A Personal Goodbye: Eric Young's final news broadcast

Newsreader Eric Young will present his final 5.30pm bulletin for Sky TV on Friday night. The bulletin is produced at TV3's Auckland studio, and is a victim of the closure of Newshub. Young's presenting career has come full circle - he started at TV3, in the same building, when the channel launched in 1989.

Weird how i look at Eric and dont see the aging man he is, just still see him as maybe 20 years younger, in the same way i do my friends and myself. Strange how time moves forward and we slowly get left behind to some degree. You were once a newby in the NZ media landscape when i was much younger and now time and service has bequeathed you to be an icon for our generation. Thank you for a great service Eric.
