What's unique here? There are a lot of shorter links who do the same job.

Competition doesn't mean there is no product market fit. In this case, I would argue that the current link shorters lack several useful features

"30% lifetime discount for as long as you keep the subscription" lol. Sorry but that's very conditional and NOT A LIFETIME OFFER. This is what you get from technical people with no marketing acumen. Is the discount worth the pressure I get for making sure I renew my subscription consistently even when I might want to take a break? Why not 30% lifetime discount as a unique benefit for being an early adopter, whether or not I keep the subscription which I don't have to make sure I keep paying for the rest of my life. No hate on you guys and I think you have a wonderful product but it's getting annoying nowadays when startups become predatory or hostile by embedding some dark UX pattern in their retention strategy to keep subscribers paying for a lifetime such as "if you don't renew, you'll lose all your account info, sweat and tears you've dispensed for setting it up while you were paying us until you can't pay us anymore". Among many I can think of are Meetup, Jasperai, SEranking. Why must you put pressure on subscribers to keep paying?

I am a junior developer and I want to create a SaaS, but I don't dare to do it yet, because I don't know what the legal situation is with a SaaS. For example, there are many requirements in the EU and as a solo developer I don't have much capital to use but also spend on legal problems.
I would be interested in the legal part of a SaaS and what you have to pay attention to before you launch it.

Just, what do I need to do before launching a SaaS that I don't get in trouble.
@@konstis779 my advice would be, jsut start and figure it out along the way. once you hav a few customers you can talk to a lawyer about making it airtight. otherwise this sounds like procrastination. I want to start, BUT there is a, b c and d I need to do first. all the best
@@manwejyea, it feels like it, but when you have a problem due to the laws, especially in the EU, it can become very expensive.

It's hard to say - for this SaaS, I've had other developers do a substantial part.
So we've spent more money on this that you would need if you were to build it all from scratch 😊

Why did you launch a product that has so many competitors in the market, like Bitly? The market is already crowded. Is there a specific reason for it?
Because it's generally a much safer way to find product market fit 😁

As someone who knows the basics about web development but by far not enough to build anything, would you recommend getting started with a no-code builder like bubble or wized? Bubble is pretty simple, wized is more complicated but seems extremely capable and as close to actual coding as it gets.

Yes, I would absolutely recommend that.
LinkDrip started as a hybrid (No-Code/Code), and especially in the starting phase it makes perfect sense to use as much No Code as you can!
