effort for an absolutely microscopic gain.

I can't seem to kill any of the gigapede trio and just bunny hop around the entire game until the Leviathan spawns and I just don't know what to do at this point. I will however, take note of your recommendation of " *kill all Squid2 (big spawners), and farm Squid1 (small spawners) until about 80-90 seconds* " which seems like an interesting strat for me :o My current goal is to be able to kite the skulls easily without doing a big anti-clockwise bunny hop around the map ( like how you just find a safe corner to camp and kite in *small circle* ) + be able to reach level 4 hand. However the last time I touched this game was 7 months ago so it'll prob take me a lot of time to practice the game again :') once again thank you axe for the insight and your willingness to help out other players

Meanwhile I'm stuck at 839 for more than a year 🥺 but I just can't shoot so fast with a shotgun like you and my accuracy is worse - I would need a huge/more comfy mouse for that because my hand is huge (21.5 cm) and I can't find bigger mouse than Glorius Model D that would be ultra light as well 😳 I will keep trying on improving my score though. At least a little bit and seeing runs like yours is really inspirational so thanks mate 👍
thanks dude! i should note that aim is important but it's not the most significant mechanic in late-game. movement has much more complexity and will impact your run far more than sheer aim. also the fast tech takes a looot of practice. we learned recently that 180 BPM tech is actually frame-perfect (60hz)... if you are off by ONE frame the tech goes from 180 to 171 BPM 😳😳😳

So it seems like the top tiers are determined by gem management. Is it necessary to shoot 30 at once or can you stream them? I suppose to collect gems better you wanna have less shot time.
Shotgunning is pretty necessary for large farms. Frame-perfect shotgun tech is 170% more DPS than stream, and there's just too much on the arena to stream them down fast enough. You can shotgun very fast and still collect gems, you just need to be mindful of the gem despawn timer.

While DD is running, go to [Options > Auto-detect] so DDSE knows where to put the practice file. Make sure you are in the main menu, and not at the death screen or dagger lobby. 2.) [File > Open from devildaggers.info], and you will get a list of a ton of custom "maps" made by the community, along with practice maps 3.) Look for "V3NoFarm_259", and select that spawnset. It spawns you right at the Gigapedes with level 3 hand and 81 homing. You might want to adjust the "additional gems" value along the right side of the interface and add gems according to your usual farm so its more realistic. And that's all you really need to do. Make sure to go to [File > Replace modded 'survival' file] any time you edit the spawnset parameters, such as "additional gems". These spawnsets do NOT upload to the official leaderboards, so don't worry. It's just for practice and fun. When you want to return to the original V3 spawnset to do real runs, go (File > Delete modded 'survival' file). GL and have fun. Gigapedes are very hard. It's a big movement check.
